Greetings my comrades of the Star Wars Universe! I'm from Jung Ma, I don't know if transfers are still active but I would if I found the correct hardcore PvP-RP guild... I know this is a long and large thread, but please help me here, I'm extremely grateful so thank you so much, I'm so very grateful to return home and have such great, mature, and star wars fanatics. I had a 5% chance to survive after I took a bullet in the throat, from there it went into my 3rd/4th vertebrae before missing my jugular vein by micrometers! I may never recover completely, especially due to the brain injury I have sustained and very very intense Post Traumatic Stress Disorder... Just please read this and help me in anyway possible Now here is the meat of the help/opinions I need: 1: First and foremost the game has changed [b[completely[/b] in my absence! My main (Sith Sorcerer) and our most effective spells being nerfed [/bUT] heaven forbid bio-ware understands that we wear CLOTH FFS! The classic definition of a "glass cannon"... 2: I'm seeking a guild/clan/outfit a professional mature players whom Role Play heavily. I can speak Mando'a, Huttese, & Sith. 3: I've been part of the gaming industry since Everquest. In those following years all the way up to SwG & WoW I would find exploits and report them to the developers who used me as an asset as I was a part of nearly every "Exploit/Botting" site there was, thus for instance I would reveal the exploit or the Bots coding (especially in SwG) and get paid for it... From both sides! *evil laugh* 4: So what classes are hot now? I *LOVED* sith sorcerer but apparently it has been **** on, ranged force user is my favorite. Though I do have some level 15-20 Mercenary, Assassin, Marauder, & Infiltrator. I have the Sith code in its entirety tattooed on my back so that is where my obsession comes from. Before I was shipped I heard of getting for instance a level 50 Sith and than leveling up say a miraluka (I love them) to 25 and due to my memory problems I forget what you received, but I think it was to unlock that species for the enemy faction, correct? 5: I personally have really only played lightsaber wielding players, I had awful annoyances with BH for instance, but infiltrator with a sniper blaster looks nice... Alright, I've been reading SW:EU novels for many years now. I have reached a point where I need assistance in decided what books I have missed and are worth the buck. Below I will compile all of the books I have (*EXCLUDING THE ENCYCLOPEDIA, DnD SW Books, Dictionary, Language, and books of this nature that aren't novels but "Content Viewing" books. I have well over 50 of these in my collection) Let me first state that I have read all Timothy Zahn (The best SW Writer) and Drew Karpyshyn books. Here we go: Lost Tribe of the Sith (The Collected Stories) All of "The Old Republic" books obviously Red Harvest Knight Errant Darth Bane Trilogy & Duologue Darth Plagueis Cloak of Deception Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter Outbound Flight Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader 501st Death Troopers Death Star Shadow Games ALL of the "Tales" Series: Mos Eisley Cantina, Empire, New Republic, Bounty Hunters, and Jabbas Palace. Shadows of the Empire The Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor The Courtship of Princess Leia The Thrawn Trilogy & The Hand of Thrawn Duologue The Jedi Academy Trilogy The Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy The Corellian Trilogy The Dark Nest Trilogy Legacy of the Force all nine novels Crosscurrent (I may have missed a few, obviously I have the actual SW books as well and also the rare "Chrystal of the minds eye first edition!) I hear Fate of the Jedi is just awful, I know the NJO is supposed to be amazing and I will get all of them soon, but that is not my question. What *other* books am I missing out on? I'm a "Lore-Keeper" in Star Wars terms in the fact that I have almost every book published as mentioned in the introduction of the technical, explanation of force, encyclopedia/dictionary/language books, and even the beautiful galaxy map book and so forth, but I digress. Please list your opinion of the books I need to purchased. Please no NJO as I'm already getting it, and no FOTJ either as it seems to be utter crap. One note, I normally read only novels, but I hear that Dark Horse has some amazing comics (I'm most interested in the series about Darth lord Krayt) though I prefer novels. I did however read my first, the compiled edition of "Crimson Empire" which I thoroughly enjoyed. You are all very welcome and as stated in my last post I would love for you all (excluding the trolls) to friend me and I'll continue providing information such as this but so much more. I'm a "LORE MASTER" having read every SW-EU novel, having all of the DnD books, speaking Huttese, and Mando'a (Mandalorian). Along with what my last post covered. Are any of you on Jung Ma and Sith? If so I would like to meet you and sadly the RP-PvP servers are about 5-10% RP and 85-90% PvP (Which is out of character and kids talking as if they're playing WoW!). I see exactly what you're talking about though with devour and parasitism working together so I fixed that in the build. The only thing that's bothering me is the 2 pts in Corrupted flesh. Is this the 15% reduction on periodic effects, does it make enough of a difference to make it worthy of investing into instead of what the previous build suggested? If so that's what my new build reflects and all in all I see where your changes will definitely help/effect the build in a great way! Thank you so much.

You're absolutely correct and I agree with everything you stated. Anyhow this is the build I chose: It's a 1.3.6 Madness build from http://www.noxxic.com and it's working outstandingly well! I'm very impressed and unlike I was told by a couple of sorcerers, madness is not dead... In fact far from it with this build atleast. It also gives me massive versatility in both PvP & PvE

You say I contradicted myself but I don't see how. This is a pure "imaginary" thread of peoples opinions, go and learn some more about previous lords of the sith pre bby and post. You'll see what I mean... Good luck to you sir and your quest for knowledge!

