  1. ...I need help deciding on Merc or PT for Bounty Hunter and Commando or VG for Trooper. Hey all, I've gotten back into playing SWTOR recently (even more so since The Force Awakens released). Because I have altitis and play mutliple characters, I often switch back and forth among them. Anyhoot, I need help deciding which Advanced Class to play for both BH and Trooper. I'd prefer to play a different style AC for each, rather than playing the mirror for both. Strictly speaking, if I play a PT, then I'd play a Trooper; if I go Merc, then I'd go VG. So, any advice in regards to which pair would be better, either PT/Commando or Merc/VG? Any info is appreciated including skill comparisons, the look of gear, animation differences, etc. Thanks in advance!

  3. Not to sound like a pompous ***, and perhaps I'm just missing it, but would it be to much to ask to provide a time and/or link to the stream? I apologize if I missed it, as I'm extremely busy atm; however, am I crazy, or is the time or link not listed in an obvious spot?
  4. QFT!!! You can't expect everyone to be smart. Remember, it takes all kinds to make up the world The game gives you 8 advanced classes per side. I realize that several are mirror images of others, however some of us are on RP servers because of roleplay purposes (imagine that). So, when BioWare gives us 8 slots per server initially and tells, 'have at it', I did. How was I to know that this game would tank so bad that I would have to transfer all my characters from the only two servers I have characters on, to the very same server. I guess I'm just stupid for thinking that it wasn't the fault of the players that were still sticking around and not BioWare. Why should BioWare have to make any more of a sacrifice. Truly I, the customer should be the one that has to sacrifice by deleting 4 or so characters that I've already invested time on. What was I thinking?!
  5. Thanks for all the comments, guys. Some of you are missing the point somewhat. BioWare put out a server transfer list and only one of my origin servers was on that list. So, I transferred all 8 characters from that origin server not realizing and perhaps assuming that the origin server my republic characters were on wouldn't need to be transferred or perhaps not to the same server. So, BioWare's failure to list all servers at once is the other issue here. If I would have had all the info from the start, I would have known and thus realized that I would have needed to sacrifice some characters from the beginning. Therefore, I could have chosen the eight I wanted to merge from both servers, selecting the 8 I play the most. However, unfortunately I had already transferred all 8 Sith Empire characters before finding out about the server my Republic characters are on and now will have to delete possibly 4 to make room for 4 Republic characters, rather than just leaving those 4 Empire characters on the old server til a later date. So, if nothing changes, I will be pretty much forced to delete characters that I wouldn't have had to if BioWare would have been smart and announced all server transfers at once. Wait, did I just say if BioWare would have been smart? Lol, that's funny! But, I'm sure BioWare was more concerned with the impact on their servers and things going smoothly in that regard and perhaps that is why they implemented things in increments.
  6. Yeah, I suppose I could sacrifice some of my characters, but I'd really rather not as I've grown attached to just about every one of them. I need to say that I don't know what it is with BioWare and its decision-making. I think they need to hire me for the Common-Sense Department that they're in dire need of!
  7. I think you just disproved your own point. They couldn't know. They should have assumed most players would have characters of each faction. Which, is why they should allow players the option for one of two destination servers. In case they ran into something like this! Hmmm?
  8. Now what do I do? Unfortunately, BioWare in all its wisdom thought it best to only give a partial listing of Origin/Destination Servers initially. So, after receiving the instructions to merge from the server that all of my Empire chars were on, like a good little soldier, I transferred all of those Empire chars (8) to the destination server. Then of course, later on, I'm now seeing that the server all of my Republic characters are on is now being sent to the same server I just transferred all of my Empire chars to. So, what the heck do I do now?! I looked in the FAQ and didn't see anything listed in regards to this problem. Me doth think this not well thought out, BioWare. Can we get some sort of direction from a Dev/Mod etc. on what players in this situation are supposed to do? Thanks.
  9. BioWare, thank you for expanding the Legacy Promotion and doing what was right! I commend you.
  10. Article about what a catastrophe this is. http://sorcsandsabers.com/games/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-bioware-tells-some-subscribersthese-arent-the-loyal-players-were-looking-for/
  11. Yes, congrats on dividing and alienating a majority of your population. Kudos!
  12. I realize this is the underlying reason for BioWare doing such, but what really irks me about this 30-days of game time is that my cousin who canceled his sub (with 1 level 50) over a week ago, just received his e-mail this morning for his 30-free days. I asked him if he plans on using the game time and he said no, he's already uninstalled SWTOR and moved on. So I ask you BioWare, are those the "valued and loyal customers" you were referring to? Glad to see it's paying off! I'll take my 6-month recurring sub elsewhere where it is valued. /sub canceled as of 04/13/2012
  13. And a further point to it all would be the fact that a lot of us that took our time enjoying the story or better yet enjoying multiple storylines were likely listening to BioWare the whole time they were building up SWTOR by saying "it's story that matters"... ...*cough*and getting to 50*cough*
