  1. Like any game, it takes time to get the good end-game pvp gear. People want everything to be easy these days... Casuals have completely wrecked gaming.

Now you're holding the flag for hardcore gamers? But its ok for hardcore gamers to buy a new game with little or no endgame?

    Make up your mind Eklipzze.

If your hardcore, a low amount of endgame content is going to drive you away b/c of boredom. If you're casual you'll be content with little endgame, no?

You're talking out of your ***.

  2. This was never meant to be, or was it advertized as a PVP based game.

I think I remember 'Story Driven MMO' somewhere..

    Yeah, that's BS.

Most of BW's videos and live demos pre-launch were focused around pvp. And I recall multiple interviews close to launch with their team featuring pvp as the hot topic.

  3. Let me put it to you this way OP

    You don't like this game

You say you don't want to pay for this

PvP is not up to your standards

You feel that WoW does things better

You also are discouraged that you paid so much money and arent satisfied.

WHY THE F ARE YOU STILL HERE?

You are posting on game forums of a game you don't like, and clearly checking back to see what everyone else thinks.... WHY? Why do you care? Just go do something with your life and stop adding those useless, nonconstructive few KBs of data to the internet every time you post.

Maybe b/c BW took my favorite licensed, intellectual property and turned it into a steaming pile of crap.

Do you realize another game company CAN'T release a Star Wars game in an MMO format until BW agreement expires? Just like when SOE rented SWG. So now any SW fanboi who dreamed of playing a solid SW MMO is now screwed once again by a bad company.

  4. Yeah, I do have what I feel are a lot of valid criticisms regarding the game design. I was mildly annoyed at those things but willing to live with them. Good ol' Lolum put a big dent in the armor... minimizing the achievement of valor rank even moreso than a can't-lose reward system already had. However, over the last little bit I've seen a few things. I've seen people whose resource pools dont deplete, I've seen people cc immune, I've seen people speedhack, I've seen people noclip. I think the thing that finally kicked in the flight response and over-rode fight was the day I saw someone fly. Not kidding. You can doubt me all you want. Really happened, truth will come out eventually :)

Hahaha, yeah, you know when player will be bold enough to hack, without a worry about getting their account banned, a game has sunk.

  5. I just cancelled my sub. Got 2 days left. It would take a act of god to change my mind. The PVP is just horrible. The same 3 Warzones over and over filled with hackers and exploits. I am done. I don't want to feel like I need to cheat just to have a chance to win. It had removed the FUN factor

I will see you all again in about 6 months or so unless. Maybe this game will have had the fixes it needs by then or maybe WoW pulls me back to it next expansion. Doubt it but you never know.

Wish all you PVP folks the best!

    Take care. :)

Yeah, I getting ready for TSW. I hope Funcom had 20/20 hindsight and will actually put out a quality product this round.

  6. Nonetheless, This Game is miles above AoC, Aion and Warhammer.

    Here's a news flash.

Funcom didn't have the mass exodus until almost 6 months after launch.

So technically, I paid for a AoC account way longer then SWTOR.

AoC lost about 700k accounts during that disaster, leaving them with something like 300k actives.

Swtor lost 300k account in the FIRST month alone, out of their 1.7 million boxes sold. If that's not a bad sign, I dont know what is.....

(disclaimer: my numbers are far from perfect, but theyre in the ballpark)

  7. The imbalance to which you refer was created by player choice NOT by Bioware. Why are you demanding that Bioware to force players to change factions?

Well it depends on what you mean by choice. Honestly outside of wearing a cowboy hat or wielding a huge assault cannon, why would you want to play a reb?

Reb's story sux, their animations suck, the appearance of their gear sux. Even their titles and mounts blow. Take this from some1 who leveled reb toons to 50, 30, and 26. And 3 lvl 50 imps toons.

Most players were railroaded into going imp just for the cosmetic fluff alone. Let's not forget there was actually class imbalances at launch with their mirrors. Can any1 say Scoundrel? Don't make me post the patch notes with that disaster.

In my book, Bioware is directly responsible for faction imbalance. This was a hot topic for ages during beta that was never resolved. Bioware's negligence is becoming legendary.

  8. "EverQuest (EQ), is a 3D fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was released on the 16th of March, 1999."

"Star Wars: The Old Republic, abbreviated as TOR or SWTOR, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based in the Star Wars universe. The video game was released for the Microsoft Windows platform on December 20, 2011 in North America and part of Europe."

