  1. You fail at basic mathematics.

     

    3.6k x 2 (pre-cast then battle cast) = 7.2k absorbed.

     

    20% damage absorb on a 15k character is only 3k until death. Generally a 1min cooldown at the lowest. Sometimes a second, stronger shield is available once every 3 minutes.

     

    Yours is available every 20s. So, yeah, who is the kid now?

     

    That would be 6k in 40 seconds then.

     

    Also what the guy above said, Assassins in tank spec have the same icon of Sorcerers...

    A half bad player should be able to down the bubble in 1 shot, or 2 in the worst case. That leaves Sorcs with the lowest damage reduction in game for most of the time as it takes about 3 seconds to make 2 hits and bubble got a 20 secs cd. Most BH can go through bubble in the first or second shot, Ops and Sins usually go through it with the opener and do good damage with the first ability they use. Bah, humbug.

     

    A good number of classes have multiple damage reduction abilities...24%, 40% reduction for 10/12 seconds is a lot of defense..from all sources.

  3. sorc dmg is NOT being mitigated, it bypasses ALL armor and is only partially dumbed dwn if classes use their defensive cooldowns. constantly popping DC's instead of doing dmg or healing is not what pvp is about.

     

     

    What are you talking about? Sorcs do energy damage and that is mitigated by armor and sages kinetic and that is also mitigated.

     

    But regardless, they dont do any more damage than other classes cept maybe guardians/juggs, nor more burst, the difference is they have some aoe abilities..and it isn't even a unique class feature, just look at BH and to an extent Ops.

  4. So, the troll basically said Sorcerers need nerf, but he also said BH(mercs) and and Agents(Ops) hard counter him..which is all other classes except one. Logic much?

  5. My advice to Bioware:

     

    remove Expertise and set a flat damage reduction to all damage done by player to player; this would also solve the problem of doing disproportionate damage in respect to hp pools and if needed, you can simply tweak the reduction accordingly to the needs; Then let people farm pvp gear for useful set bonuses and prestige, rather than expertise.

  6. Playing as Republic on PvP servers where you're usually outnumbered 2-3 to 1 in most zones, where AH is meh and finding a group can be very time consuming and sometimes even impossible...isn't easy and isnt particularly fun.

     

    Kept there my lowbie smuggler and one day I'll level it up, but you better have some active friends there cause finding company is getting harder by the day.

  7. 3v1 should be able to make you go from 100% to 0% in matter of seconds, if they dont, it isnt cause you're good at popping enure and saber ward, it's for another reason...

     

    Yes other classes use cd's as well, but that has nothing to do with my point. 3 min cd only affects one fight every 3 mins, it's useful but not a main ability cause it;s too sporadic.

  8. Ah yes im far more disappointed with Plasma Brand as well, it's even crappier and yes I talented Blade Storm all the way too since it;s the only thing we got unless you wanna be another Force Sweep bot, eventho I still think it's sub par.

     

    But seriously, Plasma Brand, what the **** is Bioware thinking? Top tier Guardian-only damage ability in our DPS tree and it's utter crap. Boggles my mind, there must be some wrong calculations somewhere, a bug or something in Bioware's calculations cause I dont get it.

  9. I did not say it is bad per se, I have to talented with Force Rush and Momentum too, so that overhead->blade storm makes a nice combo. But, overall, considering other classes, it really isnt much of a damage at all considering we spend so many points to talent it, and that's without considering Burning Blade cause frankly the damage is more an added insult than anything.

     

    That would make our 2.5k blade storm the following: 2 or 3 training points (Momentum), 2 for Force Rush to crit, 2 for some 130 dot damage in 6 seconds (burning blade)

     

    Now considering you (it would seem from what youve said) you've spent 7 training points for a 2.5k damage ability which isn't even a 100% sure thing. That's abysmal man.

    GUARDIANS ARE NOT A TANK CLASS! THEY MERELY HAVE A SUPPOSEDLY TANK TREE WHICH BTW IS UTTER *****!

     

    Saber Ward? A friggin 3 minutes cd for 12 secs? Sure, mine is always on bloody cd, you know thats what happens with 3 minutes cd abilities! It's even more sporadic than relying on pulling off a bloody Force Sweep! 2k damage Blade Storm should be good damage for you? What kind fo scrubs do you play with? Any class will blast your puny 2k out the window and without any cd and having a truck full of ranged control that our class utterly lacks. Oh jesus, I stopped reading there.

    and anyway, I have nothing against you, I just completely dont agree the class is fine and the changes with patch 1.1 dont fix anything AT ALL which makes me even more angry

  11. We're not trying to combo anything, we're really just trying to dance around long enough to get 4 stacks of singularity.

    Any competent player will stomp you hard while you take your time.

     

    It is so bad game play, it is such garbage. That's what Guardians are reduced to.

  12. So, melees shouldn't be able to get in melee range at all it seems.

     

    Ranged got knock backs, stuns and slows and generally a higher damage output... all usable at range. Without gap closers melee's couldn't even land a hit, is that what the OP wants? I guess for some scrubs it isnt imbalanced enough to win already.

    that would take at the very least 27 seconds, in the real world 35-40 secs or more, Force Stasis and its equivalent dont do that much damage, to do those 4k hits you have to be DPS specced, with a single defensive cd on a 3 minutes cooldown and a stance which generates sub par focus.... dont spread lies

  14. To those saying your server is 50-50: have you actually checked same zone population by making alts on both sides or just guessing? (Bloodworthy etc?)

     

    I thought Niman EU was pretty even too, til I made a Imp alt and noticed they are usually 2x and sometimes 3x us. That's no "slight" difference. I also noticed the average population on peak hours on populated zones like the Fleet is much lower than it used to be before, but I have no way to prove if people left the game or switched to Empire side.

     

    Other than that, I agree with the general dullness of the Republic, the stories, the armor designs, hell even the shady Nar Shaddaa-looking un-Republic crappy Fleet station just isn't up to it.

     

    Man I'm whining a lot about this stuff on these forums, but what can I say, that's the sad truth.

  15. Please focus. They devs are not conspiring. More attention was paid to one side possibly due to time constraints.

     

    People should stop excusing bad mistakes. Bugs or intentional, it's now left to players' opinion no matter what BW says, and it does not matter anymore. Even with time constraints, you should dedicate the little time you have equally to both and that's assuming what you say is true, which i doubt since they surely had paid testers on both sides.

  16. 1 big crit (not really, only on un-geared players) that takes quite a bit to prepare and then on CD for second after second during which you do abysmal dps, damn we are so OP

     

    I wouldn't mind a big hard nerf on those Force Sweep auto crits, it's such a clunky, bad, forced playing style, I really wouldn't mind if they removed its viability altogether, it's utter crap.