While I agree with most of your post, I completely disagree and know for a fact after reading 96+ SW-EU/SW novels/comics including the dictionaries, all of the SW DnD books, and most importantly the "Jedi vs Sith - The essential guide to the force". that PALPATINE IS *NOT* THE MOST POWERFUL SITH EVER. I'd bet life on that as I know it to be a fact from SW cannon. True Palpatine committed full scale genocide against the light side users of the force and even dark users that were not connected to the empire and or bound to the Emperor (Such as Vader & Mara for instance) Start reading and learning all of the sith lords starting from the very beginning, trust me Palpy is by far not the strongest. Now if we're talking about cunning and or the largest empire than Palpatine would be #1 I don't debate that... What I disagree is that power in the force / lightsaber combat Palpatine factually is not the best. Besides, when you control the entire galaxy (Excluding the unknown regions and some petty unneeded worlds far away from the core) he need not subject himself to the force to maintain complete power. Remember that I don't deny Palpatine was powerful, especially under Darth Plagueis's tutelage... Just not the *most* powerful. I could make this into a 50 page explanation but I think I'll stop here, if you're still reading be proud lol. Now are there any *FULL* specs anyone would recommend? I just watched a video or two and have read many sorcerers stating "100% Madness now that the hybrid build does so much less dps". As I showed and stated previously I'm currently running a full lightning spec, but as others have pointed out the problem with it is cast times/standing in one place far too long, also in another post in this thread it is mentioned that as soon as the enemy in the WZ kills you or recognizes you using a full lightning spec they will even forget the huttball to run up to you and kick your ***... *sigh* So now I'm dropping the full lightning build, I don't know what the guy did that suggested it to me to make it so good and enticing (But he also had full WH when I only have a BM Helm/Chest the rest is recruit). Anyhow I would appreciate even more input into this thread as it's not just for me and to help me but imho for ALL sorcerers that either just hit 50, are still grinding for their WH gear like me, and etc. Even if you don't have much to say please atleast post your build and rotation with it is all I ask. You will be doing not only me but so many in our community a great favor! Plus you'll be strengthening our players and thus our class in PvP across all servers! I have already had numerous others in situations like mine message me about the need and helpfulness of this thread... I have to say what species's I'd like to see are (I'm listing a bunch to improve the odds that after the cathar (Which damnit should have been a ****** Trandoshan!) one of these others will be implemented : Trandoshan, Falleen , Wookies, Kel Dor, Gand, Neimodian, & Weequay Bith, Duros, (Muuns To the least extent though), Verpine or Killik, Ssi-ruuk, Rodians, Barabels, Devaronian, and Flesh Raider (Look them up!) Mon Calamari, Quarren, Nautolan (These two are so much better than the Quarren), and Selkath! Also a Herglic would be pretty interesting... But that wouldn't work in the game at all... As much as I'd like to say Mandalorian that wouldn't work at all since many Mandalorians are nomadic and they are *NOT* a specific race/species. They take in those whom need help, alas there are all different kinds of Mandalorians, they're not only human and as I stated previously the majority of the Mandalorian population are Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, and etc all around the galaxy... But their is an important object to that and the fact is if Mandalore calls upon them for war the vast majority immediately return to Mandalore to prepare for war. Oh yeah I almost forgot most important of all GUNGANS! The most beloved race for every star wars fan , imagine a dark user of the force being gungan just like the last movie parody of Star Wars by Robot Chicken (Seth Green)

I was told by several sorcerers that the old standard Madness/Lightning spec is dead now. I've tried this spec numerous times and haven't had much success, but my gear is also a factor (BM Helm/Chest - the rest is recruit = 935 Expertise). Does anyone have an opinion on this build or would be so kind to post some more builds including there rotation in PvP would be fantastic and I would be so grateful. I'm so confused by my favorite and main class now that so much has seemingly changed in my hospital stay. -Thank you for the time you spend on replying.

Greetings my Sorcerer comrades. I just returned after several months in the hospital. I'm looking for PvP oriented builds... I know a-lot has changed in my absence and I want to hear everyone's opinion on what Is the best PvP build is now. I used to always run a hybrid majority Madness build with lightning up to chain lightning, the rest being in madness. Let me just point out that in my 12 years of MMO's I AM NOT A HEALER & NEVER WILL BE!, it's never worked for me and I am poor at best at it, I play "Glass Cannon" style classes for a reason... Kill them before they kill me. Let me point out before anyone starts frothing at the mouth to troll that comment: I am well aware that sorcerers are not glass cannons... Even though I really wish they were. I will be utterly grateful for any and all help. Even if you don't have a build, just discussing any of the new changes for sorcerer that I should know will be helpful. Such as x spell got a buff and y spell was nerfed and or this stat gearing is now much more important than than a previous stat (So I can outfit myself properly *IF* anything changed with out stat usage/needs) -Thank you for your time, Darth Serbikuun.

Greetings my comrades. My main is a 50 Sorcerer. Now I was in the hospital for two months and alot has changed. I would like something new and refreshing instead of the Lightning-Madness Hybrid build I've used for so long. I need help deciding how to setup a lightning focused talent tree that is viable for PvP. I don't mind the idea of being a "Turret" at all. I'm an avid PvP'er and I want the most bang for my sorcery, after all I am wearing cloth and I *SHOULD* have one of the highest DPS's in the game. Beyond that it would be even more helpful if you shared you lightning rotation with me, though I want full lightning, I don't mind a little hybrid just as long as I can utilize lightning to the maximum that is needed.
