Why do you all never listen to the majority of people with what they want to see?  We want content like a new Flashpoint, a new Operation .... A NEW CLASS ... A NEW PLAYABLE RACE, A NEW PLANET!  A NEW WARZONE! ... Ranked PVP ... hell 24 man Operations .... anything but a FARM and pie making ... wth is that crap!

I don't want new Flashpoints, new Operations, new Warzone oder any other PvP stuff.

I want more Solo Player Content, a great new expolorable Planet would be fine.

New Daily Areas, a good Gear Progression like 6.0 and more Story-Content. I know that they are not able to bring class-based stories, but fraction-based should be possible.

  2. So what you are saying is that the Run Sellers are the reason inflation is so high because they sell their credits to the credit sellers. So in effect, buying sales runs is the root cause of inflation. And to fight inflation, the solution is to figure out a way to stop sales runs. Intriguing.....

So obvious solution to me would be to flag and trace all large credit transfers, since those would be the ones where someone is buying credits or paying for a run, and ban the accounts involved. I mean a real ban, not a 7 day ban.

A simple solution could also to limit gold transfer from player to player to 100.000 or 1.000.000 credits

  3. The problem is... THEY let EVERYONE gain the "beat gear" .... i.e. "the highest number" in the past (6.0). You can't close the barn door after the horses have got out. "Casuals" (i.e. 95% of the player base) now expect to be able to get the "best/highest number" gear. You cannot change that now in 2022.

I get why NiM raiders tell people they don't need the gear.... but they come off as entitled ___holes. Why does it bother them everyone can get the "best/highest number" gear. There's a big difference in saying you don't need it and whining about you wanting it. It's like getting mad you work 60 hours a week to get the greatest sportscar in the word while someone else only works 20... or worse yet, it is given to them by their parents. Don't be jealous. Be happy that someone else is happy. That's the problem with the world. We worry too much about other people rather than our own happiness.

So I ask the NiM raiders.... what is it hurting YOU that someone else has 340 gear? How do you feel wronged?

I understand it works both ways. "Casuals" shouldn't whine about not being able to get the "best/highest number" gear but... again.. I blame BW on this one. In 2022, you cannot take things away from people that have had and not expect backlash.

You are absolutly right. A loud crying minority of NIM raiders whined over months that they could show there elitistic behavour when everyone has the best gear. It's a shame that the devs had nothing better to then catering this needless minority. I'm sure they lost more subs than they got from a handful of returning NIM raiders,

  4. 7.1 is a bad continuation of this crap 7.0 Update.

I don't care about the new OP - waste of ressources.

The daily area is only accessable when doing before the buggy and disapointing Flashpoint with Malgus.

The gearing also not rolled back to 6,x

In summary: forget 7.1 it's the same b....t than 7.0

  5. Nah OP obviously wanted to respond to the recent thread created by devs but for some (un)reason decided to create a new thread rather than respond to the existing one, like everybody else. Some ppl just need to feel special or something.

Sorry - i wrote the dev tracker and missed the sticky here in the forum.

  6. I say a great thank you to Caitlin Sullivan Kelly, Alan Copeland, George Smith, Ashley Ruhl and Eric Musco for your post in the developers tracker.

It's a long time that the DevTeam writes to the community and I could say I missed a constructive discussion with you. It's fine that you share our love for that game and I hope this will not be a single post but the beginning of discussions and sharing idea's between the DevTeam and the community.

I lost in the last month my hope for the future of the game, but now there will be "A new hope" that things are changing.

Thank you for that and I hope we will hear from you in near future.

  7. ...

I don't know why someone that only does story stays subbed, there is no reason to. As long as those people stay subbed you are actively working against getting more and better story content.

I don't know why people that raid stays subbed - running ever and ever the same dungeons/OPs for what?

Gear which would be worthless with the nexr expansio? - stupid in my opinion.

May be someone thinks gearing would be a worth to play a game, than I know better games which have more Operations with more Bosses and new OPs on a regular base (minimum 1 Raid with 8+ bosses per year)

  8. Nono, you misunderstand - of course we do the story too, the problem is that if you played the game for as long as we have there isn't actually anything we haven't yet done. Story is great for some time, but... even that is not what makes you sub, it's the attachment you have made during story that is - this doesn't need updates, in 4.0 when there was no content and only story the game almost died and it was in it's worst state ever, do you really want that to happen again? I sure don't.

OPs are no content - content is störy, events, Questline.

OPs are a repetive feature for a group which is smaller and smaller as the difficulty increase. NIM Raiders are an absolut minority.

