  1. Ok thank You for answering though not a precise answer... :-( i See 82 views and ONE answer, i guess this game IS dead LOL

Why come here and ask daft questions that are easy to find the answer to; if you're going to give a pretentious response to someone giving you all the info you need? not sure how you manage to log in if you can't understand the first guy's response which was more than adequate.

  2. i know i know this is probably gonna seem like a whiney post but damn looking over the update changes and it seems like almost every single class got some type of damage increase except inquisitors. why oh why does this game keep giving a big fat one to the inquisitors:(:(:(

Inquisitors? do you mean all 3 sorc specs and all three assassin specs; or do you just mean Assassin(s)? becasue I read that as "everyone got a damanage bonus apart from 6 specs over 2 different classes".

I assume you mean the latter; assassins. And rightfully so, as the death knell set is absolutly bonkers, and it's now even stronger as it lasts the true 30 seconds rather than dropping the buff. So if this is the case, yes it's a whiney post.

  3. I've yet to see this work on my jugg tbh - yesterday I was testing this, and saw no significant difference on the damage of my abilities when this is popped. Certainly not a 25% increase. I didnt' have time to parse and see if this was actually the case, but I'm not convinced this ability is even working at all.
  4. The difference between playing sniper and playing it well is actually much greater then playing merc and playing merc well is the point. Its the class that when played well, you just look at and go ''meh'' cause anyone can do it.

I main a sniper, occasionally play my merc - mainly dont play it because it's not strong, and a far-cry away from how strong your opinion of the class/spec is. No question that my Sniper is superior both defensively and offensively to merc. It's not even more difficult to play either, in fact it's easier than a merc to master imo, thats engi and MM sniper as that's all I play.

Just seems like you got creamed from 1/2 mercs when you had no DCD's on whatever it is you were playing at the time & now your a tad salty.

I'd say mara's (combat played well), juggs & conceal ops/sorcs are the four most powerful specs overall currently. I wouldn't put mercs up there, and im just being honest here.

  5. Armor pen for Carnage? A spec where almost 50% of it's damage completely ignores Armor? Weapon damage is about 8-9% increase for Carnage - literally the only thing that isn't affected is Devastating Blast. Armor Pen gives about 4% increase - the only thing that is affected is Massacre and Ataru Strikes.

What you're saying is not true?!. It's nowhere near 50% of carnage abilities "already ignores armour". A fallacy statement.

To the OP, AP is a better increase in DPS compared to straight up weapon damage, I cant remember off the top of my head to what value it's better - but for carnage AP is your better choice at least initially. Im sure you can google it or figure it out. Saying this, you can't go wrong with weapon damage, and you dont have to think about min-maxing going that route. Will also be better if you try annhi spec etc

  6. How it is: Using Massacre/Blade Rush adds Hyper stacks to you, increasing your critical chance by 10% and reducing the cost of your next Massacre/Blade Rush by 1 per rage/focus stack.

Stacks up to 3 times. Last 10 seconds or until an ability other than Massacre/Blade Rush is used.

How it should be: ... Stacks up to 3 times. Lasts 10 seconds. 5/10 seconds internal cooldown.

That would make it worth while and not frustrating to use.

  7. Hi,

As I can see, people debate if the chosen one would be Carnage or Fury.

Before making a decision, I want to say my passion to those 2 specs.

The differences from Carnage and Fury would be:

    1. Carnage:

    - Has more white damage, so is better heal killer than tank killer, by default, u can miss a lot of attacks. But there is a sh*t trick to this game, in stun all defense is reduced to 0. So, if u're operative, and u use evasion before stun, it's completely useless. The point is, u have white damage, but if target is stunned and u don't have obfuscation on you, u will 100% not gonna miss in pvp, not even if u have 0 accuracy.

    - Has a *********** mini net, THE GORE, it's not important, yes, it's not, but against an operative, Carnage has 3 useful tools, super stun to 30 sec with berserk, ravage with 3 sec immobilize, Gore. in here gore can be useful.

    - +6 % DR and Defense. Pretty useful against punishing a jugg, can't say winning 100% against him, but punishing means u have a bit more buff to avoid or reduce damage taken.

    - Dps is lower, yes, unfortunately, even with fanged god form tactical, is bad. That being said, CARNAGE is not dps spec, it should be Kill spec, like MM Sniper, PT AP etc. Though those have more dps due to more free-****in-casting

    - Have a lot less mobility, that's why other classes from kill specs have more dps. Since u can set the utilities, the best ones for carnage would be different totally from anni and fury, most important thing, u need to put Mad dash root cleanse.

