  1. Hey folks,

We're going to go ahead and close this thread, though we do have one that does ask questions about whether PvP gear is viable for PvE elements here:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=505151

While we understand people might get frustrated with folks in the community at times, creating a thread which bashes them instead of utilizing constructive criticism does not lend itself to productive discussion. It's possible to create a thread where you do have concerns about what people do in the game, or about something like the separation of PvP and PvE gear, without resorting to insults and rude comments. It definitely leads to people being less contentious about how they reply to a post and makes the point of it much clearer.

We hope people understand this when making future threads. Thanks for your understanding.

  2. I'm assuming this means I have to invite my friends now and that this doesn't apply to before this reward. I had a friend accept my invite in the past.

I really don't think any of my friends will pay for a subscription just so I can get a speeder. Can't this be changed for anyone who has already got a friend to join?

Actually, it does apply to before the reward :)

Here's an answer given in the Customer Service forum on this very question:

    Hi guys,

If you have sent these friend invites since the Friends Trial Program became available in March and the player you have referred meets these requirements then you will be eligible for the bonus speeder.

    Thanks.

If you've met this criteria, you should be eligible for the speeder. Please feel free to fill a ticket with Customer Support if you did meet the criteria and requirements, but do not receive the bonus speeder. Hope that helps, and know that we appreciate your support of our community and the game! :)

  3. Hello there,

We get that there are times when you might be frustrated about class changes. That being said, we ask that you be constructive and respectful in your criticism. Feedback that has productive and detailed points in it provides us with the best way of understanding concerns.

We'll be closing this thread, but hope to see constructive posts about these concerns in the future. Thanks for your understanding.

  4. Hello there,

We do understand frustrations about latency, but do want to point out we do have a thread discussing it here:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=480320

In addition, constructive feedback rather than just a complaint is the best way for us to gather information about issues that players feel strongly about, such as server stability. We'll be closing this thread, but encourage productive posting in the future. Thanks!

  5. Hey there,

We always do appreciate folks who pick up the torch, so to speak, and update guides that haven't had a chance to reflect recent changes. We try to keep stickies as current as possible, and folks flagging posts does help us do that.

Thanks for your continued help and effort!

  6. Hey there folks,

We get that you might want to discuss other games (even other EA games) on the forum. That being said, we ask that threads posted on this forum relate directly to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. As this thread doesn't meet this requirement and is thus off-topic, we'll be closing it at this time.

    Thanks for your understanding.

  7. Hey folks,

We do have a thread discussing recent issues with The Shadowlands here:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=494174

Please note the following response regarding these issues:

Hello there everyone! We're investigating your disconnection reports now and are sorry for the inconvenience. Please watch this thread for updates as we have more information. Thanks for your patience!

Feel free to continue discussion in the above thread. We'll close this one so that can happen. Thanks!

  8. Hey folks,

We do have a thread to discuss maintenance concerns here:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=493311

We'll be closing this thread so you can continue the discussion in that thread to keep feedback a bit more consolidated.

Also, as a gentle reminder, we'd appreciate if folks refrained from rude or insulting comments no matter who or what they are directed towards. If you must disagree with someone or something, please do so constructively. Derogatory comments are not allowed. Thanks for your understanding.

  9. Actually, we do allow feedback both positive and negative, and there are plenty of threads on the forum that do so and remain open for discussion:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=491755

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=492127

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=480320

However, we ask that feedback be constructive. Suggestion Box is actually a good place to post some productive criticism with some meaningful feedback:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=349

This thread will be closed, but as always, we do encourage constructive feedback of the game in future threads. Thanks for your understanding.

  10. Hey folks,

We do thank people for taking the time out to post about issues and concerns about the game. We do read it, regardless of whether it is positive or negative.

That being said, feedback about specific issues should whenever possible be placed into the proper subforum. For example, there are existing threads in the Suggestion Box forum where discussions about some of these concerns are being had:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=349

Also, while we do appreciate and read feedback, we do ask that said feedback is constructive and respectful. If you need some guidelines for doing so, we do have a post here via our Dev Tracker that explains it:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=141421

We'll be closing this thread, but do encourage folks to post constructive feedback about the game in future threads. Thanks for your understanding!

  11. Hey folks,

We've done a bit of cleanup in this thread.

We do understand when it comes to class balance posts that people can get a bit passionate about their opinions and thoughts. That being said, please refrain from rude behavior, insults, or otherwise attacking others in your replies. Disagreeing with each other should be done constructively and with respect.

Please note that threads that insist on rude behavior are typically closed. If you do see a post you feel is in violation of the Rules of Conduct in this way, please Flag the post rather than responding to it and further derailing the potential for productive discussion.

    Thanks for your understanding.
