I play on the Ebon Hawk RP server with my guild. I see as General chat as OOC chat which is fine. I use it to ask for people that are looiking to group that are doing the same quests as I am or flashpoints. What is difficult is that the way chat is now, it is difficult to have RP chat with people around you. Its just not set up to be able to RP in character with other PCs that are around your area. As for names, I dont care and I just ignore them if they are stupid except for maybe the vulgar ones of course. What really gets me in general chat is the constant comparing WOW to SWTOR and arguing and complaining. Can we please just drop it and move on???