    - Has 3% more alacrity, so is amazing for leveling, but since u have so many white attacks, your question should be, do you stun a lot? if yes, then u can reduce accuracy to 0, if u don't, u would need to put more accuracy, at least 105%, But I tell u a hint, very very *****, if u put 110% accuracy, some of your attacks will still miss, I don' understand how is it possible.

    - I personally think utilities can be better set up for carnage needs, but requires a lot of mastery to a specific playstyle

    - Very good cleave in pve ! WHO CARES? It is trash in pvp ! because your attacks are melee, and u miss everything.

    2. Fury

    - Fury has 6 seconds CC immunity, god, everyone knows that, just saying biggest difference.

    - Fury has more dps overall, but main source of more dps is lack of stun, ofc those 6 seconds let u free dps, make enemy run, or use insta dcd or will eat a ravage/ Furious strike etc, and also +10% critical multiplier.

    - Fury has balanced state in all conditions +3 dmg increase + 3 dmg reduction to shii cho form, smash with yellow dps, which is very strong with Overwhelm, really deserve the praise to the balanced state, u can either use Raging burst, either smash.

    - Jump while immobilized, Obliterate lol. Real good gap closer.

    - Due to spec needs, u have yellow attacks and white attacks, and to white attacks u can also have no effect if u miss them. So to be more specifically, in my personal opinion, fury doesn't require any accuracy, so u save some stat. if u miss furious strike, it's np, if u miss obliterate np continue rotation, etc. Which allows more dps, and better cleave with smash lol

    - And most important thing, in my opinion, above 6seconds of cc immunity, and 6 seconds of stun immunity to saber ward, u have 10% defense. The main problem is, that is not regular defense, that defense is total defense 10% for 6 seconds. For those 6 seconds after furious strike, u can resist everything for 10% 6 seconds.

It can also resist a stun ! This is insane, 10% is not much, right? but it's a chance, this is op, lol.

In this meta Carnage is not kill spec anymore, but fury kept it's amazing properties,

Though if u go with Carnage, u can be more bursty with the devastating furious power tactical.

I choose fury, instantly, because it has a lot more advantages and u have an easy playstyle with a lot of survivavbility and easy rotation to follow even in dynamics of pvp.

    Best Regards

    That was a hard read.

  8. Btw I bet you I can outrun just about any other class in a race.

    Roll=>etrench=>seek cover 5secs=>cover=>seek cover 5secs=>cover=>seek cover 5secs=>imperial preperation=>roll=>entrench=>seek cover=>.....repeat

If they are blind, an IQ level of 10 and have no coolies, all well and good. if not, basically every class can 'catch' you.

Besides, it's all situational. I hope I find more snipers/slingers like yourself with this 'superman' facade you're carrying about with you - so it forces a man down on the opposing team.;)

  9. The worst thing I see when I enter a warzone is watching a sniper sitting in cover getting pummled and doing absolutely nothing about it.

Whether youre experienced or not you should at least have an understanding of these very basic defensive abilities other than cover pulse..

Ballistic Dampers - 30% damage reduction, pretty self explanitory. Its ok, but needs to be reset every 6 seconds.

    Heres the big one...

ENTRENCH! - holy cow this is the most op defensive skill in your arsenal. Use it. It prevents you from being cc and prevents you from being knocked out of cover (except when smoke screen is used against you) and has a low cooldown. And combined Seek Cover the speed boost the prevents movement impairing debuffs you are basically un catchable. Use it, and need be run for your life.

    Another big one..

Smoke screen/diversion - 45% accuracy reduction. What does this mean? The fuggers cant hit you! Use this situationally as a last resort since it has a long cooldown. But very effective!

Ballistic Shield - 20% reduced damage vs ranged. works well against focused fire from merc and other snipers. Use this all the time vs ranged. Has a very long up time.

And always roll out when youre surrounded. If someone is up in your face your in trouble. Get up and run if you have to. Just make sure when you do get up you have a buff up, like seek cover or smoke screen.

And finally use evasions/dodge! It's your most powerful defensive skill since you are immune to damage and it cleanses for damage. When you expect a big hit use it.

And dont forget imperial preperation, which resets dodge, entrench, sheild probe, and roll. Do you basically have double defenses.

I hope to not see any sniper die in 10 seconds anymore after they read this. You should be able to survive for much longer.

If you need to tell anyone the above, they either can't read (so they wont be able to read this anyway), or have an eBayed account.

    I blame the latter.