In better times my actual guild had more than 100 active accounts - we had 3 aktive SM/HC raid groups but we had only 6 or 7 NIM raiders so tht the NIM group always need Players from friend guilds for a complete group.

  9. ...

They can't produce story in the time it takes you to consume it, if they would only do story people would unsub after it's done. OPs and PvP are the endgame, they are what keeps players here, story is just what gets you hooked and attached to your characters. It's not a viable business model to only produce story content.

Just because not all players WANT to do the new content, aka ops instead of story, doesn't mean you get less for your money - you just choose not to do it. That is why we don't get an operation on release. PvP is in preseason for almost half a year now. How are story players the ones complaining when they already got their content? What did you expect? 12 hours of story? I honestly don't understand why some people are subbed, espeically those that only do story. It's just a bad deal.

It's true, noone could produce story faster then it is consumed, but you could deliver story in an constant way like KotFE. Every month a small chapter of story will bring the customer to stayed subbed.

I strongly disagree to the statement "OPs and PvP are the endgame, they are what keeps players here" - raiders are in allgames a loud crying minority thinking they are navel of the world. I know many players which don't play OPs and stay subbed for story, events, galactic season etc.

In the current state where the so-called dev Team is not able to deliver anything I think they should not fokus on a minority and put all there ressources to support them. In my opinion it is easier to deliver story on a regular base then develop and test an OP in SM/HM/NIM.

  10. A lot of people seem to forget that there is a lot more to this game than just 'seasons' or 'endgame'. Sure, if you've been around forever, you've done most of the stuff and want something 'new' or 'more'. But consider those who are new to the game and are just working on their class story etc. They have lots and lots of stuff to do before they even get to 'endgame'.

What players are new to this game?

Which new player will subscribe to a dead game with a incompetent and lazy dev team ?

If I were a new player I never would subscribe to a game managed by persons who announce a year long celebration and than deliver nothing.

  11. Season 2 has ended and Season 3 is not in foreseeable future, why exactly should we stay subscribed and continue to support you? For new content? But where is the new content?

You still haven't even released the whole expansion yet. Manaan daily area and new operation that were planned to be released for the 10th anniversary (December 2021) and later postponed for soon afterwards are still missing. That's already 8 months past schedule.

And where is the loads of content promised us to be delivered during the year 2022? New FP, new locations, more story, PvP revamp, Master mode R-4, Galactic Season 3, tech modernization, visual improvements and more?

“…why celebrate on one day when you can have fun the entire year?” -Keith Kanneg, July 2021

    So, where is the fun?

Good question - i don't know. It's a shame that the dev team is still to lazy to give us a date when season 3 will start. If season 3 will ever start, my fear is that this so-called dev team will never ever anything release more.

  12. You know one day they will close SWTOR...and with rumors of a new Star Wars MMO in development..it may be sooner than any of us think.

I bet that the usual suspects who cry and ***** about everything will then go on a crusade to let everyone know how wonderful SWTOR was.

They did it with SWG..they will do it with this game too.

SWTOR was a wonderful game - the class stories were a highlight, but after that they were not able to hold this niveau.

No further development of the class stories, but there were some other good parts Makeb, the Revan storyline, KotFE and KotET - but after this there were nothing more.

The downfalls startet with the idiotic end of KotET, they skipped the original planned third part and from that moment everyone could see that there was an unwilling, uninspired and incompetent group of people who doesn't care about the game and the base of there players - Story and solo players.

And 7.0 is the last nail in the coffin.

R.I.P my beloved Star Wars game

  13. From this dev team? No.

My words - before 7.0 I where willing to pay 40 to 50 bucks for an expansion like in other games (WoW, TESO, etc.)

But now with these garbage delivered for a 10 year celebration - no cent.

And please don't call them a dev Team, this is an insult to all real and engaged development and designer teams.

  14. I agree, but I don't see the difference to 6.X, there was a long content drought after Onslaught, why didn't people quit back then? There was never any content besides from NM ops and ranked, in all other gamemodes you lose your progress and with each expansion your old gear gets trashed, but that is the way it is. If you can't walk towards a goal you will stop moving and realize it's all for nothing. That happened because renown was removed, no renown is the reason people quit but they themselves don't realize that and think it's class changes.

Class changes were needed, all classes felt the same - ling and arsenal was literally the same spec. Now... balance changes were not very balanced, but the idea itself is great.

I agree, removing renown took away a great part of my motivation, even I didn't get a Character to level 999.

The other great demotivation comes from the gear changes with 7.0 and the removal of the amlifier.

