  1. In both the Havoc Squad Breastplate and Havoc Squad Specialist Breastplate, the jetpack exhaust effect, visible when using Jet Boost or certain Bounty Hunter abilities, or interacting with "jump to location" objects (such as the ancient tiles in the Yavin 4 Stronghold), is graphically bugged in multiple ways.

Here you can see the jet boost effect for the Havoc Squad Breastplate. The exhaust flame is upside down. And as shown here, the exhaust flame does not properly or change direction when the player is moving.

As for the Havoc Squad Specialist Breastplate, this screenshot shows the misplaced exhaust nozzle and this one shows the nozzle's failure to tilt or change direction when moving.

  2. The helmet model for the Exarch and Exemplar helmets for Knights and Warriors (the one with the Roman Centurion-esque transverse crest) is bugged; hair clips through it. The other helmets don't have this problem; on every exarch helmet except Knight and Warrior, hair and lekku are hidden when worn. Furthermore, it does not hide hoods when worn (not a problem with the Inquisitor/Consular or Sumggler/Agent Version, but strangly also a problem with the BH/Trooper one), and since the crest inevitably clips through any hood, I'm fairly certain this was also unintended.

I'm looking forward to seeing this fixed, as I think the set is a great look for my warrior.

  3. Swords have always had a decent presence in the Old Republic era, and I feel that many of them would make great cartel items, complementing many of the already-existing armor sets wonderfully. In particular, there are a number of swords that would fit right in:

Beskad- Mandalorian sword, made of Mandalorian Iron, and the weapon I can only presume are what Torch's Mandalorians, most notably Jos Beroya, are meant to be wielding. Plus, since there are enemies that already have them, I don't think they'd require a new model.

Naga Sadow's Sword- Aside from complimenting his robes, it's got a stylish design.

Ludo Kressh's War Sword- While it appeared in KOTOR II as a double bladed weapon, I'd prefer that it instead take its comic appearance as a single-bladed weapon with an elaborate green hilt.

Sword of Ajunta Pall- A sword so legendary it used to have its own SWTOR server named after it. This I'd like to retain its status as a double-edged weapon (thus fulfilling the role of electrostaff instead of vibrosword), and based on its item descriptions in KOTOR- possessing a notched ebony-colored blade and with a dark circle on the hilt- rather than the relatively generic model it got in KOTOR.

Je'daii Blade- I imagine an ancient, lore-relevant (given the Jedi's resettlement of Tython) katana would make for a pretty decent addition into the game, for both Jedi/Je'daii lore enthusiasts and those who simply want katanas.

    Any other sword suggestions?

  4. Same here, this is annoying. We finally get trooper-themed armor with a working jetpack (Clone Jet Trooper was my favorite class in the Battlefront games) and the jet is in the wrong place. Here's hoping they fix it, since it's clearly a graphical glitch.
  5. haha, but what does that mean????

I'll translate the previous post as best I can:

Take enhancements and mods that provide power and surge rating. When you have enough of the rated PvP gear, you may want to consider some enhancements that provide power and alacrity. Some on the forums have argued for including a few accuracy rating enhancements for those using the Tactics/Advanced Prototype discipline.

  6. I wish Bioware would implement a character story and level reset, so I could replay my characters without having to grind valor, comms, and social points, buy speeders again, and not lose access to discontinued crafting schematics and gear that they have, or having to make a new character and take up another server slot.
  7. Almost universally I prefer the Vanguard over the PT animations.

PTs use an endless supply of missiles (which I find very dumb) and fire from their wrist. I dont even know why they have a weapon if they never intend to use it.

I've no problem with Bounty Hunters using their do-everything wrist launchers for most of their abilities (and a few others with their jetpacks) any more than I do with Troopers using their do-everything blaster rifles for most of their abilities (and a few others with their power/shield generators). The only problem I see with the Trooper is that while just about every Bounty Hunter armor includes wrist launchers and jetpacks to accommodate their abilities, most blaster rifles don't look like they could fire grenades or mortar rounds. I actually like the concept of multi-function rifles (just look at Judge Dredd's Lawgiver Pistol, an awesome multi-function weapon in its own right, and imagine it scaled up into rifle form), but I like them more if they look like they can fulfill those functions.

