  1. Because it gives you more depth to the game play. Currently, if you pick up a piece of equipment you can only equip yourself, class permitting of course. You can't throw heavy armor on a consular or inquisitor class but if you could put it on your tanking companion who requires heavy armor all is good. Rather than just selling items you can utilize them on another companion and increase their stat bonus'. My thread is simply a suggestion to the designers of the game. Just my opinion, I preferred the total customization of player companions in the original SWKOTOR and SWTOR.
  2. I understand the presence bonus and the crew skills bonus' you receive from sending them on solo missions for trades. I'm talking about when SWTOR was first launched you could pick up a random piece of equipment after defeating an opponent, gloves, chest, boots, etc..., and equip your companion with it. Depending on the rating of the equipment, it would increase your companions stats, endurance, accuracy, shield, etc...We can't do that anymore because it says when you hover over a piece of equipment with your cursor it says "Equipment will not affect your companions stats", or something along those lines. I just wish SWTOR would revert back to that level of detail.
  3. One of the many things that made SWTOR, SWKOTOR AND SWKOTOR2 great was the ability to not only increase your stats through new equipment, but your companions as well. I left the SWTOR universe for about 6 months and came back to this newer version where you can't increase your companions stats. I was pretty disappointed because you can acquire new equipment throughout the landscape but you have to revert to selling most of it because it doesn't affect your companion's stats at all, only their appearance. Whats the point of randomly acquiring a sweet techblade from a corpse in the game if you can only equip it but won't affect your companions stats!?!? Unless I'm missing something to where a subscriber can adjust this, please fix this visceral betrayal to the SWTOR fan base!!!
  4. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. If any more ideas on controllers or keyboards please let me know.
  5. I'm not new to the game, level 35, and have gotten use to the keyboard controls but I was wondering if there was compatible game controller I could buy for my PC and this game that would make it easier to control my player and companions actions? Please let me know. Thank you.
