  1. When I look at ESO and FFXIV, knowing they are better games that I could be playing, then go, "but Star Wars." This game has touches of love all through it. It's too bad it got tossed aside like a dirty rag when it didn't 'beat WoW' year 1.
  2. 8 medals isn't nearly as easy in GSF as it is in PvP. So that's not equal, at all. Also MM FP aren't that hard, just uncheck the longer difficult FPs, or hell just do Hammer Station 4 times if you must. It's all a matter of opinion though, isn't it? For me MM FP and PvP is easy, GSF is annoying, and I raid 5 days a week so the Operation one is also easy. 3 weeks of any of these things is just bad overall. lolz the RNG ... smh
  3. new drinking game drink everytime someone complains about GSF on Ossus Trashed in 30 minutes Seriously though, *** devs, stop forcing content. Learn how to make players happy.
  4. I reported this bug ingame as well. Conquest points and objectives have been reset on my entire account. I hit the conquest goal on one of my characters at 12:35pm est today. This is confirmed in our guild log. When I logged in later today, all non-repeatable conquest goals (world bosses/dark project) had been reset and all characters points set back to zero.
  5. This is also being abused by some players.
  6. Like this necro? Returning player. Glad for this thread. It's been literal years and they still haven't changed the wording from 'Heroic' to 'Veteran'. Solo mode should just be removed from the choices really. It's a waste of time.
  7. Go to your quest inventory. He's there.
  8. Thanks for the responses. Definitely good to know about the healing/tanking thing. I will adjust accordingly.
  9. I recently returned, resubbed after about 5 years. I've spent the last few weeks sorting through my old characters, doing some story continuation, creating a couple freshies, etc. Just getting back into the swing of things. I've been playing solo mostly, but I have ventured into a couple group Flashpoints in an attempt at story continuity. It hasn't gone the best. I came to understand (sort of) that I maybe shouldn't bother with any Veteran flashpoints until 60/65 regardless of where they and my character are in the story. Ooookay, fine. Anyway, one flashpoint we were all kind of bad (I think). Two of the people kicked out the third for aggroing before ready. (I argue that as a group we were never ready). We got through it and even though I designated myself as DPS, I found myself healing a lot because Operative and no one else seemed to be healing? The 2nd experience was just terrible. There was 2 'legendary' characters, someone who seemed to be a new 70, and me. The 2 legendary characters speed through the flashpoint, leaving me (no rocket boots yet, didn't know it was a thing) and this other guy behind. Repeatedly. They apparently snuck through a bunch of stuff and we were supposed to keep up, but they never spoke in chat. When me and new 70 guy died a couple times in attempt to catch up, they finally ask, 'what's going on'. When I explain we're behind, they just go 'fine, we'll fight.' Again, no healing, also no apparent tanking, and I designated DPS when I joined group finder. I know it was a long premise, I feel wordy but here are the questions. 1. Is there actually any designated healer/tanks for Veteran Flashpoints? Or just wing your own heals regardless of your spec? 2. Is it an expectation that one must have rocket boots ++ to do them? 3. Is level 60/65 really the expectation, therefore an expectation to do away with continuity? 4. Has the community overall reached a point that they do not care to engage new/returning players in a positive way? Or do they just want to grind out their **** with an attitude of keep up or screw off? 5. Is the answer to all of this simply to join a guild? Probably Overall, I'm just trying to get a feel for how things actually are, and how I should approach the game. I wasn't quite ready to commit to a guild and I'm generally a fan of group finders in MMOs. Are veteran players just jaded and selfish, not recalling how it was to be new or behind in content? Was that terrible flashpoint experience the norm or the exception?
  10. What hasn't been addressed here is log overload during the leveling process either. There are still returning and new players that want to catch them all along the way. I returned after 5 years recently and when I hit Hoth (I believe) I had to start abandoning things left and right because I'd gone around and picked up a bunch of random stuff along the way. Flashpoints, dailies, quests for things I had a level for but wasn't to that point in the story yet. And yes, 5 more slots would've covered it. Sure, I can go pick these things up again, and it wasn't a huge problem to sort through the log and pinpoint what was 'important' to me at that point, but when I hit that cap, I definitely had an 'UGH' reaction. And it's been 25 since beta. You'd think after 8 years they'd have increased it.
  11. If you're not getting schematics from Investigation missions, you're likely not critting on them. Make sure that you have high companion affection with the companions you're running Investigation missions with. With 400 Investigation and maxed affection with my companions, I get schematics fairly consistently when running missions. The downside is that it seems like I get the same few schematics for each level range repeatedly. The schematics cover Biochem implants, Armstech, Synthweaving, and Armormech. Gift up your companions!
  12. The response I got from customer service to my ticket about REing scatterguns did not contain anything about intended behavior or luck. What it did say was to refer to the forums and ask other players. (I was livid about this response, btw) When I referred to the forums, I found the Guide to Reverse Engineering thread stickied at the top of this forum, which states that scatterguns and vibroknives cannot be REd to learn new schematics. As of yet, I've never heard of anyone successfully REing a scattergun or vibroknife to learn a new schematic. As I said before, don't waste your mats, folks.
  13. Vibroknives and Scatterguns cannot be RE'd to learn new schematics. Don't waste anymore of your mats on this.
  14. I get schematics (armormech, synthweaving, biochem, armstech) quite often when running Investigation missions. This is especially true when running missions from Mission Discoveries. You will only get schematics when you crit on a mission, by the way. I'd suggest making sure your companion affection is high to increase your chances. Keep in mind the highest level Armstech schematic you will ever get is level 39 and those come from lvl 33-40 missions.
  15. If you ever need a techblade or techstaff, there might be an Armstech crafter left that hasn't switched to Biochem to make you one when you find out you're wrong.
