  1. Agreed, we need to be able to change our Legacy names. I picked a rather stupid name because the legacy window kept popping up when I opened my talent window, so I chose one just to hide it. Now I'm stuck with that surname for every single character on that server? Ridiculous.
  2. I'm cancelling because my computer chair broke heh. Can't play the game in comfort anymore until I get a new one, which might take 6-8 weeks. Seeing as it just broke yesterday, and my sub runs out tomorrow, I figure it's fate. Hopefully when I get my new chair I'll still be interested and re-sub.
  3. By far the worst name, and most offensive, that I've seen is Hebrewhammer. And this is on a RP server.
  4. 12/9. Just got in. Good luck to those still waiting. Hope to see you all in-game.
  5. 12/9 and still not in on the second wave? *** BioWare?! How many fracking pre-orders between 12/7 and 12/9?!
  6. Really been patient with BioWare up to this point. Haven't complained or said anything rude. But at this point, they should just bloody let us all in. I really do not understand their reluctance anymore.
  7. One more thing to say before I log off until tomorrow. This might actually be a good thing. Maybe they'll add a few new servers tomorrow and we Decemberists will get our very own server?
  8. My thinking is that there are a lot of people in those last 8 days. People who waited until the last minute, like me. Just like the mass of pre-orders in the first waves, those 8 days may hold many players.
  9. Well, I guess we'll get in tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get in early. 9/12 here. Makes me wonder. I had the option to pre-order early, but I really didn't want to. At the time I had lost my interest in SWTOR. It's only recently after getting bored with Skyrim that I decided to pre-order. Was it a mistake? I don't think so. Better to spend a few tense days waiting for it, than a few months eh?
  10. Here's hoping that they'll get so close to the end of the list that they'll just decide to let everyone else in, instead of having to go through another day like this.
  11. There really should be a Dev post about this, but I couldn't find one. I really would like a response to this, because I'm not sure if I want to go or not. Hopefully by that time I'll be playing the game.
  12. I'm curious, because I live in Austin, TX; what exactly is the event going to have? Because it says it's at Best Buy, and I'm wondering what the ??? kind of party you can have at a Best Buy? While it might be interesting to meet the people behind the game, I'm not sure this event is wise, some people might still be a little miffed about the EGA. Anyway, other than meeting some BioWare employees in a weird store setting, what's going to be going on there?
  13. I think December will probably be just as full as other months. Mostly because I'm sure lots of people saw the game was going to launch soon and decided to preorder. As well, those who wanted to make the game a Christmas present. So yeah, might be more people in December than you think.
  14. Ah, but can you tell the new servers from the old servers? They don't exactly have dates on them when you're selecting them, do they?
  15. Us: BioWare, BioWare, let me in! BioWare: No, no, not by the hair of my chinny chin chin! Us: Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll complain on the forums!
  16. Got you. I was just joking. I think I'd puke if I saw this happen. Hehehe.
  17. Maybe they'll do a red and white crystal for Christmas. Wouldn't it be cool to have a lightsaber that looked like a candy cane?
  18. Thanks Urantia, that helps a lot. I think I will continue with my plan to roll Sith Warrior at launch. Once I finish him, I can look forward to the Jedi Knight.
  19. Yeah it took a longer time than I thought to write all that.
  20. Warning: This thread contains spoilers. Read at own risk. I just recently finished reading the Star Wars novel Revan, which talks about the history of the Sith Emperor, and why he must be stopped. First a little history about the Emperor. There is a question at the end. If you already know the history of the Sith Emperor, you can skip the next few paragraphs. As you may or may not know, the Sith Emperor is immortal, and over 1,400 years old at the time that SWTOR takes place. He gained his immortality by stripping all the life and force from his home planet of Nathema. Every living thing on the planet was consumed by this act, including the powers of over a hundred Sith Lords, and the force itself. The planet is a dead planet now, not even insects live there. The true horror of this act is explained in more depth in the book Revan, which if you're a fan of Star Wars lore I recommend. After this act, Lord Vitiate (his Sith Lord name before becoming the Emperor) led the remnants of the Sith, who were in dire straits from the Great Hyperspace War in a retreat from known space into the Unknown Regions. There he crowned himself Emperor, and immortal, built the Sith Empire over the next 1000+ years. Around 300 years ago (before the current timeline in the game) Revan and several others tried and failed to stop the Emperor before he could begin his war with the Republic. See, the Sith Emperor has been driven to madness. While immortal, he fears death greatly, and sees threats everywhere. Even with his awesome strength of the force he worries that someday he may die. Right now he fears the Jedi and the Republic. This is why he started the Great Galactic War. Okay, now that the Emperor's personal history is out of the way I have a series of questions. One, does the Emperor make any appearance in the game? Two, is his history discussed and any clues given towards his ultimate goals? Three, is there anything in game pointing to persons within the Sith that wish to usurp him? And is it possible this could be some sort of endgame raid at one point? The reason for all this is that I was planning on playing a Sith Warrior, (When I get access. Hint, hint, BioWare.) but after reading Revan I just don't know. The Sith Emperor is more than just evil, he wants to destroy every living thing in the universe. Honestly, I can no longer play the loyal to the Emperor type Sith I was thinking of. He has to be stopped. So, in your opinion, should I play as a Sith? My reasoning for still considering it is that I could play as a power-hungry Sith who wants to usurp the Emperor, and saving the galaxy is just a bonus. But, I may be forced by certain game mechanics to actually serve him, even though I know he is too dangerous to live. Anyway, thanks for reading this long post of mine, even though it has a rather selfish point to it.
