  1. Shows operative/scoundrels aren't completely useless in huttball like many people say.

Hold on, mindlessly farming kills in the middle with a 6-0 victory makes operatives useful? Any class can do that.

I premade with 2 sages, who don't do any damage or healing, but usually score at least 4-5 goals and assist on the last 1 or 2. People with OP's playing style are actually more hurtful compared to the Scoundrels who try to neutralize sages to prevent them from scoring. But that would require thinking, wouldn't it?

    The lesson:

    MOBILITY = HUTBALL WINS

    Have you ever tried playing Hutball with 4 commando's + 4 scoundrels against 4 shadow's + 4 guardians?

You would never win, because you can't keep up with the ball.

The one thing clever Scoundrels can do to be of actual use in Hutball is camp the enemy goalline in stealth, but the downside is once the enemy has the ball, you're a player down.

Also; we aren't the only stealth class. Shadows also have stealth but can do much, much more to contribute to the team.

What I primarily disagree with, and why I am even posting in this thread at all, is the idea of GZ replying to you. Considering the weight of his word, he should hold himself to a higher standard than taking potshots at the easy kills. He should be ignoring the likes of you (as I intend to do), and engaging in discussion with those willing to actually discuss, clearing up any false assumptions we make, accepting feedback and pointing out differences in their design philosophy compared to the intent we assume.

    Oh this, dear god this.

It's such a shame this gets drown out by all the nonsense.

George Zoeller, learn from this post, and stop frustrating those who are trying to help improve your game.

  3. Random IA? Make fun of the OP?

Check my post history. I have done nothing but present the facts for Operative disbalance in this game.

That thread had nothing but the simple fact that Operative Energy regen is inferior to Sorcerer Force regen.

I'm not hating on your thread, i'm hating on the fact Georg prefers sarcastic responses over proper feedback that the Scoundrel/Operative community has been begging for for over 2 months now.

  4. Hey,

We're perfectly aware that this difference exists.

It's because, shockingly, Agents are not Inquisitors.

The mirror class for the Agent is the Smuggler, the mirror class for the Inquisitor is the Smuggler.

Just in case it wasn't clear: We have different classes in the game - that means they actually have different abilities, energy systems, costs, etc. In short: It's working as designed.

    Georg

Hey Georg! How about posting in an operative thread that actually matters?

Like the 20 pages of people begging for some impossible to find feedback on our PvE damage?

Keep ignoring all the constructive threads asking for developer feedback, and respond to the ones that make Operatives look stupid! Well done!

  5. According to latest guild summit only 3% of players play Scoundrels and not all of them are main characters. Being a scoundrel is tough. After nerf, many left/re-rolled for more popular classes.

I assumed this was stated by Bioware, so what was their opinion on this fact?

Are they planning to do something about it?

The Shadows/Assassins out-of-stealth-Mezz lasts 8 seconds and adds 800 Resolve.

The Scoundrels/Operatives out-of-stealth-Mezz lasts 8 seconds and adds 1000 Resolve.

    Exactly this.

I'm not interested in what is more convienient at what moments, but I'm interested in why this was done and whether this is a bug.

Please stop spouting lies about the Operative stun lasting for 10 seconds, because its simply not true.

  7. Probably an oversight that doesn't get bug-reported enough.

Also, since resolve drains while the effect is still present, an Op can sap someone often enough to literally stop a single person capping indefinitely.

Giving someone instant full resolve and have him break out of that sap after 1 second, makes it a dangerous tool to use. For Shadows, there is still solid room for error. I'd say this is a big advantage.

  8. When are you going to fix this?

A Shadow can sap a player for 8 seconds, then, should the player break out of the sap, stun him for some extra seconds afterwards.

An Operative can sap a player for 8 seconds, then, should the player break out of the sap, nothing.

Is this actually intended or a mistake?

Especially in Voidstar, this is a very powerful tool, that should either go to both classes, or neither.

  9. And they actually share that opinion. Proof:

    Step 1:

    Visit: http://www.swtor-life.com/developer-tracker-swtor/?show_all_posts=1

    Step 2:

In the lower search bar type:

Wait... DOT -ticks- interupt capturing objectives in PvP?

    Step 3:

    ???

    Step 4:

    Profit.

Seriously. Cleanse is there for a reason.

You just turned Voidstar into an AOE spam fest that highly favours zerg groups.

It will turn into a game of 'time the respawn doors', who gets lucky on the respawn timer, wins the game! Fun!

  10. not basing my knowledge off of "could have, would have, should have"s, am not seeing anything wrong, am not seeing anything gimped, and am not seeing anything useless as far as PvE goes.

Inb4 "You're not an operative, 20% means class sucks and is gimped blahblahblah I just wanna rage and fume and not listen to reason!"

I am seeing numbers from my Commando, and numbers from my Scoundrel both in NM mode, and the difference is shocking. The numbers I rack up standing at ranged pressing a couple of buttons are much higher and consistent then up close Melee, where I have to be on a move constantly, need extra healing, need to position myself to the side/back of the boss, have to run back after a knockback, and still seeing overall lower numbers appear.

There is nothing I can 'prove' without a combatlog, this is true.

But I can give you the guarantee, once the log is out, and they havent boosted the Scoundrel, its game over for PvE.

  11. What a joke.

I know for a fact every regular Republic PvPer on my server knows an Operative called Meggles. Every Rep knows to be careful of him and they try to focus fire him and kill him usually with little success.

When he specs heals he easily tops WZs as well.

All you Operatives/Scoundrels that think you can't perform well are seriously just BAD players. Very very bad.

I really should level my Op come to think of it.

Can you imagine what an insane player he would be if he rolled a Sorcerer/Marauder/Powertech? Just saying.

  12. Thank you! We try to keep open communications with you all and with the introduction of our weekly Q&A and the dev tracker summary, we hope to continue this openness with you folks :)

What boggles my mind is why? WHY does every different CSR give a different and most of the time INCORRECT answer to question they don't know the answer to?

I politely suggest either instructing your CSR's better or at least stop them from constantly providing the wrong information. Just saying!
