  1. What the? Where the hell have you been, a watchman is often (if not always) used in hardcore operations guild group over a guardian because they have more survivability... How the heck are you ''lacking defensive staying power'' I just dont get it. Try not to stand in the fire. Now about the use of this talent: IT IS AN EXTREMLY GOOD TALENT IN PVE OPERATIONS AS IT GIVES A CHANCE TO YOUR HEALER TO HEAL YOU OR GIVE THEM THE CHANCE TO NOT HEAL YOU BECAUSE OF THE STEP YOU TOOK TO GET INTO THE AOE. What help an healer and doesnt gimp your dps is A MUST IN PVE RAIDING. Beside.. the other talent is ****. temperance is situational and work only when there is alot of adds to get a good efficiency, focused leap is not bad but SUCK if not combined with the reduced range of leap which should not be taken over the other talent in that tier of Watchman. Therefore, the 2 talents that are a must is first steadfast because you don't want to MISS ANYTHING (it help you get the hit cap easily and allow you to get other stats like SURGE and CRIT) and then 2 points in defensive roll.
  2. Its like in WoW anyway, except republic is the horde and empire is the alliance.. Alliance: have terrain advantage (or had) in AV Empire: have advantage in pvp with lots of imbalance between mirror AND the turrets ticks faster in CIVIL WAR.. Republic: prozzzzzzzz (with lots of Z)

  4. I wreck PVP and PVE with watchman.. Focus is good for PVP but I find it lacking somehow and it is horrible in pve (as in BAD). Didnt try combat yet so I can't tell but to be honest I dish out a good amount of damage as watchman, often top WZs damage done/kills as a single target damage dealer and can solo almost anything in PVE (out of the group content of course.. maybe some champions tho ) To be honest: Play what you feel is the best for you, what fit your style. That is the only way to go!
  5. Oh yeah sure, I see the whole picture of the post. I was just particularly pointing that part. Yet again I'll say that I agree with the OP... To be a good sentinel you need to be a professional concerto piano player! It is indeed frustrating when you see a BH using only his ''empire side'' rav round or whatever rocket it is all the time and spamming it while I use all of my 4 action bars... Opportune strike and pommel should just be one ability, our ''Mortal Strike'' should have the effect of both the healing reduction and the slow from Leg slash (I mean damn give us some love lol but yeah that could turn to be Overpower). We need a good stun or 2 like I said and LONGER DURATION FOR WATCHMAN MERCILESS SLASH COOLDOWN REDUCTION BUFF because it is impossible to keep in PVP and hard to maintain in PVE to be honest. Anyway, there are so many tweaking we could use and I hope we'll see some changes in the future. May the force be with us!
  6. NO TO ANYTHING CROSS SERVER IMO and to dongeon finder which make you stand in a spot and wait for the queue, making it look like a grind/farm instance fest. Get real. That is one of the thing that kill a SERVER COMMUNITY. STOP ASKING FOR THOSE KIND OF THINGS. It's funnier when you see the same people in your WZs and have a grudge against when you were doing World-pvp or similar situation where you interact with people of YOUR SERVER. STOP ASKING FOR THOSE KIND OF THINGS. IT KILL A SERVER COMMUNITY. Damn...when do people will understand that it did MORE DAMAGE TO WoW THAN EXPECTED! **** REMOVE THOSE FROM THE LIST **** /rant

  8. We do have a problem, but I must say I do 200-290K often in watchman spec without a pocket healer.... Therefore I think at this point it is a matter of skills (or luck maybe). We need a good stun or two to be honest : /
  9. Oh yeah? Aoe 6 second stun? weird I don't have that on my sentinel 50. But i do have a 6 second INCAPACITATE that break on dots which is the key feature of my spec watchman. oh wait.. isnt it.. contradictory?...... We're the only class without a stun : NO FORCE FIELD ISNT A STUN (technically yes but it stun us too FAR FROM GOOD) Get real.
  10. trolls... there are too many CCs. Play a sent and we'll see how you feel. Or else give the sent: a force pull that immobilize, a second stun, a 4 sec stun and we'll see who's crying for a damn broken pvp system.... However... the problem is with RESOLVE and ALSO the duration of all the stuns. To be honest in pvp WZs you get stunned for 6 second, get backstabbed to 50% if not 35% hp, get stunned again and if you dont use your trinket (resolute for sentinel) you die but the resolve bar isnt filled up and you get stunned/knock back'd away, ending up dying if you dont have your defensive cooldowns that you have to pop. And lets say those have a ''huge ability queuing/delay problem and often dont want to go off''. Get real, resolve need to reduce the duration of the next STUN from the FIRST APPLICATION just like the diminishing return in WoW. Otherwise it just kill the fun (not all the time tho) for some players. No I dont suck at pvp I never lost a duel (done **** tons) and I top WZs with damage/medal often. So yeah play a sent and tell me you dont ''SIGH'' when you get stunned for 16 second to death or tossed around because of 3 push backs.
  11. To be honest, if you lose against ANYBODY in pvp (except a marauder or sentinel in a duel) YOU ARE BAD.... 1. I've never lost a duel (both against republic and against sith while win trading in Ilum) 2. We may not be a faceroll class but the best 1v1 in the game atm. 3. Refer to number 1 and 2.

Oh yeah, ''in the reality sense'' a lightsaber cut the same weither you use more ''power'' with your right hand than your left hand.. its not the ''force'' gained through the speed you've applied to the weapon that matter in the lightsaber case, it's the god damn LASER and you could hit slow as hell it should/would do the same damage. Failed logic is fail. The devs said we should get 5% more damage than other classes as we are pure DPS... I dish out alot of dps I presume, top WZs damage often (watchman tree) and wreck mobs in PVE but I doubt we do that 5% more DPS. Why is it that my ''POMMEL STRIKE'' hit harder than my LASER from my LIGHTSABER? Talking about ''the reality sense'' this is comepletly non sense. Don't give us that ********. Sentinels need: 2 HARD CC or 1 to be on par with other classes. As it is force stasis stun us as we stun the enemy not like the guardians that can spec it and be able to do something else while applying it. Awe is a Jedi Knight (guardian and sent) ability that act like a 6 second ''repentance'' like paladins in WoW but AOE... easily break as we put dots on target in 1v1 and in group pvp AOE are common... If you ever did PVP, and know *** to do, because I know and the sheet of the WZs do tell it too, well you'll or should agree with me that ''WE'' sentinel and marauders get tossed around as much as the Huttball due to pushbacks and we get stunned for 10 to 12 second before our ''RESOLVE'' bar that make us immune to stun when full, is actually full. Let me tell you that a 12 second in pvp mean DEATH. Trick is if we dont have resolute we're dead unless we succeed to pop our defensive cooldown and if resolute is off cooldown we have to use it on the second stun... The main problem isnt the stun as they are it's the DURATION and they should either reduce the duration of those HARD CC that everyone except us got or make the ''resolve'' thing act less like WAR and more like WoW's diminishing return on stuns. TL;DR This game isnt melee friendly, you have to thrive to be at the top as a melee and even more as a sentinel.
  13. There are **** loads of quest in SWTOR with choices... heck with my Sentinel I couldnt count them all there is too many of those... Get real your argument fell in weight right when you said that.
