  1. I appreciate the tips so far - if anyone else has more tips, that would be wonderful! I'm still a bit confused
  2. So due to the LvD event, I've been rushing a tonne of new character through the game. The first one I did was a female Vanguard, so, of course, I took her through KOFTE to unlock the LvD achievements. I was interested in romancing Aric, but it seems that's locked off to me. But KOFTE assumes that your character did complete your class story, just off-screen. So why can't I start up a romance with the companions that I recruit through KOFTE? Unless I just missed a prompt somewhere, but I don't think I did.
  3. Really well-said! This was my opinion the whole time.
  4. I really, really, really wanna see the hook limit raised. I like to creatively decorate my Strongholds, and on Coruscant, without going bananas, I still have 4-5 rooms unfinished 'cause I hit the limit. Strongholds are instanced, so they would run great even with a higher limit. Honestly, the low limit was actually what caused me to stop playing toward the middle of last year - I was in a decorating spree, and then I hit the cap, and was so bummed out I switched to other games for a while and only Fallen Empire brought me back.
  5. Yeah, I had a similar experience. I was up to 60% by the time I had put random decorations around, and by the time I'd filled in the details on three rooms, I was almost maxed. I'm guessing this limit will be raised in the future, but I just thought I'd bring it back to Bioware's attention now that sufficient time has passed.
  6. Dear Bioware, So first of all, I'll say that when I first heard about the decoration limit, I was both unhappy and indifferent. On one level, I didn't know why such a limit should be put in place (I later read that the Devs put it there for performance issues), but on the other hand, I figured that a 350 hook limit (for Coruscant/Dromund Kaas, at least) would be more than enough. Well, now, nearly a month later, I've come to the conclusion that 350 decorations is WAY too small. As it is, I've placed over 300 items, and I've only fully/satisfactorily decorated one room. Three others are close to completion, but that leaves my balcony, main room, and 4 other rooms almost completely untouched. And for those who will say that I'm decorating too much, I'll save you the time of commenting by establishing that I am not doing so. I'm not filling up every single room 100% - I'm just putting down enough varied decorations until I'm satisfied with the overall look of the room. Which probably is about 75% of the hooks in each room. As it is, performance in my Stronghold, even with over 300 decorations placed, is nearly perfect. There is absolutely no lag (for me, at least), and everything loads snappy and with no issues. So I very much think the hook limit could be vastly increased, doubled, or even removed with minimal negative repercussions. However, Bioware, if you are wanting to milk this (as I'm guessing you are, given the sheer amount of decorations that come from cartel packs only), and if you're concerned with server requirements for such an increase of hook limits, then make the increased hooks free for Subscribers, and give a "Hook Unlock" deal in the Cartel Market. That would be a great perk for being a Subscriber, while allowing Free players to gain similarly by spending real dollars (or credits, but both options are good for the health of the game). So yeah, in conclusion, 350 is way too few. Please increase that number. Sincerely, me.
  7. With the Kingpin Rancor, I spent around 2.2 million credits to get it, using Smuggler's Tokens. At 1 Smug Token for 1k, that's around 2.2k RNG rolls just to get the rancor. And yes, I was using Smuggler's Tokens to earn Kingpin Tokens, so that number isn't 100% accurate, but it means I spent tonnes of time just rolling. In your case, you have to earn the boxes and then roll, which is an immensely longer process than what I did. So yeah, 190+ boxes is tough to not earn anything with, but that only amounts to 190+ rolls. In my case, it took 11 times that to earn my Kingpin Rancor, and that was a 0.07 chance of winning. And yet, you see many people romping around with Kingpin Rancors. But the crystal schematic you're talking about is much, much rarer. So, in light of that. 190+ rolls isn't nearly enough to "break even", so to speak, with the RNG chances for that item. As another example, I've opened up around 100 bounty packs (for rep) and haven't earned a single rare mount. Yet, I'm guessing the rare mounts in those packs are much more common than your desired crystal. Ultimately, RNG can be nice, it can be rude, and it can be downright mean. Seems like luck hasn't been in your favor, man. If you're quitting tho (and I mean this well), could I have your items and credits? I'd really like to purchase Contraband Packs on the GTN, but they're quite costly. And if you're as solid a player as you've been saying, your credits would go a long ways to helping out.
