  1. Players also don't seem to understand that valuable mods can be pulled out of gear you can't use and put into gear you can. For instance, as a sentinel, I needed on heavy armor that was full of strength mods. Now, I can't put on the heavy armor but I can very much put those mods in my medium armor and make it just as good for me. So what's the difference? I had a tank ***** at me for doing it but so what? He's a tank! He doesn't need strength! I do! He needed on it too it just happened that I won the roll and he got his panties in a bunch. I needed it so I needed it. It's become overly clear that group missions are full of spoiled brats that can't stand not getting what they want EVERY time. If I lose a roll I don't give it a second thought. Not once have I ever *****ed at another player over need/greed and I started playing a week after the game came out. Bottom line is this: if the gear/mods are better than what I have then I'm gonna need. We have the options for a reason. ***** all you want.
  2. Yeah. That's not happening. If its a better piece then I'm gonna need it every time. Like I said, how do I know they aren't being greedy? What if its a class piece that's worse for me? I can take it though i don't need it and everyone is cool with it just because its in my class and they do t know any better? Needing only to class is stupid and I REFUSE to do it. If its that big of a deal to that many players then they need to ONLY let DPS "need" on strength, only commandos on aim, etc. If rolled items only had one stat then I could understand your view but these items have MANY stats. Sometimes those many other stats make that item way better than the one you have. We are allowed to roll for a reason and I'm going to use it. Likewise, you have your kick vote and I leave a group immediately that knit picks about this stuff. I'm up front about my views before every group mission.
  3. I think a happy medium could be a 2 win limit on needed wins. What I mean us that if you pick "need" and win that piece you wanted and do it a second time and win then you are black listed from "needing" anything for the rest of the group mission. If you win two good pieces in one mission and are still needing things then you really are being greedy. A two win limit would make those "need" clicks a lot more precious and players would start using them a bit more sparingly. Now, I understand people not wanting other players to need for companions but my personal gripe about current players are the ones that ***** about needing for items that don't fit perfectly into my exact class specs even though its WAY better than my currently equipped piece. As a commando, do you REALLY expect me to pass up +150 armour and power just because the item has strength for your dps? You're out of your mind! How do I know it DOESNT have more strength than YOUR current piece and YOURE the one being greedy? Exactly. I'm gonna need on that EVERY time and I would expect all other players to do the same. EVEN if that piece fits MY class better. Otherwise, what's the point of rolling? Mine as well just have the game automatically give out the gear on pre set class rules. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on need vs greed. 2 win limit and stop ************.
  4. I have no problem with achievements as long as there is a decent reward system for them. I do NOT want it to be like Xbox achievements which are completely and utterly useless. Xbox achievements are just there. You don't actually get anything from that past the initial "Hey look, I got an achievement". End of Xbox achievement reward. Like any RPG, PC or console, if I am grinding away at a quest, flashpoint, achievement, etc., I want to be rewarded for it with something I can use in the game. Even if its just something "cool" like a social graphic or companion customization instead of actually "useful" like more powerful weapons or armor. Being rewarded for stuff yes. Otherwise, the developers are simply playing on all our almost certainly pre-existing OCD drive that got us into RPGs in the first place.
  5. I agree! I love the new achievement system but I REALLY hope they attach some cool rewards along the way. For instance, when I kill 1000 enemies with a certain companion I should get a free customization kit or something. Or as the achievement points add up they can be turned in to a vendor for gear! It would make achieving them much more fun!
  6. Does anyone know a good reason to use this force power, ever? It seems completely pointless. It does no damage and heals creatures I put into the air but I can't use it on my companion. Why would I want to heal enemies I'm fighting? And it only stuns them for 8 seconds...but I already have Force Stun if I just want to do that. Then as soon as I use another ability on them it stops the lift. There are 3 levels of upgrades in my ability tree but for the life of me I really don't understand the use of this power what so ever.
