  1. Here's a link to the pc I bought. As stayed since I have recently upgraded my ram from 4 to 8 gb, PSU from 400w to 600w and have an external hard drive. Hope this helps. I've pasted the link via mobile browsing as I'm on way to work http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0042ENL74/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?redirect=true&ref_=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
  2. When I started having the trouble, first tihng I checked was what item in my pc was getting too hot too quick. Soon as I saw it was the graphics card, I had a feeling a replacement may be required lol. I'll have to get in contact with the company who I ordered it through (scan) and request a replacement Even the HD one being at almost 50 at times, it's nothing much of a concern, where as the card going 30 to 95 in a matter of minutes.........big case of "oh crap" lol
  3. The card is plugged in to the PCI-E slot WITH the two x 6 pin connections appropriately fitted. The fan is spinning on the card. It is the Point Of View GEFORCE GTX560 2045MB GDDR5 TGT CHARGED graphics card
  4. Hi Guys, I recently upgraded my graphics card to an NVIDIA GTX 560 2GB Charged, also upgrading my powerpack from 400W to 600W respectively. This was a few days ago. Tonight, my system appears to be overheating considerably quick and worryingly. This is within a period of 5-10 minutes of loading the game, or other games for that matter. Checking on Speedfan, it is my GPU (graphics card) which is the main, if only issue. HD1 goes up to about 48 degrees at a push, but it mainly sits idle at 40-43 on average, Temp 1 goes up a little, but temp 2 is fine, temp 3 doesn't exist for my system (known by most as a false reading so it is removed). I have attempted to run MSI AFTERBURNER to increase fan speed etc in a bid to help, but find that within a matter of minutes, the temperature goes up to almost 95 and freezes my system, even if i do so with the side panel off my pc (side panel being where the fans are near). As I write this, the temperatures show on SPEEDFAN as follows: GPU: 35 TEMP1: 38 TEMP2: 45 HD0: 45 HD1: 43 TEMP1: 30 CORE: 25 This is with the side panel off at the moment, and 5 minutes or so after closing swtor off. Can anyone advise please? Do I need a new case, better fans etc, or is it something screwed? :S
  5. Wow, even within 10 minutes I notice the difference in quality And i'm running swtor on HIGH graphics settings, no lag at all
  6. In the end I went for a Geforce GTX 560 2048mb GDDR5 TGT charged graphics card. Well worth the investment of that and a new 600w power pack Currently running them on an AMD Athlon II x4 640 quad core 3.2ghz processor, 8gb ram, 640gb internal and 1tb external hard drives.
  7. Thanks guys, would it matter much whether I chose PNY, ASUS, Gigabyte, NVIDIA, etc?
  8. Hi all, I currently run my pc on an ATI Radeon 5450 HD 1GB card, but have graphical issues with SWTOR (namely the black fuzzyness on screen now and again and graphic lag), despite running on the most recent and up to date drivers. I've decided to upgrade my card, ideally reverting back to NVIDIA or ASUS at the same time, but i'm unsure on which of these would be ideal for me (obviously taking cost in to account) I have found 3 options as a possiblity, but have no indication other than reviews as to how they would handle swtor for example on medium or even high graphics settings. I have found the following Nvidia cards.... GTX 460 GTX 550 TI GTX 560 Would the lower of them three handle this game on medium or high, and also would it remove the issue of graphic lag andf the fuzzy and black spiking, as well as allow a better experience of gaming? Advice is welcome
  9. Hi guys, I'll be honest first of all, this is the first mmo i've really bothered to play. I tried wow but couldn't get into it after a few weeks so gave up, but thoroughly enjoy playing swtor. I had initially (when I started playing swtor) chose slicing, scavenging and underworld trading for my empire fleet's sith warrior/marauder but found that the time taken to gain the credit profit was too long eventually, so I dropped all 3 and chose artifice, treasure hunting and archaeology. I have found the crafting to be quite enjoyable, item's sell relatively well, but I'm not too sure I am selling them at the "right value price". Could someone point me to a pricing guide, or give some sort of tips where possible regarding pricing items? I find that some of my item's sell for crazy amounts (where it's easy stuff to get) but other's dont. I sold a 99 bundle of Bondite for 74000 a few days ago, which to me is crazy as you can quite easily obtain it (or at least I managed to). Any tips regarding pricing structures?
