  3. Hey Docmal thanks for your continued work on Parsec it is my guild's preferred poison...... One thing that could make it better is if on the Raid Tab of the stats there was a DtPS next to the DMG In, that way a raid leader can easily evaluate things without having to ask people to relay that number themselves. Also is there a way to easily add misses(Acc) to the parses even if it can't be done in a percentage due to it being a live parse but a Raw number of misses would help when glancing at the DPS stats.
  4. Hello, I was wondering if you stopped developing this parser. The fact that it uses a P2P protocol that could allow a full log access without the uploading to a 3rd party website its quite appealing to me and my group.

  6. I have a question for ya Docmal, why is it that there is a new update almost everyday and every update is almost 40MB, I haven't been able to find a change log either.

Getting flamed for not doing an emergency patch is not about being impatient is more about the fact that this bug broke the game for quite a bit of people and messed up with their(ours) raid schedule. For example my whole raid group will be unable to raid tonight as scheduled because of this, yes we could go and each spent millions to swap shells out but this seems outrageous for just one night. To you one night might not be much to worry about but some of us have limited play time and might only get 1 night a week to play with hard/nim content and BW just screwed that up with a bug that should of never made it out to begin with given the amount of reputation gear this game has. A bug that breaks the game for as many people as this one did deserves an emergency patch.
  8. Maybe due to my RL profession i read too much into "the fine print". The easiest way for the project to stay alive would be to make it open source If he really wants an individual or group he should post what he is looking for rather than leaving it open ended like that and any restrictions that comes with it(assurances that the new person won't make it open source etc etc etc). Don't get me wrong i love tor parse and I am very thankful for it, I think James is a great guy for all the effort he put in it for as long as he did, i am just saying he is doing things the hard way in order for the project to continue.
  9. Unless you are talking to james behind the scenes i don't see how that can be true.. Jjames has always been against making it open source, he hinted that if he found someone with the"Right Skills" and if he "REALLY Likes" him, he "MIGHT" consider passing it along. Given the fact that there are too many Ifs in that statement and that he gave no indication of what his goal/qualification would be for someone to take over, i take it he doesn't want to pass it along but wants to be nice about it instead of just saying hey i am killing it and no i am not letting anyone continue it(which he is within his rights to do so).
  10. Thanks, i should of guessed it. Unlucky? it doesn't even begin to cover it, as someone who has been clearing KP HM weekly religiously since it came out and has yet to see karagga's drop the hat, finally conned enough ppl to do Nim and still didn't drop. End of rant.
  11. Just finished a KP Nim and Karagga's Hat did not drop, if i remember correctly in 1.x they made it so the hat and the mount were a guaranteed drop on Nim mode. Did i miss something ?
  12. taking 4X dmg will modify the max amount you do, not the minimum so that is not an excuse for the discrepancies
  13. Yeah i am seeing a lot of inconsistencies on a lot of people, like looking through several logs of the same fight that have completely different numbers. For example given that your gear never downgrades and that once a boss is in game fight mechanics never change(other than due to bugs) the base(min hit) numbers of Sentinel XXX abilities should always be the same or pretty darn close. Log 1 Sentinel XXX does today Kephess HM(tfb version) His merciless Slash does 1054.69 min dmg (1200 ish DPS over the fight) Log 2 same sentinel ......................................................................................................2156.xx min dmg (red flag)(~3000 DPS) Log 3 still same sentienl .......................................................................................1311.xx min dmg (1500 DPS) given the fact that this sentinel gear is not changing drastically(if any at all almost full 63) abilities min dmg should not change since mechanics have not changed, i can understand that DPS might change due to performance and other issues but min hit of an ability is calculated by a static formula that does not change.

