With 5.0 some classes recieved a big survivabiliry boost, like merks. Some classes recieved a potentialy breaking nerf like sorcerers... Trying a make more balanced game is good, but with these balance efforts must be tested at first.
Mercenaries and snipers have the strongest and easiest defence in games. Merks have better defence capabilities than PT, that is wierd, on top of that Mercs do more damage overal than PT. High armor, high survivability, godlike healing, amazing damage, they simply do not have the disadvantages.
Same with Maras and Jugs.
Sorceres have been nerfed more than should be. They do less damage than most dps specs in game.
They recieve more damage due light armor, their defence abilities are most predictable in game, healing is weaker (i can heal over 40k with my merk or operative with pressing one button, when to heal my sorcerer i need several activation of healing abilities)
