  1. Yeah, I've experienced both of these. You can fix the force armor glitch in a FP by exiting the area and going back in, but it can still happen again.

Another horrible glitch I've been getting lately is where my in battle rezz sends people outside the FP instead of rezzing them right there. Defeats the purpose really.

  2. I cannot agree more. The companions really have no meat to them. They could effectively get rid of Healer/Tank/DPS companions by simply buffing us to mitigate their loss. They just seem like they're more or less there for show, not actually affecting anything.

I'm tank specced and I use Theran exclusively to keep my downtime minimal and keep me healed up during the hairier encounters (2+ strongs, Elites, etc). He occasionally pops off a few rounds to add to DPS, but that's minimal at best. Beyond that, I never know he's there.

What I agree with Kitru on, and what I don't unterstand is why they didn't do anything more interesting with the "Stances". I would have liked to see the Stances act more like how Specs work with our characters.

Like I said before, I like Theran, but after 20+ levels of being with him, he gets really stale really fast. I was looking forward to using Nadia and working on the relationship side of the game, but as a tank, I literally have absolutely no need for her. If she had a stance that turned her from "tank" to a force healer, she would give me what I need and I'd love to use her as a companion. The only other healer companion I can have is my ship droid and... well, I have a hard enough time not grinding my teeth when he talks about sowing more padding into the cushions of my ship's seats.

Same with other specs too. I can't imagine a healer Sage has any real use for Theran... he more or less sits on the ship twiddling his thumbs. The companion system, as it is now, is showhorning us into using one or two specific companions, while the others never see the light of day.

Nadia is not a tank, just so you know. She's melee dps. While it might not be as ideal for you to use her, my good friend is a shadow tank and used her exclusively as soon as he got her.

  3. Maybe it's just me, but I love Tharan.

However, I do fully agree that Gaiden-Ko and Hollow Voice should have been companions. I would have liked for them to replace Zenith and Iresso. Those two have the least connection to the overall consular story, in my opinion. Nadia is your padawan, Qyzen was close to your jedi master, and Tharan used to travel with

Syo Bakarn, the First Son, which is very important if you take him with you on some quests in Corellia.

Also, I didn't think Gaiden-Ko had force powers other than his visions, did he? It never really said one way or the other.

  4. My Nadia was using a single bladed saber for awhile because I could just give her my hand me downs instead of seeking out a new saberstaff.

I think it's odd that there are no force healers and (I think) only one force using tank. Also, it seems the universe has more female force users than male ones, if companions are anything to go by. I think I would have preferred to have a male padawan, so that I could have had a different female romance choice. (Even though I like Nadia, I still think romancing your padawan is a little weird).

  5. My Nadia is geared so well compared to the rest of my companions, that even if I didn't want to user her I would almost have to. And this isn't because I've favored her, it's because she gets hand me downs. Or when I get pieces from hard modes or ops that I already have, she gets some new gear.

She has almost 17k hp now. Makes dailies a lot easier.

Note: I also used her almost exclusively once I got her. Yes, it would have been nice if she had a couple taunts, but I did just fine. The damage of her unique aoe abilities is fantastic.

  6. Yeah, I pretty much viewed it the same way as the first person to respond. He love trophies, but only those he has earned.

But another thing. Iresso doesn't like military gear, despite being our only companion in the military.

And Tharan likes luxury more than technology.

And Zenith likes imperial memorabilia, despite rabidly hating them. (I can sort of understand this one, although it still seems odd to me. I wouldn't collect nazi memorabilia.)

  7. I got synthweaving to 400, made my rakata pieces, and then switched to artifice and am now making magenta crystals for the masses.

Seriously, synthweaving was really only worth those rakata pieces. At first I wanted it because I thought it would be cool to make orange pieces for custom looks. But every orange piece from synthweaving is super bland and just plain garbage in comparison to the orange pieces from quests and flashpoints.

  8. Nadia was way more useful to me than Qyzen. The damage she deals is much better (her unique AOE attacks hit hard) and she isn't that hard to heal. Some people say they switch back to a tank companion for elites, but I never had to. As it is, tank companions are a little bit weaker than I think they should be.
  9. I would recommend it. There are some neat things in the game you will appreciate a lot more.

There are several quests on Taris tied to events in KOTOR.

The Jedi Knight has a lots of ties to the games.

    Also,

In the consular storyline, you talk with Bastila and other deceased masters a couple times. Much cooler if you've played KOTOR.

    And,

The flashpoint Maelstrom Prison and False Emperor have characters from KOTOR. Namely, Revan and HK.

  10. For DPS sages, project is close to useless. It's only purpose is, like you said, for using on the run. For telekinetic sages disturbance becomes your go to attack, and for balance it is telekinetic throw.

However, as a seer, balance is still something I use. If I ever find myself in a fight where healing isn't needed as much and I have room to toss out some damage I use TK throw, project, weaken mind and mind crush.

Although I highly doubt they intended project only to be useable by healers.

  11. Instead of nerfing sage healing, why can't they buff scoundrel and commando healing?

Sage healing isn't so powerful that things become trivial.

I wish people would stop going straight to nerfing things, when in reality they just need to make the other two healers better.

  12. Marginally good news everyone: You don't have to logout or restart your computer, you can just hit the 'Exit Area' button and zone back into the instance and you'll once again be able to bubble the offending member.

    This. ^

But strangely enough, it's only happened to me twice, and both times were in the Red Reaper flashpoint.

  13. I prefer my rocks, thank you very much. I think it is one of the reasons that sage is still not vastly overplayed compared to sorcerer. I still regularly see more sentinels, guardians, and commandos than sages on my server. But when I tried out an alternate empire character, there was no class even close to sorcerers.

Also, the pebble storm is one of our best advantages in PVP. It is so difficult to tell where it is coming from in a crowd, where as purple lightning leads you straight to the offender.