Today browsing through the DPS portion on torparse.com i came across a fellow sentinel who was doing substantially higher dmg than me and i was trying to understand his parse so i can maybe improve my own. I run LI regularly (even 3man it when we are short rather than get a pug) the part where someone said that seems like you were getting double the electric field on LR-5 at the end it just means that you were taking too long to kill him. As far as savrak spitting to multiple target that is just lag related, just like how sometimes it shows everyone right under him but you go flying off to the lava.... or like when it shows him still on the platform but he is actually on a pipe, nothing new or game breaking just the same old bugs that have been for the past several months.
  16. i rarely post but when i saw that claim i also have to ask, Can i also see the logs to these claimed result (1900 single target focus) (2.2+k watchman) would like to see a 300+ sec parse of that. Thanks in advance
  17. Huh? Shadow Tank with 50% crit......i am going to assume he meant surge PS...scratch that anyone with 50% crit is rather hm....crazy and unattainable since D/R start about 30%, or so i thought

As a sage I have been wearing them for a while now, I use the daily comms armoring until I get my hands on the tier 25/26 and even with these gimps mods I still gaining about 70will 80 end 28power 28crit (give or take a point here or there) and only loose 0.90% expertise boost. In my opinion after you hit 1k exp almost anything else is better(as a sage)

Again as a healer i can shine, but as a DPS i only shine over mediocre players(unfortunately this is the majority of people) but once you get someone who is a good player then sage can't keep up with them. example of what i mean would be voidstar last night i do 375k dmg,Belatin(scoundrel) does 736k Kekis(sentinel) 576 Algore(vanguard)5xx, everyone else was way lower than me so compared to those guys i was a rock start, but against the guys above i look nothing like a mediocre player. A sage just can't dish out the dmg that another class can and don't get me started on the healing of sage vs scoundrel. To me DPS sage should be like a Blackmage(nuker) light armor mage that can dish out a crap ton of dmg but dies easily, never have i heard of a game where a tank can do more dmg than a DPS class.

  21. First of all i have been 50 since jan 15th was heavily involved in PvP prior to 1.2(currently rank 80ish), now a days just enough to get my dailies done. I would consider myself a decent Healer as i am always top or second healer in the list(malose always beats me) my gear although not the best yet it is pretty darn good(augmented WH), i have tried every single combination of a spec that i can think of or have found here and struggle to keep up or excel on a DPS role(compared to good DPS). It is not like playing a hydrid DPS sage is hard ( 3 skills rotation and 2 for procs), so it is a lot simpler than watchman sentinels and their 5-6 skills rotation and having to do this while chasing someone. My question is, are any of you DPS sages out there claiming that we are still good in pvp able to keep up or outdps good sentinels(kekis), scoundrels(darn you Belatin)that are good if you are a SS would be nice, if there is something that i am doing wrong, i would like to find out to improve it. Now please don't come in saying that you can do it and blur out some obvious bullsh&t like same posted earlier that said he goes around a box and cast deliverance on himself when being followed by a melee.....the times you can get deliverance out when followed by a mediocre melee are 50%, so anyone above mediocre can stop that 2.x second cast blind folded. Screenshots and explanations of your rotation if you claim to beat/keep up with good sentinels,scoundrel,Vanguards(kekis,belatin,algore) And i am not talking a 1v1 fight just outright out DPS or stay close when fighting against a good team
  22. I can tell you that i am 0/29 and out of those 28 RE 0 have returned a BCA......(after 1.2)
  23. The reason us healers are appreciated and MVPed is because healing teammates it is not "fun" or as gratifying as killing the opposition which is why you see so many DPS specced healers. Playing a healer is like a diabetic person at a bakery, he/she would love nothing more than eat all the deserts(kill on sigh) around but can't due to health, so has to settle for maybe just a small piece(a T.Throw here and there)

Having to put something in it in order to RE it sounds to me like a bug rather than working as intended And about putting them in GTN... i have 40 lv 20 Lightsabers(critted 4/44 attempts) 25 random body/ head/leg slots, that is just myself think of all the other crafters, who the hell is going to buy all that. I don't need the credits i need materials since with 10m+ credits selling something for 1-10k is not going to do anything for me but getting mats back will shorten the time i have to spend running missions to get said mats.
  25. I will ask this again since it seems it was overlooked. Why is it that we can't RE Orange items we crafted? I am not looking to learn a schematic just to get mats back after a failed crit, i have tested this with Artifice and Syntheweaver.
