MERCENARY- DO they stack AIM or CUNNING for healing at 50?
Aim
If you read the tip, it will mention Healing Tech increase on the bottom of the tooltip.
Besides, that is our MAIN stat.

My $0.02:
You won't find Healing info in an Aresenal thread, even though they can and should heal in some circumstances, so why include DPS in a Bodyguard thread?
pffft.
+10 and my undying <3
As was discussing with a rl buddy of mine, he mentioned something about specializing. Being dependent on your role will allow your party members to trust your role. Being a jack-of-all-trades doesn't make you as effective as you are meant to be. My point in this is optimizing your efficiency to the best of your ability. However you want to do it, that is up to your discretion.
Now, even in pvp, I still don't do as much damage. I still heal most of the time. Only time I damage is when I try to down a player to minimize the damage on my healing target (but it really depends honestly).

In PvP it does
Supercharged Gas + Muzzle fluting (for hybrid mercs), = freeeee power shots.
Yes it sure does haha. Ill have to point out this for pvp aspect. Rockin note. Thanks for the heads up there. Forgot about pvp and pve segregation in this guide.

Nice point there.
I wonder if it had to do with resource wise back in the production of the Star Wars series. Essentially, the production of the Star Wars races were limited to certain aspects of production such as make-up, costumes, etc. I wonder that the limitation in this area caused a restricted point in making different races well, just that different!
Also, how can other races man ships? Do you ever remember the part in The New Hope where Luke was out to destroy the Death Star? Not once did I see a non-human fly a ship. The only time I remember aliens flying ships was when The Phantom Menace was out, but that was because of the technology they had at the time.
So perhaps that the technology advancement was a roadblock in the 4-6 episodes and maybe the outlook in alien races were slightly different.
Maybe this makes a new look on Star Wars races in general.
Btw, I wonder what Jawas and Ewoks came from lol.

In the crew skills there is somethin about bio chem so I say it is involved in the Star Wars universe
Nowhere do I see anything about biochem that has anything to do with what we are discussing here. The biochemical science we see in the codexes explain the contents of the scientific injections that affect neurological stimulation and health regenerations.
--evolution, in my opinion.Since the there are so many humaniod-looking races, I always assumed that more-- excuse this word-- primitive life forms, such as those akin to our reptiles and mammals (certain races do resemble lizards or other reptiles, just as others may represent one of our own mammals) simply evolved into bipedal species through natural selection since having the use of two arms and opposable thumbs naturally gives one the competitive edge. There also must be more evolution to be done. I'm on a Darwin-binge at the moment, so pardon.
In any case, you do bring up a valid point.
The bi-pedal state has left a wondering idea of our indication of humanlike species, but the probability of species living on Earth that are bi-pedal are not as common, let alone humans. Birds, primates, and kangaroos, are yet those of the animal kingdom that are left in the bi-pedal stage.
However, the formation of **** sapiens is left with a wondering question. I am not saying I believe or agree with Darwinism, but I am just conducting science fiction theories.

As long as you know how to lead the missile and placing it properly, yes its very useful.

I understand your opinion. However, this very comment was just recently pointed out in a few posts before this one. Also, this was mostly pure healing. If I really must, I will just add rapid shots to enemies but that will remove from the point I'm trying to make on my own.
Your main objective is to heal, your small added dps will not add a whole much as to which the other group members will. Also, damage is always going to be taken somewhere, might as well use it on that so you don't fall behind.
As was mentioned, it is situational.

The Kolto Shield can proc every 3 seconds
just remember that the Kolto Shell does not proc. Proc is essentially used as a term for "chance on hit or use" Instead, it had a base timer of 3 seconds before the next one can come into effect.
And I hope you mean Kolto Shell and not Shield since this is about healing right?

Bodyguard spec means never having to stop shooting.
It's a good thing.
Very nice point. Although I'm fine with not shooting anything (besides cc)

So I just watched Splice last night. For those of you who don't know, it is a sci-fi movie consisting of two protoganists who successfully created a human-animal hybrid. Now we all know that stem-cell research has taken this particular and indirect route but I wonder if the Star Wars saga took it.
Many many (and I mean many...did I say many?) races have multiple similarities that are of humans. This is usually so up to all but the heads. Skin pigmentation and the head are that much different.
What do you guys think. Is this really a big picture of parahuman production?

The only thing that can be annoying about it is the constant sound it will keep making, but I seem to like it. It's also another thing to upkeep will doing other things.
I don't find pressing 1 all the time is boring, it's very fun.
Plus you see a lot of green. :D:D

Hope you all have a very happy holidays.
I will be out of town this weekend, so the chances of updating might be low. If I get a chance to get to it, then you're in luck.
Enjoy the gift of giving, start healing today!
Thank you metalfenix. We shall see if it really is that fitting pertaining to healing!

As of right now, slicing is a bit op because of the money situation. I would take advantage of the situation before it gets it nerf, if it ever does.

