My build is a hybrid linked below http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500Rrh0zZforMrhdzGZM.2 This build is focused around master strike and its insane damage. Typically after you leap in (saber throw optional depending on situation) you immediately master strike since you have around 3 seconds of CC immunity. The only way they can escape is by leaping away, force speed, or something else like that. Then you get into your rotation of Overhead slash -> blade storm. The nice thing about my build is that in soresu stance you dont have enough focus to really use plasma brand along with your other stuff, so i take zen strike giving my overhead slash a chance to refresh my master strike. this allows my OS to proc MS and use it again which if that happens i use Freezing force then hit em again. MS hit between 2-4k ish range on most enemies. Meaning the first two hits are quick so even if they interrupt your MS you still got 4-8k more damage on them. This spec is also extremely tanky, allows for great utility, and damage. Im usually top 25% or 50% depending on the gear of my team with top protection.

Hi all, So I was wondering which spec is better for overall utility and usefulness in warzones. I like the hybrid spec but, would it be worth it to sacrifice your unchanneled force stasis and Warding Call for Plasma brand and Zen strike and go full vigil that you run in tank stance? Basically what im asking is, is warding call better than the extra damage you could get from full vigil in tank stance?

Hi all, A) What accuracy should i shoot for in pvp? I currently have 95% weapon and 105% special. I run defense vigil hybrid and was wondering if i should up my accuracy more if that is enough. B) Also what is the difference between the two accuracies? Is the 95% just for my basic attacks while special is for everything else?

So in PvP, is the best Guardian spec the def/vigil hybrid one or to go full vigil and switch on and off between shien and soresu stances when needed?

Its basically your OH CRAP button. In pve if your healer is behind with raid heals or what not or enraged bosses, popping that plus defense cool downs give you a chance to not die and allow him to heal you. In PvP, since a lot of classes have executes, if you find yourself in a close duel or engagement, you pop your enure (endure?) to give yourself more health to make it so he has more health to burn before he can execute. I use it to allow my execute (dispatch) to become available before his execute, allowing me to turn the tide. Becareful though, if you activate it too soon and cant seal the deal in 15 seconds or so (10 if unspecd) then your screwed. Defense guardians can pop enure, burn him to execute threshold, stun, execute, GG.

Hi all, For a long time ive used a defense focused build, with DPS gear, i got from a jugg. After 1.2, my spec was 31-8-2 and i loved it. My question though is the hybrid (something like 15-26-0) where you get commanding awe, OS, and Force Rush in vigil and no channel stasis in defense the best build using dps gear? My other question is that when using Defense i ignored Riposte and any advantages that gave for PVP. Should a defense guardian in pvp get those talents? Keep in mind this is for PVP only please. Hi all, Ive been 33 Defense 8 Vigil (hopefully that adds up) for pvp and for team games its awesome as i have an extremely high protection rate BUT In things like civil war zones or ilum if im by myself on a point, what are some specs that can help take people in a 1v1 scenario. Id like specs (preferable more tank like specs) and the gear that you use with those specs (IE vindicator with X spec or War leader with Y spec) Stims used would be nice Thanks all

I spoke with someone yesterday who said they used Riposte in their full defense PvP build. Although i can see its usefulness if you spam it of CD my problem is if your not being attacked then its never off cd. Is this build a good build? or are there better full defense builds?

Hi all, Its been a while but i was wondering whether or not they fixed this upper tier talent for the defensive tree (the ability that procs off blade storm). Last i checked it only provided like 300 damage protection. Any info on if they fixed this would be appreciated.

Well what stats do you need for the soresu focus build? crit surge? power crit? Also, isnt the focus build more squishy than the vigil build since you have nothing to bulk up soresu and no defense if you go pvp dps gear? or do you go defense gear with this build?

So after reading the forums, what is the best way to survive pvp? Defense is just for utility but the other two builds ive stumbled across are Focus tree spec with Defense gear (soresu used?) And hybrid spec Vigil with the lower t2 of Defense and DPS gear.

How do you unlock the ability to fight the sith lord guy on taral v?