On the other hand, between the popularity of adaptive armors and the Outfit Designer, and the inclusion of blaster rifles that definitely look like they could fire explosive rounds (such as Obroan, Dread Forged, and Revanite/Dark Reaver blaster rifles), I feel this isn't worth worrying about anymore.

As much as I'd love to see Vanguards do some of the Bounty Hunter stuff with their armor, it won't happen. Troopers are supposed to be like those Republic soldiers from Star Wars - The Clone Wars. I wish they weren't, but they are...

Unbreakable Veteran and early trooper PvP armors definitely look like they could potentially accommodate stuff like that (in fact, we've seen a Mandalorian, Mavrix Varad, wearing this variety of armor). They have what appear to be wrist launchers and shoulder mounted missiles, and the chest piece's backpack has what could be a jet or rocket nozzle on it. I also distinctly recall an ARC Trooper having a wrist-mounted grapple/taser, as well as instances of clone troopers with jetpacks. It's too bad that armors don't have unique animations beyond jetpack exhaust.

  8. anyone ever figure out what the name of this blaster rifle was ? I have been looking for months.

The one in the screenshot I can't find anywhere, but the one in the concept art is the Campaign (or War Hero) Field Tech Sniper Rifle. Seems that model ended up being used only for Sniper Rifles.

  9. Here are my ideas:

-Mandalore the Vindicated's armor (the old Tionese/Columi/Rakata Mercenary set, if I recall correctly)

-Darth Sion's Sith Assassins' armor (one of the two Sith Assassin outfits from KOTOR II, specifically the ones fought at the Harbinger and at Trayus Academy. It has red goggle-looking eyepieces)

-Darth Nihilus' Sith Assassins' armor (the second SIth Assassin outfit from KOTOR II, this variant seen on Dxun and on the Ravager, and worn by the Sith you fight in the Tomb of Freedon Nadd)

-Ubese Hunter's envirosuit (possibly the KOTOR II version, but not necessarily)

    -King Adas' armor

    - Vrook Lamar's robes (the red jedi robes he wears in KOTOR I and in the KOTOR comics)

    -Juhani's jumpsuit

    -Onderonian Vaklu Soldier's armor

    -Onderonian Royalist Soldier's armor

  10. I didn't anything about crafting it. I said is it possible if someone has the set unbound laying around somewhere or no?

Crafted Battlemaster gear is Bind on Equip. Check the GTN, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding what you're looking for. Just keep in mind that the craftable BM gear requires a Valor rank of 60 to wear.

On the off chance you're on The Harbinger, I can hook you up with a set.

  11. Thank you both for your awnsers.

That wasn't what I wanted to read, but I think it is, what I had expected.

So the only helmet for a republic trooper with the mandalorian t-visor are Cassus Fetts and Mand'alors helmet. *snief* :(:(:(

BW ADD MORE MANDALORIAN HELMET FOR THE REPUBLIC-TROOPER!!!

The Master Hunter's Headgear (Bounty Broker's Association Champion level reward) is distinctly Mandalorian in design, although it lacks the t-visor.

  12. There's a Trooper-Consular connection: Lieutenant Iresso apparently served under Jorgan at some point.

Edit: Nevermind, was mentioned on second post. In that case I've got nothing that hasn't already been said.

Edit2: I suppose it could be worth mentioning that there's an antagonist connection with Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight: in Threat of Peace, Harron Tavus and Satele Shan (as well as a few others) bumped into Darth Angral and Darth Baras, with Tavus and Angral coming to blows. Of course, I'm sure that's common knowledge here.

  13. For bonus points, read the following in Don Lafontaine's voice:

It was the perfect plan. He had the perfect team. Get in, get out, and go home rich. The Hutt Cartel wouldn't know what hit it. But things don't always go according to plan. And it is when things fall apart when the team is truly put to the test...

    Starring:
