    What are some good population servers to transfer to?

    Hey all,

     

    As the question appears to be answered, we'll be closing this thread at this time. For those curious about this reasoning, here's an answer from the Character Transfer Service FAQ that might provide some insight:

     

    Can I transfer my character to any server I wish?

     

    Not as part of the initial Character Transfer Service. By encouraging players to transfer characters to and from specified servers, we hope to ensure balanced server populations across the service. Eligible servers will be listed as they become available for transfers at http://www.swtor.com/transfer. Characters on a specific group of origin servers will only be able to transfer to specific individual destination servers.

    Hey folks,

     

    We do know that discussing other games is a natural topic that people want to participate in. However, we do ask that threads created on these forums relate directory to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. We'll be closing this thread as it's off-topic. Thanks!

    Hey folks,

     

    We do understand you can get frustrated with members of the community at times. However, creating threads such as these inevitably draws out negativity and non-constructive discussion, which does not help the situation.

     

    As a result, we're going to go ahead and close this thread. We do hope that in discussing the game, people can constructively criticize and disagree with one another, as this leads to more productive discussion.

    We do understand you can get frustrated with members of the community at times. However, creating threads such as these inevitably draws out negativity and non-constructive discussion, which does not help the situation.

    Legacy...what a waste of time / code and effort

    We do thank people for taking the time out to post about issues and concerns about the game. We do read it, regardless of whether it is positive or negative.

     

    That being said, feedback about specific issues should whenever possible be placed into the proper subforum. For example, there are existing threads in the Suggestion Box forum where discussions about some of these concerns are being had:

    Also, while we do appreciate and read feedback, we do ask that said feedback is constructive and respectful. If you need some guidelines for doing so, we do have a post here via our Dev Tracker that explains it:

    We've gone ahead and done a bit of cleanup in the thread.

     

    We get that you might get a bit spirited and passionate about your opinions, especially when they disagree with others in the discussion. However, we ask that you leave the rude comments and insults out of your posts and respectfully disagree with each other. Please note that threads that insist on discussion that is rude and disrespectful are closed, so let's keep things a bit more civil if we can.

    Feel free to use that thread to continue the discussion as we'll be closing this one to keep things a bit more consolidated.

     

    Also, to answer questions about whether or not we are aware of this issue, this quote from Joveth in today's Community thread should help a little:

     

    We're very aware that this is the top issue facing the community right now and rest assured that the teams are working on launching this when it is ready. It's definitely one of our priorities, but we want to make sure that it is fully functional and ready before it goes live. This is why you're going to be seeing a lot of "soon"s and "we're working on it".

     

    In sum: we are listening and character transfers are our priority.
