I just experienced the exact same thing... I'm gonna drop the quest for now and check back here for updates

I'm sure the person in question was grateful for your help... but calling them strange because they didn't automatically know what you knew? seems a little judgemental

So let me get this straight... The Devs can't figure out how to limit spam while giving us important features... such as a mailing list and/or guild mail. And they don't want players to use 3rd party tools to accomplish our reasonable in-game goals I believe The Devs are competent computer programmers, I'm sure they're capable of giving us the features we've been asking for since day 1... they just don't seem to care to pay attention to their community. And they haven't managed to stop spam anyway It is unfortunate, but this game lacks features that are available in many other games... the reasons I stay with this game are steadily being outweighed by the drawback of not being able to own my experience in the game.

There's default behavior and there's modified behavior. When something deviates from the norm, it is only right that it be noted... ie: it should be noted that just because you're assumed to have mastered your profession, you will not be able to display a title to that effect. heck, in a way you're being penalized for giving them extra money. To simply say that the normal behavior can't be counted on unless specifically stated, is poor practice. I mean, what else can we not count on? Just food for thought.

There's a difference between titles for factional interactions and titles for class proficiency. If I pay for a level 60 toon, it IS a Jedi, Master, Battlemaster, etc... but I didn't do anything to earn a heroic status with Tython. So you're only half right. BW should give class proficiency titles and allow the toon to go back and do the side tasks so that they can earn the extra or side work titles... if that's not too taxing on the developers that is.
