  1. By the way, I mentioned I am not a developer. I am a paying subscriber only. Not that very means very much to the critics.
  2. If this game is so successful then why have the number of servers been reduced. If profits are increasing then I find it extremely hard to believe since the game has gone to F2P and a lot less servers are operating. This seems to me like a cost cutting exercise given that SWTOR did not achieve its forecast server populations. A community of players and a forum is useful in allowing freedom of ideas. Most whom have responded to this thread seem to be experts at critiquing other people’s ideas, however lack the balls to put forward ideas themselves. Know I understand why! For fear of reprisal. Good one - way to go in alienating players. To all you developers who are so called experts. Listen to your players , you don’t have to act on any ideas, but down put down the person making them . Shame and a complete lack of customer relationship skills by the developers who responded.
  3. I appreciate many of the constructive comments made and my post has certainly ignited some emotions in some players. I appreciate that many voices of the community really care about the success of the game. For those people who made a direct attack on me. as to whether I have been to business school or a partner to anything. I would say this, No one ever went broke making a profit. For those who suggest that they are highly business educated, getting yourselves in millions of dollars of debt means you are unsuccessful at what you do. Take responsibility and realise that the formula for SWTOR is wrong and requires a new approach, unless you are in the business of losing money. I am a paying subscriber, feedback is critical. My post where some ideas, maybe some good some bad, but I shouldnt be insulted because of my comments. At least I had a go for some ideas. What have you put forward.
  4. So another dissappointed fan. blah blah blah!!! I am no developer but I can tell you how to fix SWTOR. TEN immediate fixes to SWTOR that will turn the game around and make millions. For all you developers, principals, and decision makers ruining the brand of star wars. Here is a 101 on turning the game around. 1. Rule no. 1 to any game development GAME = FUN = MONEY, no FUN , you guessed it, no MONEY. 2. Remove all Paraphernalia within the game. cartel rubbish, commendations, time wasters, anything that distracts a player from interacting with other players and makes the game boring. refer to rule no. 1 Start small and then grow your base. 3. Make all existing items armor and weapons available to all, no binding, resellable to anyone, even cross factions. 4. Make SWTOR credits the only real currency in the game. NOT real money and a stupid website taking me away from the game display. 5. Treat SWTOR like a new baby and hand it over to someone who really cares. i.e The most talented developer out of the three companies. I wont mention any names but the abbreviation is BW. The other partners should be silent and not meddle and spoil great development. Make a team of people who all love the brand. 6. Remove the isolation. I.e make a mutual freespace between factions. A space station for republic and imperials where there is diplomacy. All players should be able to mingle and converse with each other. (taunt each other if you like). 7. Make ingame decisions rewarding or devastating. offer duels to anyone, with credit betting involved or offering an item to the victor. or damaged items to the loser. 8. Fix everything that doesnt work, group finder, etc. 9. Offer this service for free and then charge a nominal amount to keep the developers fed until people see the value in paying more for a subscription. 10. Remember rule no. 1
  5. SWTOR Support, I wish to express my views on SWTOR to date, as an ongoing subscriber and as someone who wishes to see the franchise succeed through SWTOR. While I have at most enjoyed the game I feel it’s my duty as a subscriber to tell the decision makers within the SWTOR Partnership some home truths. Firstly, it is likely that more subscribers would have left the MMO following updates 1.2, 1.3 if it had not been that a lot of your subscribers are loyal Star Wars Fans. If you where to take an age demographic of who plays the game and who can be a long time subscriber I believe it would be over 25. On that note it is important to take serous consideration of what I have to comment on because I am one of these subscribers whom may stay for years or leave. I believe PvP has gone out of control and imbalances are now worse than ever. You can also refer to Ed Park comments online. Too many changes to list here, but the game does not feel as balanced as it did earlier. What makes matters worse is that with so many iterations of changing the talent tree and gimping gear (opting in and out) has led to a monotonous grinding path of several gear sets, which now don’t pair well with the changing of skill talents we have all received. One example is my Vanguard (valor 71) who owns two BM gear sets and started a while ago a war hero set. With the new changes and some nerfed skills talents etc. have left me with a bad experience for what the developers are offering in this game. Looooong Grinds that seem to continue even when you have achieved WH status, or BM sets that are useless and don't pair well with talents. Many people will know this. . I am not the only one who feels this disappointment in the game and it makes the game a little less enjoyable and removes any motivation to promote the game with my friends. I would ask that a system be introduced and a commitment by the developers that allows any player to redeem their previous PVP gear for war zone commendations at their original purchase value. I think this is fair and reasonable outcome. An example is that you have made it easier for new people to enter pvp with recruit gear however those people already long down the road on their Pvp journey must really be feeling ripped off from the talent, gear resets. Your decision and response to this feedback and matter will determine whether I continue spending my money on an ongoing subscription or just simply cancel my subscription. It would be regrettable and I would feel disappointed if this was the case and tell my friends through social media not to play this game.

  7. A Port to Illum is a good idea. Travel times to and from planets including loading times need further improvement
  8. It would be awesome and I am sure most players would agree if the legacy perk rocket boost allowed for vertical lift or at least levitating. I think this improvement to the perk would encourage new legacy characters to follow through collecting datacrons for the 2nd, 3rd time etc and would seem as a nice reward for achieving the legacy perk.
  9. Dear Bioware, EA and Lucasarts, With all the rumours floating around and the negative press please make a formal announcement as to what long term plans you have in place to make SWTOR a long term success!
