  1. In the Manaan Stronghold, its pretty much worthless to place, its partially hidden and you can't see through the windows well enough to enjoy it, its a sort of bathroom glass. Clear windows like the Dromnund Kaas Stronghold would be better, with so much of the Manaan stronghold being outside... In the the Rishi Stronghold, there is a pretty good place to put it in the ocean. And when you first place it there, its perfectly visible from the beach and it looks great. But the next time you come to the strong hold, it fails to render - as if the rendering distance is too far! If you pick it up and place it again, it will render again, until you leave and return and won't render the planets anymore. The simple solution would be to bring the ship sized hook a little bit closer in! Its really very far out. Yes, you *can* put it on the beach, but then it completely takes over your beach - its much better off the coast...
  2. There are FP's that I just don't use, because I'd have to run to the area I'd actually care to use. If EA turned that object into a placeable object, they could sell it on the cartel market and make player strongholds a lot more flexible for player's preferences...
  3. I had a lot of characters between 70 and 75 to level up to 80, without any new story line available. So obviously, FPs are the least annoying way to do it - in combination with the related weekly quests for queuing for 3 random FP's in Group Finder, with the "Weekly Flashpoints and the "Looking for allies" missions. (my FP list is 28/28 FP's) Sometimes, I get credit for the weekly quests, many times I don't. I've sometimes done 10 random Veteran FP's in a row without ever getting any credit for the weekly quest. Support told me to file a bug ticket, "because we have no powers to fix anything". Does anyone have any insight into this issue? I can't possibly be the only one?
  4. Assault on Tython would only be available to Empire characters, while the Korriban invasion would only be available to Republic characters. So your list should always only be 28/28, no?
  5. Hard to imagine Bioware hasn't taken care of making emotes convenient after so many years! Few people use few emotes - if they were convenient and easy to chain, they might sell a lot more!
  6. You don't get a companion on this fight! Otherwise, it would be no problem. But Heskal has endless interrupts and stuns - as gunslinger, you can only really do stuff when you're in "Take Cover" with "hunker down" activated. Shooting / killing the apparitions restores a little bit of your health, so that's definitely a priority. But I just can't get through this on my gunslinger. On my Assassin, I had no problems. But trying it on my Gunslinger has wasted over 5 hours of my time now...
  7. Frankly, this "expansion" seems like all old content barely warmed over. Beyond that, the character and other windows you interact with are pretty broken: You can't even try a dye from the cartel store on your companion among many other issues. Some of my characters had all their abilities missing and many other annoyances. But the worst is really that I haven't seen anything new... Also, Vette, which I had successfully reclaimed after she died - my one '50' character has been removed as dead with this so-called expansion. So to put a top on this, there is no obvious way to unsubscribe... Can anyone point me to the subscription exit, please?
  8. Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! I was doing group content with my usual list of unchecked FPs, since I prefer avoiding annoying, lengthy or failure prone FPs over getting a daily reward So that explains why nothing was showing up in achievements...
  9. Or do you need to earn her on every character you want her for? Also, I did 3 flashpoint quests through group finder, but there wasn't any notification of the mentioned achievement nor having earned Darth Hex...
  10. It is now October 18th, 2017 In spite of numerous patches since the first reports, there has been no fix! Bioglare, do you EVER consider fixing content that once worked, until one of your patches broke it? I've put a LOT of effort into Star Fortresses on multiple characters and I'm still without bracers, not to mention that a few decorations would be nice for all the effort! This content was more enjoyable than some of your other content, but with zero rewards, it doesn't really work. Would be nice to see it fixed and added to the group finder options!
  11. Just to avoid people thinking I might be confusing things: I'm strictly and only talking about purple mods and enhancements with 246 rating named "something mod 54" and "something enhancement 54", which dropped inside command crates in the following two ways: - mods and enhancements were installed in a piece of armor - just a lose mod or enhancement was in the box : : My Cybertech is 600 on lvl 70 character : : I've been able to reverse engineer purple Mods and enhancements of the 240 (51) variety without issue. : : I know other people have been able to reverse engineer the 246 rated items, since crafted ones are on GTN. : : I've been told that specifically and only the items dropping from command crates can be reverse engineered. Is it bugged since some recent patch or is there some way to make it work? Any advice would be appreciated.
  12. Thank you very much for the detailed info!! As for drinks - alcohol is a terribly unhealthy and at the same time a boring and fruitless drug... Probably the reason its legal. Corporations prefer if you don't live past pension age. Paying people while they're not working is just abhorrent to their share holders, the banks. Ideally, they want to take that little house you've been paying off for your family in trade for some equally fruitless chemo-therapy, before you drop into your coffin. That's why your water has anorganic minerals in it and fluoride, your food msg and high-fructose corn-sirup, where you can't taste the obscene amount of sugar in your TV dinner etc. People don't naturally get cancer, they have to be sold the wrong food and toxic cosmetics for decades, cause that pesky human body is so damned resilient.
