  1. Well, obviously, staying home is NOT the activity for you. I'm glad you discovered that. But you need to understand that a lot of us do enjoy staying home, and there's not need to bash the activity of staying home.

Just get out of yours, and let us, trolls, be happy.

  2. Allow me to quote my thread here: a guide to sensor min/maxing

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=698787

Now, please keed in mind that Sensor Dampening has been nerfed since this was written.

You will read in the "known issues" that Sensor Dampening is restricted up to 15,000. So whatever your sensor is, and the opponent's dampening is, you will (for now) always be able to detect it up to 15,000m

    EDIT:

Communication range is the range up to which you communicate your own sensor's reading to your teamates.

  3. Each time the game hits a positive milestone, the so called haters will come with a vengeance. That's what we're seeing this month, with the (somewhat successful) release of GSF and 2.5 as a whole.

They cannot tolerate this game's relative success. They rejoice at (eventual) drops in revenues or subscriptions numbers. This makes them feel good, superior. Their only satisfactions come from belittling others, either here or in real life. They feel sadness everytime a positive post is made, a positive review comes out.

This actually has so little to do with the game, it's unsettling...

This is a well known behavior of certain kids in kindergarden: they cannot bear the sight of another kid enjoying a toy; they will try to destroy the toy. What we're seeing here is the "adulthood" version of such behavior.

I feel sad for them. I also feel sad for their close ones.. :(

  4. Here's a bit of my setup which runs consistently 100+fps on fleet on maxed ultra settings.

    i7-3770k cpu

24 gigs of G.Skill Ripjaws X Series ram

    Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard

Samsung 840 Pro Series 128gig SSD

    GeForce 660Ti video card

Those are pretty much the key aspects of the build and should be within your price range for a very good gaming setup. My rig plays SWTOR on ultra max settings with ease. Hope this helps you some.

    24 gigs (!?!?!) of RAM?

Do you play 6 games at once while doing video edits?

  5. I regret keeping my subscription active just for this load of unfun ********.

    Then don't!

It's been known for weeks it was PvP

There was the PTS to check it out for 2 whole weekends.

There were TONS & TONS of videos on YouTube and fan sites where you could have seen how it was like

You only have yourself to eblame

  6. 1. Please make the default ship for each match the last ship you used. I joined a match in progress once and in my rush did not select the ship I had been putting all my resources into because it keeps defaulting to a starter ship (I bought the upgraded strike fighter for 5000 fleet coms).

    2. One or two more medals for defending the whole time would be appreciated. I am a defender, I huddle on grass on Alderan, I watch the doors and I here I watch A or C. In one match I am thinking of I was at C the whole time, killed 4 or 5 guys that came to sniff whether it was defending or not and got 4 or 5 medals whilst the people who joined the ******** at B were getting 12. Now, they are doing a lot of work and they held B against overwhelming force, I am not asking for 12, but maybe 7 would be a little more appropriate.

    1) fly into an asteroid: problem solved!

    2) completely agree!

  7. 1) During the lockon process, you do not need to use your cooldown ability. Just try to get out of LOS or out of range

    2) Once the missile is locked, THEN use your cooldown ability.

    3) Get some upgrades on your cooldown ability to reduce it's CD time

    4) Some crew members will also decrease this CD time.

    There ya go.

Some solutions that do not involve removing a whole lot of things in the game

  8. Probably not your Ping,

Pretty sure targeting is client side

Don't Forget your weapons have inherent accuracy %, accuracy tracking loss, and the enemy ship has a % of evasion. So clicking your mouse button right on top of the red reticle is NOT a guarantee of hitting it.

Some ships are stacking evasion tanking. Using evasion boost abilities. Or using accuracy debuffs on you!

  9. 1) Taken directly from Dulfy's new player guide

"There is an important option you should turn on before viewing this tab. Use Esc to access your preferences menu and then go to Starfighter section. Under Tooltips, make sure Show Detailed Star Fighter Weapon Tooltips is checked. This will allow you to get detailed info on weapons. "

    2) Read Dulfy.net guides on GSF

    3) Not turning fast enough?

-Remember that scouts turn faster than Strikers.

-Pitch is faster than yaw. THIS LAST SENTENCE IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not understand what pitch and yaw is, Google it. That makes "Rolling" quite important.

There are upgrades you can buy to make turning faster

If you slow down your ship (using "S"), you turn faster than if you are full throttle ("W")

    4) Not sure about sensor range and dampening? Enemies not showing on your UI? What is going on??!?

    Read this thread:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=698787

But take the numbers cautiously! They are taken from PTS, and not necessarily uptodate.

Keep in mind that there is also "sensor focus range" that will make your sensor range longer (still unsure how it works)

Feel free to continue this thread with your own tips!!

  10. While I don't see how they could have implemented the possibility of using the mouse to click on abilities and maneuver the ship at the same time, you can rebind the keys however you want if you go to Options > Preferences > Starfighter Key Bindings > Weapons And Abilities.

Well, they did. Well not at the same time, but with the push of a button

Hold the Z key, free your mouse cursor.

  11. 2. I am unable to adjust the sensitivity for the aiming reticule. Just a tiny movement and it goes all the way left, right, up , down making it very difficult to aim accurately. Since this is basically just a War Thunder but in space you should just copy War Thunder and have the reticule locked in the center.

    My only 2 issues atm.

You can adjust your mouse sensitivity through

    1)Windows settings

    2) if you use a specialized mouse for gaming, you most likely have a software/driver to adjust it as well

Most Razer Mice will even have a button solely dedicated to lower or up your mouse sensitivity

If this is a huge thing for you (or if it "INSTANTLY UPSETS YOU"), , you should consider getting one.

  12. Should I save up my SR to buy a Gunship first or start maxing out my Scout?

If you are starting GS tomorrow, that means you are a subscriber

That also mean the Gunship will be unlocked already if you were a subscriber on Nov the 1rst