  8. I was thoroughly impressed by your beautiful acting skills and your clever satire. Well done, you made my day.
  9. I'm in a queue that's very slowly ticking down, even though current server population is "Light".
  10. That's fine, and since you seemed to be genuine about what you're saying, I'll address your points one by one. I agree that it's unfortunate, but I wouldn't say ridiculous. Technically, Subs get "Early Access" to GSH, which means that it really isn't fully accessible until it's released to the general public. It's expect that in a content update this big, some things are gonna glitch up. Personally, I'm glad more hasn't messed up. Again, am I dismissing your concerns? Not at all. But I would also say that BW is doing their best to do their best, if you know what I mean. It isn't like they deliberately insert game-breaking bugs into the game - and if there are bugs, it's because, as a developer, it's hard to iron out ALL bugs. And, as it is, I'm guessing BW is understaffed as far as SWTOR goes. I would disagree with you here. Every single MMO out there has you grinding the same bosses over and over again. WOW releases content expansions every two years - that means, at a minimum, you're grinding the same bosses over and over for two years before you get something new. GW2 hasn't added ANY new endgame content since its launch back in 2012. Champions Online is FINALLY adding new content after a long hiatus, etc. Wildstar is the only new MMO to be actively adding new endgame content, but that game is so shallow in so many areas that it is VERY rapidly losing money. So, ultimately, all games have content releases like this. SWTOR is no better or worse than the other MMOs out there. Your concerns about housing and decorating again are not unique to SWTOR. All other MMOs with housing are like this. Again, Wildstar is better than most in this regard, but also again, it's steadily failing. WOW's new "housing" doesn't even have decorations or much customization at all. SWTOR is actually doing pretty good in this regard, and I'm guessing that Strongholds are only gonna see more development and expansion down the road due to the huge amount of money BW is raking in through GSH (I know people who have dropped upwards of $150 on Strongholds and decorations alone). And I think they just restored crafting with GSH - I've never before seen mats fly so fast off the GTN. This is one point I very much agree with. I feel like WAY too much attention is given to the Cartel Market, and not nearly enough is given to Subscribers. Then again, 2013 really was the year of the Cartel Market in terms of EA's experiments and expectations, and so now that EA has seen SWTOR do well, I hope that more emphasis will be given to things other than the Cartel Market post 3.0. However, the Cartel Market HAS Been where SWTOR earned most of its money in 2013, so I can understand why EA wants to milk the snot out of it. I think they're helpful. Makeb takes me 5-7 hours to complete per toon. And it's drop-dead gorgeous. Just creating the assets for it (not to mention the storylines, VA, and everything else with it) would have been quite resource-intensive, especially given SWTOR's skeleton Dev team. That's cause the game clearly shifted at the end of Chapter 3 from Class Storylines to Faction Storylines. And honestly, I understand why - the SWTOR Devs are having to do more with less, and so doing two Faction Storylines is much cheaper and faster than doing eight Class Storylines. This is something I very much understand, and I am fine with it. While it's true I do play for the Star Wars universe, the main reason I play is not because of the SW or BW names, but rather 'cause I genuinely enjoy the game. I've got 5 level 55s (BH, Trooper, Counselor, JK, Smug), and I'm working on my sixth (Sorc). I'm taking it slow and enjoying the stories. I'm also enjoying not only gearing all of my toons, but every single one of my toon's companions as well. Legacy is a blast, and is something that makes SWTOR infinitely superior to most other MMOs, as well as interactive story quests (which, while taken for granted in SWTOR, is very quickly noticeable when lacking in other MMOs). My character has personality, and is as deep a character as I want him/her to be. And to top it all off, I love the in-game events, and the new Forged Alliance stuff is really fun and cool too. Oh, and GSH is a blast! I love owning and decorating my home(s) - I've been enjoying it MUCH more than I originally thought I would! And you were heard, sir! I hope my reply helped alleviate some of your concerns!