I'm sorry, are you comparing a game made in 1999 to a game made in 2011? Thats a bigger time gap from the N64 to the Wii...

It's amazing how low ppl's expectations are and how easily they are amused.

"Damn these ppl are spoiled. They expect every buggy to have an engine in them! Couldn't they just be happy with a few horses? Darn kids!"

    /sarcasm off

  9. Uh post NGE???? Don't you mean pre-NGE? SWG will not be matched in any way or form. The crafting alone makes SWG better than this game. Every MMO that comes out is just like WoW, with some minor changes. I tried WoW for two months, and fell asleep with the boring graphics, and lack of content. Why does everyone feel that WZs are the only way to have content? How does pvp in this game make sense? There isn't purpose to the pvp in this game, other than getting some tokens. I find this game getting more and more boring the longer I play it.

    Pre-NGE was great.

    -amazing crafting

    -substantial world loot drops

    -non-instanced raids/dungeons

    -player base raids

    -chance to make Jedi

-relevant content across all the planets

    -cool character build/progression system

    -server events

-player cities, and the list goes on.

The only thing that sucked was everyone had to wear composite armor and eventually anyone and everyone became a Jedi.

  10. Guys.. This game is bad but it isn't THAT bad. Yes, the PvP Content is horrible but hey, it will get patched. I'm probably also taking a Break till 1.2 or 1.3, unless my Sentinel Twink is extremely funny to play at lvl 40.

To let SW:Tor die Bioware has to completely **** up 1.2. If the Rated Warzones are functional, the new Warzone funny and the new gearing System not this frustrating, this game will be great.

So stop flaming and just quit.

Nonetheless, This Game is miles above AoC, Aion and Warhammer.

Sorry, but nobody should have to juggle guildmates and pay a sub for a year before they get the drips and drabs of a good endgame. Granted you can unsub and resub at a later date, but honestly, how many ppl still around after 6 months has gone by playing other games and making new friends?

Game companies have a very small window to hook players, and BW blew it.

  11. In a rare case I am going to White Knight for SWTOR here.....

Are you saying leave one buggy *** game for another? At least I haven't seen speeders flying backwards in SWTOR......

Bugs are frustrating but ultimately won't make me quit a game. Bad endgame, , zero customization, meaningless pvp, and a pattern of knee jerk nerfs will thought.:D

  12. The question is: will swtor go F2P like AoC in an attempt to hold its playerbase (in which case, hello micro transations) OR remain stubborn to the bitter end like SOE and its SWG (this case is even worse: dead servers, empty cities and so on).

Bioware should listen to its players NOW. Story and SW franchise can only hold the playerbase for so long.

With my experience with BW, I think they will stay stubborn to the end. Their stubbornness has led them to this debacle in the 1st place.

The funny thing is that when you cancel they email you a survey asking a good amount of questions pertaining to the F2P model and how it sits with you.

I give the game 6 months before its F2P.

  13. Guys, this ship has already sunk. There is no recourse for this game anymore. If Bioware wasn't publishing a popular license like Star Wars, this game would have had a mass exodus on the level of AoC or SWG, already.

Bioware never intended to get more then box sale out of ppl anyways. They didn't care about pvp, end game content, or customization. This game was doomed from the very start.

I cancelled a month ago. Bioware doesn't deserve anymore money. The only reason I'm even trolling these forums is b/c I relish their demise. I enjoy watching SWTOR's slow death.

Better games are coming out soon. Pick up Skyrim to hold you over and sell your accounts while you can.

  14. When wow came out it was way worse than this after spending the same amount of time in development.

He is a business man. SWTOR is a product, you bought it, if you don't like it, then don't buy it twice lol.

Honestly why so much crying? 70 bucks is a night at the bar. If you sprung for CE that two nights at the bar. Even if you only played a month you got you entertainments worth.

    if you're still mad. Leave.

Its more than 70 bucks in a bar to some of us.

Star Wars is an important sci-fi franchise that we grew up on. You're dealing with major geekdom here.

BW licensed the Star Wars brand and made an MMO, just like Sony did.

A sizable portion of the community enjoy pvp. BW ruined pvp in the only SW franchised MMO currently available.

Star Wars fans are locked out of any chance to play another pvp oriented SW MMO since BW hired simpleton designers.

You think LucasArts is going to license out SW MMO to another company?