  13. So far, I found I can only reverse engineer purple 230 (46) and 240 (51) mods - Any blue mods have "no research available" - Any mods with 232, 234, 236, 242, 244 or 248 rating could not be reverse engineered. - I have NEVER seen ANY 246 item drop, only yellow 242, blue 244 or yellow 248... So how did YOU get your 246 (54) rated "something something 54" recipes? . Aside from that, isn't this new, extremely narrow stepping of 228, 230, 232, 234, 236, 242, 244, 246, 248 just eyewash? Certainly seems like putting too fine a point on it.... Another case of Bioglare making you squint... Too much fluoride in their drinking water?
  14. I think EA prefers you buy "maintenance" gifts in the cartel market and therefore keeps them difficult to obtain by ordinary means...
  15. I'm still waiting for my Zakuul stronghold...! And here, EA wants to shaft me off to Manaan and Umbara instead? ewww... Zakuul stronghold please, with easy access to MY throne!
  16. Its a good point. But an even more important point is this: The RNG gearing system is all about the game exploiting the player not the other way around; using the old 'random reward schedule' psychology trick, to get you addicted to doing this nonsensical grind for way longer than it would be fun. Did you sign up for an MMO or for a casino, really? My recommendation: go to the beach, worship the sun or anything but falling for this gross waste of your time.
  17. Ok, lets forget about 'convenient' for the moment: How about ANY way to get to one's own throne? I can't even get a Stronghold on Zakuul, what's up with that? There's not even a way to quick-travel to Zakuul available from your Legacy screen. The teleport to your "homeworld" is still going to Dromund Kaas, no joke!
  18. Rather than just 'alright' like prior chapters, I thought this was very well done and great fun. Yet I'm cancelling both mine and my wife's subscription in spite of the new story line having been well told and fun to play. why? Simple: RNG gearing is completely unacceptable. I don't go to places like Vegas for a reason: waiting for dumb luck bores me to death. Much prefer game mechanics designed for intelligent people. Most of my guild has just gone as well and the few that are left had to make a new website, cause they apparently were so sure about not coming back, they dismantled the website that had been up since the game's release, with a great raid calendar, through all the ups and downs so far. So farewell folks, it was fun until hapless hacks came to rule the game mechanics department. My hope is, they won't find enough people stupid enough to stoop to this system and they'll have to revert to something that provides a reasonable level of self determination.
  19. - I'd also avoid the one that spawns the aparitions, cause killing them eats too much time and running all over increases your risk at getting kicked to a broken window. - using a tank makes it pretty easy, if slow and boring, but I found out the hard way not to use a melee companion for heals: I had already leveled Jaeesa to 50 influence, only to find that her trying to melee the Exarch whilst healing would get her killed in less than a minute. - getting Vette to 50 influence and having her heal instead worked out perfectly - she stays somewhere in the distance and if she ever gets hit, its a one-off, she can survive. - if you tank in 220 gear, your health never drops much at all, to the point where you can just stand with your back to the Exarch's door and soak up whatever you can't interrupt. - After figuring out the details as a tank, I was able to do it on my Assassin in 216 gear also. - If you're awesome and have no lag, you could probably do it on 192 or 208 gear, but the game makes it so easy to get a 216 set, even with zero raiding, I'd have to wonder what you're doing with your time in SWTOR... Now if only the Bracer drop hadn't been (inadvertently) disabled by Bioware's 4.0 patch - as stated in 2 bug reports...
  20. No response from Bioware yet? AFAIK, its still broken. Been Paladin-killing for a week non-stop and nothing.
  21. I mean, even if I got disconnected for a whole day, week or month, there's no reason to throw away 8GB due to no connection. It sits on the hard drive, can be re-verified for errors and then resumed.
  22. Can you please copy from Blizzard how a downloader is properly written and fail proofed? I had downloaded 8GB of the patch already, down to 600 MB left. Then comes the nightly IP reset of my ISP and what do I see next? "Error retrieving patch, please check the network connection" So one 15 second drop of the connection suffices to throw away 8 GB...? Is there a torrent for this patch, where I can be sure it won't hick-up at random and eat my bandwidth and time for nothing? And get a programmer that knows how to write a downloader! Internet interruptions are not a new phenomenon and any downloader worth his salt has absolutely ZERO issues with resuming, even hundreds of times if necessary. "Come back and join us for Bioware downloading ...err uhh, story telling" What a dog's breakfast
  23. I think 3 days won't do it, but sound advice otherwise Harvesting mats to sell while doing those quests will help too, obviously. On the two servers I have toons on, that sword is up to 9-10 million...
  24. Exactly this is the issue I find with it. Gambling and lotteries should not be available to minors and not to anyone without following the legal restrictions that normally apply.
