  1. Man I totally noticed this yesterday. Day before I was level 18 and did some matches to get 180 tokens to buy the orange lvl 20 PvP pants, got the pants for 180 tokens. Then yesterday I log in finish up Dromund Kaas class quests and then queue for some more warzones so I can purchase the orange lvl 20 PvP chest. I get to about 230 medals and then head to the fleet station. To my surprise the orange lvl 20 chest is now 320 tokens and no where was it in the patch notes. I can understand increasing costs for lvl 50 gear if it was took quick to aquire, but why up the costs on the lvl 20 & 40 gear? That's seems like a bad move because a lot of people including myself do a few matches at time then do some quests. If you now have to do twice as many matches your going to out lvl your class quests a lot faster.
  2. Dunno how you can say its too fast were you playing 30+ hrs in week or something? Seems just fine to me. Hell I still do not even have a lvl 50. Out the 5 RL friends I have playing this game only 2 have hit 50 and that was just last week. The other 3 are in the low to mid 30s. Sure we all work 8+ hrs a day and go out and socialize on frequent basis but I would say we still all commit at least 15 hrs a week to the game. Based off my leveling experience in other MMOs I would say they got it just right. Not too fast nor to slow, but that's my opinion.
  3. No do not nerf Biochem. There is nothing wrong with it. The problem is other crew skills do not have a end game compensation to compete. Sorry to say it but the crafting skills are pretty damn bad at end game. Only useful one is Biochem, but to nerf Biochem would be stupid. The solution is to make every crafting profession have some useful self perks at end game that are evenly matched in terms of stats etc... I am seriously disappointed in crafting in this game. My highest profession is Armormech and so far it has been useless aside from gearing Kaliyo. That is literally the only useful thing so far. Makes me wonder if I have just wasted all that time working on it because I do not have high hopes for it at max level.
  4. Playing on a 30" monitor running 1920x1080 rez. All settings maxed to high, Shadows on low, 4x AA forced (thru .ini). FPS - Fleet average 40, everywhere else 80+ System custom built: Win 7 Pro 64bit AMD Phenom II x4 955 (OCed to 3.6 ghz) MSI 890GXM-G65 AM3 12 GB G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3 PC1600 Palit GeForce GTX 460 OC 1GB Kingston SSDNow V+ 128GB SSD Thermaltake Toughpower 750w
  5. Macro's prove nothing of skill. If you know how to use all your abilities and when you will regardless of macros or not. I would go so far as to say that some people using macros are in fact being smart. Macro's also can reduce clutter on your bars. Example of a smart macro I used in another game: I had made a macro that equipped a shield and sword, switched on defensive stance and hit a tanking cooldown and taunt. This macro has save the group I was in from wipes many many times if the tank went down. So Mr. Benjamin tell me how that macro is bad and lazy? In the time it would have took me to open my bags equip the shield/sword, then switch my stance and then hit a CD then taunt healer would probably have gotten his faced smashed in. Instead with one button I picked up that mob and saved the group from a wipe. That's just smart game play.
  6. The difficulty is a joke in LFR, I mean seriously easy. You can ignore many mechanics of the fights because they do so little damage and healers can heal right on through it. First night it was out I tried it and our pug group one shot everything. Second week when the actual Deathwing encounter came out same thing, we one shot everything. That tool maybe convenient for those who can't spend much time raiding, but all it is going to do is lead to people getting lazier and not getting better at the game. If you know anything about how heroic dungeons were like in Wrath, well take that and now apply it to raids. That's LFR for you.
  7. Why not name many things I like about this game? Anyway the #1 thing I like about this game is the story! #2 re-play value with different characters. Omg I don't have to level 4 characters through the same zones with the exact same quests over and over. Sure some will the same quests (shared) but overall the story will be different. #3 companions! #4 Lightsabers #5 Bounty Hunters #6 Mako
  8. Its because they cared absolutely nothing about this game until they bought it in December and ran into problems/things they did not like so they decided to come on the forums and spoil it for everybody else. Prior to this they were probably on the WoW forums complaining about things in that game. Most of those who joined the forum community a lot earlier actually care about the game instead of just jumping on the new MMO bandwagon. I bet most of the new Dec forum members bashing on people and the game will disappear at the end of January.
  9. Go to Preferences and under I believe controls is an option to set an ability queue of 1 sec. Do that and you will have less issues with button mashing. Hit one ability and you can hit another ability up to one sec before the global is over and it will fire off right after global is over.
