  1. If this is accurate, this is so...bizarre. It's not really clearly supported by the story we've been exploring, indeed the story we have so far could even undermine this choice. Did they borrow the writing team from Mass Effect: Andromeda?
  2. I just got hit with this too. It does seem to be a section x thing.
  3. I tried it, unfortunately, as soon as I switched chapters T7 is removed from list of main characters. Even when I finish chapter nine he's not back. I'm glad it worked for you though, and thank you for sharing in case it works for others!
  4. This still appears to be a problem, despite the patch notes, anyone found a way to get our little friend back?
  5. Despite the patch notes saying that the issue with Jedi Knights being unable to summon T7-01 after replaying chapter 3 has been fixed, I still cannot summon T7 on my knight. Update: I have replayed KotFE chapter 3, 7, and 8 (chapters where T7 appears or is a required companion) and still no luck. It appears, if this update fixed the problem, it is only for those who have not yet encountered the issue.
  6. Looks like this will be fixed with 5.2. http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/04182017/game-update-5.2 "Addressed an issue where if a Jedi Knight repeated Chapter III: Outlander they could no longer summon T7-01."
  7. No luck for me yet. Can you tell me what if anything you did to get him back?
  8. This remains an issue. I have contacted customer support, they told me that they are aware of the issue and working on it, though no time frame was given.
  9. I'm sorry you're having this problem too, but thank you for letting me know. Not the most satisfying answer, but at least they are aware of the problem.
  10. After replaying the first eight chapters of KotFE on veteran mode I am now unable to access T7-01. He's not listed in main characters, nor in unavailable companions, nor in the crew skills window, even the companion stronghold decoration for him is displaying a hologram rather than the character. I can use him in the actual chapters where he is a required character (i.e. Lady of Sorrows and Taking Flight), but once I'm out he's gone. This is particularly vexing as he was/is at companion influence level 50. Anyone else have this problem or know of a work around? He does not show up in the companion terminal on Odessen either.
  11. Level 65. Item rating 216 (all defiant gear) Jedi Knight Defense discipline I ran three companions at three influence levels through the Alderaan Heroic 2 star fortress. I did these tests alone with SCORPIO rank 1 influence (2478 presence with force convocation buff), Qyzen Fess rank 25 influence (3678 presence with force convocation) and T7-01 rank 50 influence (4928 presence with force convocation buff) all companions were set to the damage role and I only used the rank ten alliance perks on the ephemeris and power core levels to control for their randomized distribution throughout the fortresses. During the runs with SCORPIO and T7-01 I didn't notice much difference except for kill speed. The SCORPIO run took one hour to complete while the T7 run was only forty minutes. No deaths occurred on either of these runs. In contrast the run with Qyzen again took an hour, however it resulted in several deaths stemming from Qyzen's lack of survivability. All companions were guarded in each run. My assessment is that all that was accomplished with these changes is the speed with which we can complete content has been slowed. Prior to the changes I was completing these star fortress runs with the rank 50 T7 in 30 minutes. Additionally, achieving the exceedingly expensive rank 50 influence is hardly noticeable from a combat perspective and therefore not rewarding. The real difference was that having a melee player and a melee companion made things more difficult. Also, Vector still does his Kaliyo impression in tank stance.
  12. Upon completing chapter nine of knights of the fallen empire I now have two T7-01's companions. One is listed under main characters and the other is listed under Jedi Knight companions. They have different customizations, weapons and biographies. Their influence is also different, I had gotten the one listed as a Jedi Knight companion up to rank 33 influence while the main character version is still at rank 10. They both can be sent out on crew skills, or one could follow me around while the other is on a crew skill. For all intents and purposes they function as independent companions. Is this intended?
  13. Kira's story is gated by your progress. Once you have completed your class story she will give you another quest. Once you've finished that you'll get her legacy unlock.
  14. In my experience using her as a tank, I find that power and surge are the most useful. I also turn off her defensive buff and slap guard on her so that she uses combat acumen (critical chance buff) without sacrificing too much survivability.
  15. I play a guardian and personally find Rusk to be one of the more useful companions. I generally leap into a group, area taunt, sweep and let his aoes mow the rest down. He has more aoe attacks than Kira does, he is ranged so he's not getting hit all that often and on the one occasion that I noticed he actually pulled a mob on his own, he has the heavy armor to take the hits until I could leap/guardian leap back and help him. That said, I find I can't make much use of Kira, so our play styles may just be different enough to make the differences between Kira and Rusk meaningful to us. I'm not sure why you think Talah would be any different than Rusk though. Sure she's cool, but I image she'd play pretty much like the Sith Warrior's Vette which means she'd be a lot like Rusk.
  16. From the few youtube videos I've seen and how they differed from my experience, I can say:
  17. Defense Guardian. My preferred combat companion is Doc. My preferred dialogue companions are Doc and T7 at roughly 90% and 10% respectively. The only [rare] deviation from Doc is Rusk if I am teamed with a healer, he does decent damage, stays out of AOEs and doesn't usually pull aggro.