There is no more hope for this game, because a new OP didn´'t bring back the motivation for playing for the mayority of players and it also is nothing to attract new players.

The only thing that would help (but which would never happen) where a great new story arc with an back story that last over a longer time (like the Revan / empororer story arc) and with a good marketing campaign advertising this story.

  15. Bioware, just ignore those "Im gonna unsub in one week" whiners. They will not do that. Take your time and keep working on the game. Thanks

LoL - working on the game. You mean take away fun und implement bugs.

You could give them every time, they will nothing deliver.

  16. Hi everyone,

I have a few things to share with you about 7.1!

    ...

All that said, we can confirm that 7.1 is targeted for mid-summer!

    ...

    Jackie

    Serious??

A 10 year celebration and you delivered nearly nothing until now. Why doesn't you priorize the Manaan Daily area to bring it live as soon as possible and postpone this new OP?

If you are not able to deliver this little bit of content in one piece, why not step by step?

First the Daily area, then the SM mode, then HM and then if at all the Nim-Mode?

  17. it's an MMO expect to do group battle stuff with story.

MMO means Massive Multiplayer Online - it is not a law of nature to build groups and raids. It only says that many players are playing in the same environment. It could also be done with players all together fighting a world boss without being in a fixed group.

Also many RP players play together in a locations without in groups or raids.

There are many ways to play in a MMO - a good game design is when all mayor groups of player types are satisfied and the content is not designed only for a minor group of hardcore FP players or Raiders.

  18. Wondering what people think here. When you dig into a lot of the complaints that folks have here and in game it seems to boil down to lack of things to do end game. Do you think that the SWTOR team should step back from cinematic and story for a short time and put some time into more robust endgame areas?

If not that, then what do you want to see changed about lvl 80 activities?

This game definitly needs no more operations or similar content. What this game need is more story because story was and is the the strength of SWTOR.

May be it needs new ideas to bring more story-based endgame content, may be the Max-Level should be fixed and an alternativ system like the champion levels as in TESO should be introduced.

There could be group activities not based on fixed FP- or raid groups but based on groups performing different tasks for a long-term lasting goal. For example: on a planet should become a new base for on of the sides. First there are exploration missions, crafting missions for special goals. Later there are missions for building the base. Then - o what a wonder there are also groups from the opposite side and for pvp-liking players a new PvP-zone comes where both sides struggle against ressources.

  19. ...

In reading yours and other's feedback, there are a lot of feature asks that go beyond an MVP solution to enabling custom weapons to be skinned in outfitter. While I would like to see everything being suggested, we need to be realistic about agile development along with prioritizing budget and capacity.

Hey, I'm a full paying subscriber, I expect a fully funtional product and not a f***ing MVP. If they only able to deliver a MVP garbage then they should increase their monthly fee until they are able to deliver a high quylity product.

  20. Then just switch the saber? Even if you'd care enough to do that it would still be faster AND less expensive than in 6.0, now stop clowning on the system everyone wanted.

Stop whiteknighing and lying - you are not speaking for everyone and not everyone wanted this crap combat styles.

The old system worked fine for nearly 10 years, and none of my guild mates or other playerfriends ever requested combat styles,

  21. Omg you are totally correct. with only 10 mil players and 100k per day the game is dead.

    RANK

    18

Star Wars: The Old Republic is ranked #18 out of 134 tracked MMOs in terms of player and aggregate server population.

    TOTAL PLAYERS

    10.82M

Star Wars: The Old Republic is estimated to have 10,820,443 total players or subscribers.

    DAILY PLAYERS

    102.79K

Star Wars: The Old Republic is estimated to have 102,794 players per day this month.

I don't believe this data. When I see that on prime time there is only 1 instance on the fleet with less than 100 players and on any planet I jump (tattoine, alderaan, couscant, Nar shadaa) there are also only 1 instance in most cases with less than 50 players then I don't know on which base they came to that data.

And there are no official data from BW oder EA - so everything what they calculate is a view in a crystal ball. My experience is there are much less players than with 6.2 even if I take in account how many guild mates haven't logges in for months. From 4 raid groups in 6.1 and 6.2 not even one is left, most times we are not enough for a flashpoint.

  22. Yeah? Duh, they are trying to revive the gamemode. Of course they will give it preferable rewards.

It's the same as in other parts of the game. Some "special guys" whining load for nerfs, so that every part of the game is the same reward less timesink and only some "elitists" get reward and fun.

I hope they change nothing to GSF and instead increase rewards and Gear upgrads in all other parts (unranked PvP, heroic missions, weekly missions etc.