  10. With a 1.5 sec global and the ability to set an ability queue of 1 sec there is absolutely no need to button mash at all. That's what he is saying. Button mashing is a complete waste in this game and your just bashing your keys for no reason.
  11. Oi what is going on with some of the hotkeys. I tried binding Ctrl+T to set focus target and it would not work. I also tried binding T to focus cast modifier and that would not work, yet I was able to bind T on my hot bars.
  12. Probably something wrong on your end. My game has never ever once crashed and I have been playing saying since day 3 of EGA. I have actually only had one DC too now that I think about it. Are you getting any error messages? Does the game freeze and you have to ALT+F4 or does it just crash out to desktop? What OS are you running? Computer specs? Need some more specifics then just games crashing.
  13. Couldn't agree more A lot of people will come in this thread and bash/flame you for this post. I couldn't care less about those people. To me the game is great and I enjoy it immensely and it feels like a real RPG with real character immersion. Its the first MMORPG I have played (and that's a lot) that really takes the RPG to heart.
  14. Yeah or some kind of shimmering glowy light surrounding the player character.
  15. If your a tank using a healer companion your leveling far far slower then a tank using a DPS companion just saying.... Your opinion on what companions to use it is just that, your opinion. Don't go spouting it out as if its the bible of how to play or putting other players down because they are not doing what you do.
  16. Totally agree man, Bioware totally took the RPG part of MMORPG to heart. Its the first MMO I have played ever that really feels like a RPG and I have played many MMOs. On topic yeah looks like SWTOR has kinda made history for highest release subs, you cannot deny that. 1.5 mill beats anything else I know of upon initial release. Folks over at Bioware should definitely be celebrating and getting a nice bonus in their paycheck this year.
  17. You won't see me complaining if all the people who rant, rage and QQ about the game leave on January 21st. Actually good riddance, I would rather have a smaller but better community.
  18. A lot of players may be sub 30 because they are also trying out different classes concurrently to see what they want to take to level 50. Myself I have already leveled two Bounty Hunters (both ACs) to level 20. I have also leveled a Sith War to 25 and a Operative to 22. I did this to get a feeling for them before I make a decision on what to get to 50. I also have 4 RL buddies playing the game and they are all doing the same thing. All of them have a couple of toons with none over 30. So I think I wouldn't be wrong in saying that large % of the pop is doing something similar.
  19. Don't hold your breath just start a new character. If they do add transfers its not going to be for a while. There are many other things that need addressing at the moment or improvements and transfers is probably not one of them.
  20. I am not apposed to a group finder provided it is not cross server, but honestly I have no trouble finding a group. It may be different at level 50 since a majority of the population is still not there yet. My opposition to a cross sever group finder is that it does hurt the community and removes accountability and responsibility for your actions because chances are you will never see that person again. Same server group finder however I am all for. It makes things easier sure. I believe they could easily add it. They do have the LFG flagging already and making that server wide rather then zone wide could potentially make things easier.
  21. Your problem is not taking the initiative and starting your own group. If I want to do a flashpoint I type LFM for X flashpoint. This applies to heroic quests as well, when you pick up the quest just type out LFM for X Heroic quest in general. I do this and have a group usually within 5-10 mins. Joining a guild will also make this easier. Ask for guildies and get them if you still need more then go to general chat for the rest. I have not missed a single FP nor heroic quests that I have wanted to do. Not one! Look in the mirror and you will see the cause of you troubles.
  22. It's true totally agree, flashpoints are not an issue for healing without mouseovers etc... However an ops is a different story. I can understand why raiders and hardcore players are asking for it. I was a hardcore raider healing through most of the heroic raids and those few seconds saved just clicking your heal on a target make a difference. I have yet to get into end game raids as healer in SWTOR so can't fully make a judgement call on it. Hopefully I find out soon but I can tell you I am not looking forward to raiding with this horrible UI.
  23. Sorry to but in here but I totally agree with you on the UI. It is not healer friendly compared to other MMOs. I have been a raid healer in WoW since Nov 2004 all the way up until SWTOR came out. Yeah it sucks to not have mouseover macros or a mod like Grid or Clique. Hell I healed in RIFT and that at least had a great UI with lots of customization and macros. I think personally that is the one failing of design so far in this game for healing. Other then that I am happy with healing. The mechanic's of resources in this game do make healing a little more challenging and think that has turned some people off from healing but not me. I will keep at it, its what I like to do. I will cope with no mouseovers for now and hope to good they institute some macro's soon and make this games UI better (hello UI Scaling).
  24. Good to know I was wondering about that. I have only respecced once myself and that was to go heals for flashpoint with some buddies.