  10. They could always place the shotgun horizontally at the back, although it would hide the back of a character's belt (not usually anything there worth seeing anyway, I'd think)... only problem is the longer shotguns might extend past the width of the character's waist (not a problem with Fatty Body Type 4 males, but Body Type 1 Females might have issues. If I had a choice in the matter, I think I'd prefer a left-thigh mounted shotgun over a back or shoulder-mounted shotgun (like where the blaster rifle is placed, vertically hanging down from a shoulder). But, yah, I have to agree this is unlikely to happen.

Set the most logical input on this thread to bold. I've said this since beta.

  11. Perfectly fine. Too strong if anything, both as a tank and pvp. Pve dps is avarage to good.

No idea what the fellow below me is on about saying roll a PT. Completely irrelevant input - ignore.

Sin's are more than useful in all aspects, it's never been better for a 'sin as it is in 3.2 - its FOTM class for a reason.

  12. Never understood the use of OS as an opener...does poor damage single target, and wastes time casting. You'd benefit more from using it on 4+ mobs (elites are greater to get full effect) or just not bothering.

Tested this and it's superior just leaving OS out of the 'rotation'. Saying that, I'm nowhere near BiS...and I only pve casually. It works for me, as well as being more logical leaving it out. I'd agree with most other things, though.

    Good post.

  13. Hi,

The boss itself is bugged & has been since day dot. Two things to consider really; as stated below (or above depending on your reading pane), if the ads attack within proximity - unfortunately you've to kill the ads, if not, leave them be... Bit of a strange one to explain but if you've witnessed it first hand like us guys, you'll just have to roll with the punch until it's fixed. Easy boss regardless of the bug, just a bit of a pain if others in the group aren't singing from the same hymn sheet.

  14. Pointless idea.

I'd rather they improved how Merc's perform and the BH class in general before people's aesthetic values are considered. Development resources are already thin on the ground as it is.

Reasons for being pointless aside from a general waste of resources:

    1. If your in the range of a PT's stacked FF, you're taking a few hits, or the full channel unless you pop some CD's, snare break, knock back, interrupt, etc...

    2. If a PT uses FF without at least 2 stacks is either brain dead, or you should take the damage it doesnt output(s) and shrug it off.

  15. Both viable.

PT- Adv.Proto' & Pryo' - Both quality specs as a basic class, by this, I mean you can use a few skills and see progression instantly, or compete higher than your skill/gear level suggests. The skill level to play a PT effectively is very low - this is a reason most people prefer or sway the way of the PT. The effort for sucess is minimal compared to it's counterpart AC.

Merc'-Arsenal spec is probably the most difficult class in game to play effectively (In PvP that is, but can be frustrating slightly in certain OP's where mobility can be a bit of an issue), but I'd say it's the most rewarding at the same time because of this. Not to mention they look ******. The tools are there (minus my love for Grapple), if you have the brains to use them as well as a decent team around you.

I personally prefer the Merc' because I hate having things handed to me, which unfortunately most people live for an easy ride in most walks of life. At the same time, this leads to some frustration but if you keep this in mind, the game becomes easier :)

  16. I have a screen shot of rail shot about 4 days ago hitting 6.8k and my stats aren't as good as yours in my PT.

Similar spec too, I don't roll pyro unless for certain wz's

Would say they are the most underpowered/frustrating class out there but nothing a pocket healer won't solve.

You can hit the damage, just make sure the target is a sorc, with armour defbuff and surge power ups used. I don't think I've ever got under 4-600k+ damage per warzone what we won/was close. Not counting the wipe washes if I queue solo.

End of it though they are viable but JUST about

  17. Operative

Stealth has now been removed from this class meaning that Hidden Strike is now unusable also meaning that they now have only three usable damage dealing spells.

Vibroknifes have been removed and Operatives now use their bare hands which means that they cannot use Backstab, Shiv or Laceration.

The medicine tree has been removed as there was a mistake in programming and they were only supposed to have two talent trees, one of them being completely unusable.

    Marauders

Marauders can now use Vibroknifes if they wish.

They now have a consistent stealth.

Marauders now have a fourth talent tree called Overpowered.

They have now got a talent Overpowerednes - allows the marauder to spec into all four of his talent trees.

    Powertechs

    Powertechs can now use lightsabres.

    They now have force cloak.

They also have a fourth talent tree called Overpowered.

They also have a new talent Overpower which also lets them spec into all four of their talent trees!

I heard on the grape vine that PT's and Mara's will get a skill called "All-in-one", on no GCD, with no CD, that just 1-pop's people, with a 45m range, learnable at level 2 for a peanut and a dirty hankey. Just what I heard though.
