  1. I don't think you need to remove them or reduce them, it would have been nice however if PvP and PvE had their achievements under different headings. That way I could aim to get 100% completion in PvE content and not be overly upset my PvP stuff stagnates (especially the planetary kill totals).

This would be my second choice although I would still like to someday reach "all green" in the legacy achievement tab. If they would even link server achievements then this wouldn't be much of an issue. I could simply roll a toon on a pvp server and go to town.

  2. Thank you for the replies and support. I had the afterthought that maybe the pve requirements on the pvp servers could be reduced to "make things fair" but I doubt anyone really cares that's going for 100% achievement anyway. I had also considered kill swapping with friendly guilds but that seems pretty low on the fun meter. I would really just like to see the open world pvp requirement removed from the pve servers.
  3. Thank you for the post.

I also appreciate the interrupt ability but what burned me the most is the 10m cyro grenade nerf. Like we would be too powerful with an interrupt that they had to scale us down a bit. :D

I almost go into a rage when my bulky armored body can be grappled 30 meters against gravity into a fire pit, but I can't throw a one pound grenade the same distance.

Ahhh, I guess the laws of physics never did apply to Star Wars anyway.

Long story short (too late) I do really appreciate your post and thought is was well said.

  4. OP

That's all it says in any fleet at prime time. Sat on TRE but we have 3 fleets, I would think you server is the same.

To check just hit M and above the area map bit you should see how many phases there are. Dunno if that's the case with you but I woudl think it is

You're right about that, played some last night and saw we had two instances on the Republic Fleet with about 250. Must have just been a slow night on Thursday. Just hope we can keep these numbers up but still really ticked at BW with how they've handled the forced name change situation.

  5. For Bioware to have done this for players in my situation was a brilliant and welcome move. I had to change some character names, sure. Some pretty cool ones too. But I'd rather be called bigfatgayboywithsmall***** than have to play an MMO on my own, which is just pointless.

LOL! Happy for you about improvements on your side and you're a funny dude.

  6. For those of you that have had improvements with the server merge, I'm truly happy for you. I just think overall this is a brilliant game but a game that has been mismanaged. I don't know why they went about it the surprise and sorry about your luck way versus offering incentives for players to change their name if there was a conflict. As far as the comments about this as a business decision in the interest of Bioware, I'm certainly no expert, but the little I do know is it is easier and more cost effective to keep an existing customer than to try to get a new one. It seems to me that EA/Bioware have chose the latter.
  7. I may be missing something but aside from having to change five of my character names, I don't see anything different on the Shadowlands server. Population is still listed as heavy but the only republic fleet instance is listing about 240 online, about the same as it was before the merger give or take 20. Que times are the same for wz and flashpoint pops so as the title states I'm wondering what the server merge accomplished other than ticking a bunch of loyal fans off?
  8. I don't know much past the Trooper Commando build but the main reason I'm playing the Assault Spec tree is for warzones. I enjoy applying the dot's as a defensive tactic. Without the dot's prevention of caps, then I'm back to gunnery, zap, zap, zap, bang - zap, zap... you get the picture.

I understand my enemy may be frustrated by this but as mentioned before and with good teamwork there are purges that can remove the dot's. I'm certainly frustrated by my enemy's ability to stealth while I'm shooting at them, keeping me cc'd, interrupts and generally burning me down in 3 seconds; but alas, I don't see any changes for these on the horizon.

The dot's seem logical to me in that it would be difficult to focus on planting a shaped door charge while on fire.

Anyway, I guess I wouln't be opposed to a shorter dot duration if it applied the same damage but Bioware, please don't change the overall system. You will only "dumb" the game down and there are counter systems already in place to mitigate the dot's.