As is mention above as you level you will get some talent that help manage heat. Any situation that you have to spam rapid scan your going to have heat trouble. Super charged gas is very helpful in this as is the talent that drops the cost of rapid scan after a healing scan. Also make shure you are weaving rapid shots in as well. Even if your tank is down 1/2 health stay calm, hit a rapid shot then your rapid scan. I find when i panic and start spamming heals is when i over heat. When i stay calm and weave rapid shots and dont spam anything i can heal indefinably.
Basically what Vash just laid down here. What we are looking at is the idea of spamming big heals lead to faster heat increases which would then slow the heat cooldown time the higher the percentage goes. My main (Just as Vash again mentioned) is to fire Rapid Shots and build charges, as I call it, Keep pressing 1.
Another note he mentioned is staying calm. Panic (remember when the Bounty Hunter Advanced Trainer said that you are limited to your equipment?) is equivalent to your heat. You heat up in your own mind then you have to cooldown on your own end. Utilize that Supercharged Gas as much as you possibly can and shoot off Healing Scan when you activate it, and get that talent Critical Efficiency in the 4th tier.

Good guide but I would like to point out a few things I (constructively) disagree with. You mention that during super charged gas to never use rapid scan, but with talents (forget the name) using healing scan lowers the heat cost of your next rapid scan. With this talent the total cost of healing scan + rapid scan is the same as a single rapid scan. Rapid scan also heals for more so its a efficient idea to follow healing with rapid.
Absolutely. I just recently read somewhere in the talent tree where the Healing Scan will lower your next Rapid Scan by 16 heat making it an equal expenditure but with a more packed punch. I was contemplating in reiterating this point to make it more justifiable in that notion. Thank you so much for reminding me and I will make sure credit is due and duly noted.
As for the only healing never damaging i again have to disagree and say its more situational. As a lvl 31 ive found my self in many flash points and heroic quests where the tank just isnt taking much damage. While you can sit there and spam rapid shots on your tank you could just as easily hit the mob with those rapids too (and still stack csc). I feel an empty heat bar is wasted potential. Tabing over and hitting an unload is fine when everyone is topped off and you heat is empty. Obviously dont do so much as to impede your ability to heal if a burst of damage come in, but no reason to heal someone who doesnt need it just cus you like green . Again its situational.
As I mentioned aforetime, that it was situational. This guide is mainly about the idea of healing in general and the focus is to heal. Whatever individuals do afterwards is up to them. However, as you waved that green candy bar around, I admit that my guilty conscience of only seeing green has taken the better of me. As such, the implication of contributing to dps by only rapid shots may indeed help. But as I mentioned before, it also keeps up the so called "HoT" to minimize the usage of casting a Scan. Therefore keeping the target health full without expending any heat in case something goes wrong. But, like you said, situational.
I also understand my role in healing. A dps is a dps as a tank is a tank. If I was to support (unless it was to their discretion) they may object otherwise. There may be times where people may try to throw in a heal or two to help you out but for some reason that kind of irks me. Dunno why. Maybe it feels like I'm not fully doing my job or that individual doesn't have confidence in me? So I stay as a healer and refrain from damage. Part of Group Etiquette if you ask me.
Thank you for your kind comments btw.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
My main goal was to taret all players alike. Beginning or Advanced anyone can potentially learn something from new practical and/or technical information.
When I originally wrote this guide, I believe I ALMOST got all of the basic information. I believe I do know I am missing some things and they should be on my to-do list. Also, I am planning on advancing slowly to more advanced principles and possibly segragate them properly.
BTW, thank you TempestasSilva for that pointer about the Kolto Shell. I've seen a post topic about this particular incident about aggro issues and hopefully (need to level faster and slow down on the guide lol) and play with the Shell.

I am hoping I am able to help out at least a little in broadening the healing community with some enriched healers.
I'll try to think of more things to fill in the guide as I'm dealing with sleep deprivation in working on this thing. Became my newest obsession.

I tend to think of this way, Bounty Hunters are proprietors of their own selves. They hold contracts for whatever is placed out before them and they must fulfill it. I find it silly that we have dark/light choices because a "true" Bounty Hunter fulfills the contract and finishes the deed. If you are to kill someone and paid to do it, you do it. No questions asked. However, sometimes they end up as Dark points just for finishing the contract.
On the other hand, we are nothing but greedy bastards who want nothing but credits. This is where the NPCs will try to "buy" us out in order to do otherwise. Either that or express their sorrow trying to make you feel bad.
Heck, a contract's a contract. But a Bounty Hunter with a conscience? Now that's role playing.

More healer spots open for me
Mercenary healing is actually a lot of fun.

The Mercenary class for healing is actually very fun to play with. I find it challenging at times, but certainly don't think it's hard at all. It's just a matter of working the class and its techniques properly and you will go a long ways.

Thanks a bunch. I haven't had much time reading through the latest stuff I've written since I was out of town, but I realized that the Standing Still portion was targetting for when you are getting chased. I generally move around a lot when I'm not being chased because it keeps my momentum going. But when I am chased by some melee enemies, I stand very much still unless the following one of the following criteria is met:
Granted I'm also like a 26 year old kid with ADHD, I fidget a lot so I have to move around regardless. But I know when I need to stop and when to run.
It is situational at best.
