  1. Our whole raid was in skype and we did just as you said. Tank clicked the door and we waited to get a confirmation that the boss had done his initial swipe and only after that people would click the door and get in. Every time the same dps would die and him being one of our best if was really frustrating. We couldn't even really try downing the boss because it we werent nearly geared enough to do it 7man. It's also ridiculous that if you wipe the boss is still standing there, he should go back into his hole on the side of the arena. I think it's just bad desing when its like that. He also was a bit bugged when coming out the first time, he just warped into the middle of the arena and aggroed.
  2. Just ~12 hours ago we ran into this same bug but it was also accompanied with a bug that when we wiped on Gharj we couldn't enter the instance if we didn't reset it. And that meant every time we wiped we had to clear the trash again. We even had some bugs with the Annihilation droid and the Rancor boss. So far the operations seem incredibly buggy which is kinda disappointment.
  3. You should break the turret's shields but if your healer is good you don't have to kill them. We left one turret alive but didn't destroy its shield before killing hk-47 and the turret got bugged and we were left in combat. The enrage timer is quite tough so if the group doesn't have enough dps you might need to skip the turrets. Even though you skip them you should break their shields.
  4. Wouldn't be the first time something being stealth nerfed in an mmo. They saw the problem but didn't dare to admit it. Some people are already running around in full champion or battlemaster gear so they ****ed up with the system and hard. Loot bags along with Ilum being useless together make probably the biggest PvP blunder in mmo history.
  5. 18 bags 1 item and reading these posts makes me afraid that this will continue up to 30. I'm starting to lose my will to pvp because it seems no matter how many bags I open I won't be getting any gear anytime soon. You need 78 commendations to get 2 set pieces for the 2pc bonus and that's 26 bags worth of commendations which is ridiculous because even then you get worse gear than someone who happened to pull out many items from their first 10 bags. They need to scrap the random component and change the system FAST because lucky people already have nearly their full sets done and they're getting way ahead of us unlucky ones in pvp. It screws the balance and it will be horrible if they don't change this before the 50's are moved into their own bracket for warzones.
  6. I really like the idea of upgradable equipment. Rift also patched the pvp loot system in a way that you could buy the lower tier pvp gear and as you player you could upgrade it tier by tier so that you didn't have to save up ages for the highest tier of gear and get your *** handed to you while grinding for it. The pvp loot system in place in SWTOR is pure **** and rng really doesn't work for PvP loot distribution. It would be great that one could upgrade his centurion pieces somehow for them not to be total waste.
  7. Ofc I take it when I'm in a tanking spec. But I can't think of more than one occasion where it has really helped killing stuff. That was when me and 5-7 guildies were killing tatoiine's world boss. He does this aoe smash and I was depsing back then because a higher level guy was tanking the boss. So I predicted the time of the aoe smash and used oil slick just before it and most of the time he'd miss the aoe because of the slick. It seemed to work that either it hit us all or none of us though I might be wrong in this. Its not really a good skill but one has to take everything that helps when tanking.
  8. If he levelled through pvp all the way he mightve been quite close to 60 when he dinged 50. Still doesn't change the fact that the system is broken and it's ridiculous that someone can already have a full set.

    Level 50 pvp gear

Supercommando one is for a tank and the eliminator one is the dps one. There isnt a specific set for both of the powertech dps trees. So the eliminator's is the best you can get. And the set bonuses are **** yep.
  10. We are talking about the purple Champion loot bags that cost 200 warzone and 200 mercenary commendations. The lower level green pvp loot bags are worthless and a waste of commendations. 20lvl set is good but you probably should only get the pieces that are good upgrades to your gear. 40lvl set is a good investment and it will last you a bit longer.
  11. Yeah I should have clarified that about the cooldowns. A powertech can't really do much to help his healer. Energy Shield is on a long cooldown and Oil Slick isn't always enough. Sure I can aggro the aoe packs but I can't last through them what's the point? I really wish they'll put out a big patch soon that addresses all the problems the game has.
  12. 18 bags and 1 item, I feel ya. Sure, I never got any loot from VoA either but in WoW you could grind out bgs for the starting gear and then do arena and steadily continue getting the gear. In SWTOR its purely based on luck. Theoretically I could go on for weeks without getting any item tokens.
  13. Doesn't change the fact that it plain sucks.
  14. Okay that shed some light to how things have changed since beta. Jet charge was one of the primary reasons I rolled powertech instead of mercenary but after some time I realised that shieldtech does crap dps and I really can't kill much without other dpsers around. The skill trees are also set up in kinda irritating way that they force you to use the tree's own cylinder and it's hard to hybridize. Also is it just me or is a powertech tank way more squishier than a jugger tank? There are also entirely useless talent in the trees like Kolto Vents in adv. pt. 7% hot over 10s in a 2min cd? No thanks.
  15. I just answered to another thread about the same thing so here's my post
