  1. Thanks all for the great advice. One other thing I'd like to be sure of: I thought I read some place that there are certain places up high (ramps, rafters, whatever) where you *don't* want to linger because you provide opposing ball-carrying warriors a target to force charge. Is this true? Where would that be? Thanks again.
  2. Huttball tastes like medicine. I don't really like it, but I'll do it because it's probably good for me. So I'm just looking for some Huttball advice for us gunslingers. What should I be focusing on as a ranged DPS class? Thanks
  3. Curious to know people's opinion on this as well. I suppose the question to answer first is - How often do you crit?
  4. Reasonably new to swtor, but I've played & PvP'd other games (DAoC, WoW, Warhammer). Currently have a level 30 concealment Op. I'm not twinked by any means, but all my gear is up to date. I recently started messing in Warzones. I'm playing based on my expectation of a stealther/assassin archetype - I don't expect to be overwhelming, or have good survivability. My only expectation was to have reasonably good single target DPS. I made sure to go after similar level or lower enemies, preferably squishy targets. Certainly no tanks. Given my current level, I was mainly relying on backstab, shiv, lacerate for damage (plus the stun, dot, where appropriate). However after about 6 WZs... it simply felt weak. My single target DPS was not at all what I hoped. Am I just doing it wrong? Do I need to wait for higher level? Is the stealther/assassin archetype simply different in swtor? Thanks
  5. Just looking for some suggestions. I've done PvP in DAoC, WoW, Warhammer. However I've not been playing SWTOR very long, and I have no familiarity (yet) with the environments & mechanics of PvP here. Certainly I'll read the forum guides and all that jazz. However my question is: Where, and at what level, is best to start practicing PvP (without pissing people off too much)? Thanks
  6. /sigh. ("Why do I bother" he asked himself) Even with your unnecessary barbs, we won't be having a pissing match today, Aside from the fact that I disagree with you, I was simply offering an opinion. I really liked the concepts they implemented in DAoC PvP. If any of those can be ported to SWTOR, in some form or fashion, I think it would be great.
  7. I didn't say anything about number of factions because, in my opinion, it would work just fine with 2.
  8. This has been mentioned plenty of times on the forum, but I'd like to make my voice heard as well. Remember DAoC PvP? Awesome. You should emulate that as much as possible. I know there's a jillion technical reasons why this, that, and the other, cannot be done. But I'm just saying, conceptually... do that. Keeps, relic raids, realm controlled content (pvp dungeon), stat boosts for your entire realm... that all made PvP meaningful. You'd see realm-wide announcements like "OMG The bad guys just took control of your stuff!" That was exciting to see! Then everyone would run out there, regardless of level, join a huge raid group, and try to get your stuff back. Wicked fun.
  9. Do you have a source for that? It would be great if that's the case, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. I guess we'll have to test it.
  10. That's not what I've read, but maybe it depends on the quest. Like if you just need to collect stuff from the environment, etc, it may work.
  11. I know folks have asked about the 4 person group limit before, but I haven't seen much input on how people choose to deal with it when you have more. So I'm just looking for suggestions. If you're playing with 5 or 6 friends, how do you accommodate? Thanks
