  1. We have a lot stacked against us in that match up, and spammable slows is retarded broken. @bbar: saying L2P is about the most unconstructive trolling you can do, us scrappers are at the bottomn of the PVP barrel and have soo much more on our plates to contend with compared to your EZ mode fire spam.. try and be more constructive However, the art of being a good Scrapper is picking your fights we have a lot of tools which allow us to do this well. We shouldn't be engaging them as priority targets anyways, we should be going for squishies on the out skirts. To whom mentioned blowing CD's and run away this is probably the best idea. blow through your rotation and kite them through some confusion and hopefully some friends will help and you may be able to duck around a corner heal up and rejoin with CD's, corners and pillars are your friend. This is tricky if one decides he wants you dead, in the current meta your pretty much effed if they are specced into their spam slow because they can keep you at 10m. My trick is to blow triage/def screen then disappearing act. I"m not 100% suire if the absorb will prevent you from coming back out of stealth but it seems like it does. this allows you to wait until a friend joins the fight or allows you to flee the scene. we are assassins not boxers (despite our name) Yes we fall off dps wise because we have to spend time looking for targets but helping secure kills and restealthing is imho the most effective way to play a scrapper
  2. I agree we need some love to recover from our nerf. But, it could easily be over done. Having 0 utility though i'm not so sure about that, we have the same stuns/aoe and some decent defensive CD's so where is our utility? We can heal ourselves and others even as a pure dps scrapper in a clutch situation popping around a corner and critting a 4k heal can change a losing matchup. I love the scrapper and almost gave up on him, but I refuse. Our PVE dps is not all that bad really from what i know, please correct me if i'm wrong about this, but i've heard reports of some putting out very respectible numbers. In pvp our DPS doesn't really stack up, not when you look at how some classes can back to back crit you for 5k each time, we can't do that even in full WH and we are designed around burst. Not speaking of DF, but as a scrapper we RELY on burst from stealth and being able to re-stealth after the quick kill. This is one reason our numbers in a WZ fall behind because we are not putting out damage while we "look" for targets of opportunity. IF this is how Bioware wants us to play scrappers i'm all about it because its very fun way to play, however i don't want to stunlock people to death, instead give me burst damage of the likes to make all those mara/pyrotechs have nightmares of me popping from stealth and sending them to an early grave. that is all stick with it, there is some novelty in being a bad *** with an under loved broken class
  3. OK, so I'm interested in seeing how my dps compares to other classes, and if I may need to alter my gear a little. SCRAPPER 3/31/7 completely unbuffed no stims no smuggler buff Cunning:1778 Bonus Damage:707 Accuracy 110.72% Crit: 33.20% Surge:74.42% Using Mox parser on the champ dummy i'm around 1100 DPS using this rotation shootfirst/backblast:with flechete pugnacity always up Flyby blasterwhip vitalshot sucker punch flurry I'm in mostly rakata with BH implant/ear/waist, campaign relic/matrix cube All augmented with a mix of Cunning and Surge I'm not sure how this stacks up against other classes and curious if any have feed back on how i might further fine tune my PVE damage
  4. i'm sure its been posted before, but isn't it BLATANTLY, like smash you in the face with a brick, obvious that powertech/vanguard dps is out of control.... avg 450k dmg a WZ... next highest 300k.. with way higher survivability than pure dps ac's anyways enough of my QQ, To those other melee dps'rs out there, how do you contend / counter these classes?
  5. @pistols N E X U S is the guild. i'm Reynøld Yeah, premades help out a lot. I'm going to stick with it though because it is still a lot of fun. I would love to see Bioware take a close look at GW2 pvp, from what little i've seen it's pretty amazing
  6. Yeah, working on it. I tried to limit the sound of QQ'n in the OP, as that was not really my intent. IT appears to be this way. Yeah, when i group with giuldies who are good pvpers we fair a lot better. Working on augmenting my BM atm, and getting my first few pieces of WH. I agree with not wanting any dev "easymode" i don't mind losing close matches. Also, there is a bit of my skill which will simply require more experience to overcome the slight deficit that is scrapper pvp. But, tbh i like the idea of becoming pro with and underdog class than QQ'n for buffs/nerfs. Thx for the feedback, gives me a clearer perspective of the truth of the situation. Me and some of my guildies who are kinda sick of Fatman Pugs and working on WH are trying to begin RWZ's. so at least if we lose we only have ourselves to blame
  7. Huh, well I guess it's just fatman then... weird. Well I'm not giving up on PvP, I just hope as i get more WH it kind of levels out
  8. Oh? I'm on Fatman and it's pretty bad here. Perhaps the population is closer on your server?
  9. PVP is becoming a real headache, its pretty good and could be amazing again. I'm republic, and we lose.... and lose.... and lose.... Now, obviously there are a few natural factors that balancing wont account for. More pvp centric players rolled imp and more people rolled imp. So naturally they'd have a higher rate of victory on this alone. But one would expect something like a 60-70% win ratio not a 80-90% win ratio. The biggest factor really I believe is gear. Imperials win on such a more frequent basis that it makes it much easier for them to gear up. While it is much slower for pub players. Over time it has grown. So as the pub tries to gear up more and more imps are capping their gear out. Further separating the gap between factions. This is simply my observation. I'm no pro but i'm not a scrub either, and its simply no fun to get face rolled for hours. I think a simple fix could be a gear rating system for match making. Seeing how this would slow down queue times cross server queues could help also. Just my 2c.
  10. I will on dignify your insolent ineptitude with this, the matches I got 0 commendations where the matches that started anywhere from 3-5v8... sooooo kinda hard to do anything substantial with that wouldn't ya say?
  11. I expect ranked WZ's to help the gear disparity a ton too.
  12. That has not been my experience I'm always fighting around a node, When I end up in matches where the teams are uneven what ends up happeneing is they grab everything and we can't take anything back. I have noticed what you are talking about with the guarding of nodes, but I will always attack the node after ccing imps nearby or fighting to bring them down and trying to ninja it from time to time. This has only been an issue in games that commence 5v8, which sadly has been 3/5 of my matches today.
  13. this pretty much sums it up, I"m not ruling out pvp i think its pretty decent and the maps are fun. But, i'll probabl do what an above poster suggested, and just do other stuff until the server population problem has been addressed or something else has been done to try and balance things out.
  14. I am trying to get into pvp but have run into some issues that are making me walk away from SWTOR pvp. Now if these issues are addressed will I give it another go, sure. But, until they are why would I subject something that is not enjoyable? This day has been riddled with 1 singular experience matches starting with uneven teams, getting face rolled by imps and earning 0 commendations. Albeit I am in recruit gear, but how on earth am I supposed to level the playing field if I am not getting the slightest reward for participating. As in 0 reward nothing, nada, zilch, zero. Once the momentum of this uneven matchup begins it is neigh impossible to regain a footing, and although it ends quickly my time is still ultimately WASTED because in the end ( and this has happend multiple times) I earn 0 commendations, so I beleive my tally for today is roughly 80 commendations for 5 matches played. I hope this is a bug or something, because I do enjoy the warzones i think they are well designed. I would even suffer though the losses if i was at least slowly earning my way up but after the EXTREMELY PAINFUL experience that was pvp today, no more. Why would I willingly do this to myself? P.S. your flaming is irrelevant, as I am the one not enjoying this experience.
  15. well on my server republic hardly wins and is outnumbered SEVERLY by imps. So the ratio of geared pvpers on imp side heavily outweighs republic. Not to mention those oh so fun matches where its like i 8v5 and you have hope of even getting commendations soooooo
