Very interesting. Ok, a couple of questions. First off... 2nd+ time through? I'm afraid I stopped playing previously when my characters were about level 30 so this is still my first time through. I am highly curious - what happens the '2nd' time through that gives you all that presense? Legacy bonuses? You can't really go through twice with the SAME toon right? Second (and on a related but distinct topic), I remember when I started really only slicing and biochem were viable as professions. Are any good money making ventures now, or am I still better to go all gathering, sell everything, and work the AH? Thanks again for all your help! Getting excited about getting into the game again!

Ok, that was a little rambly. I apologize. The question was this. Right now: a) Are all classes balanced for solo PvE play through the entire game? Are their any better at soloing than others? b) Has the Sith Warrior's / Juggernaught's DPS been equalized that they can participate in a group in a non-tanking role? Is it equal to a Maurader's? ... As the Sith Warrior / Jedi Knight's success at high levels been addressed. I remember this being a big issue after launch, where I was interested in playing these classes but all of the speed levelers complained that they were so much weaker solo than the Inquistors / Sage. Hoping they have been pulled up to being equal. :-) Also was hoping that you could reset your specialization, but I knew that was too much to hope for. LOL I am not sure I would ever tank, but the idea of playing a Juggernaught seems pretty awesome. Just hate to commit to only one lightsaber. :-) Thanks again for your help.

Just curious about whether there is any benefit if I play my Sith and Republic characters on the same server. Because I can't change specializations, the number of character slots lends towards playing on different ones but I have a feeling that the legacy perks are a reason to stay on a single one. Thanks for your help.

Greetings! Coming back to the game after a bit of a break. Thinking about playing our Sith friends (although I can't imagine abandoning the Republic in the end) . :-) Mostly a PvE player. I have heard there are some servers which are becoming vastly underpopulated. I want to avoid those and find folks to actually meet online. Any recommendations on servers before I redownload and start creating toons? (posted in the wrong forum before - sorry about that)

So, I just noticed that not a ton of our skills actually requires the use of an Assault Cannon. The only real stand out items is Charged Bolts (which is replaced by Grav Bolts) and Hail of Bullets (which seems inferior to Mortar Volley clearly, and even Pulse Cannon or Plasma Grenade in specific situations). So I wanted to ask the group, am I missing something? Is the same Barrel in a moddable Assault Cannon and Blaster Rifle do the same damage? Is there any other core abilities I am missing? Hate the idea of leveling up a Consular for third time! I did both a JK and JC in the Beta, and then JC after going live. Doing Tython again pains me greatly. :-) But it sounds like a good fit... Thanks for all the help!

Sounds like it could be a good fit then. I like using the Force AND having a place in groups! :-) Do you find yourself feeling like you do decent damage or just primarily healing the tank? Does it matter in smaller groups versus Flashpoints?

Greetings! As a dps'r (Jedi Shadow), been having a fun time at the game. However, on my server at least I have been struggling to do the larger heroics because... you guessed it... lack of healers. So I thought, what the hey, I should do my part. My first thought was to play a trooper. Different from the Shadow, so might break up the game mechanics a bit. It certainly does, and I have no hate to bring to the Trooper. But something about playing a... lowly trooper... in the Star Wars universe. I mean, come on... you can be a Jedi! :-) I would like to see a Trooper take on Darth Vader! So I thought about creating ANOTHER consular and leveling it up to 10 to pick Sage. Its a bit annoying, but not going to open the AC argument here. :-) One of the nice things about the Trooper is that you can solo a TON of stuff. Nice ranged damage and nice healing, coupled with tough armor. Do you feel the same with the Sage? Is he/she the same soloing power house that the Combat Medic is or does the light armor make things harder? Thanks for the help!

So I have messed around a bit with a Balance build and an Infiltration build for soloing. I am not 20 yet, so don't have the Shadow Technique yet. Between Force and Combat though, Combat seems a bit easier to solo with. You get an armor boost and some limited self healing. You don't proc as many extra damage hits, but it seems like the advantages are pretty solid. Anyone else out there come to the same conclusion? Shadow Technique seems to add a ton of damage, so if I stay Infiltration I may change my mind. But right now, Combat Technique seems pretty rockin'! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Any advice or comments welcome!

So I started playing the Jedi Shadow over the Sentinel, and I for the most part really like it. I like the stealth aspect, and really like the flexibility to tank if I need to. So my problem is actually dps related. When I did the first flashpoint (Essenes), I barely did any damage. That was because the rest of the groups were all Jedi Knights (or ranged) and all used Force Leap to get into combat the second an enemy was sighted. By the time I ran up, everyone but bosses were dead. So my question is - does this stay a problem? I obviously have some very limited ranged abilities, but that doesn't seem like the solution. Does Misdirection increase your running speed not in stealth? Maybe between that and Force Speed I can get in there? Any help would be appreciated!
