I had a question, earlier in the thread I saw someone state that defense and block don't apply in PvP. Now I might not be remembering correctly but I could have sworn I've seen parry and deflection messages pop in PvP combat. Was I misreading this person's statement? Were the messages I saw a bug? Am I really that tired when I do sit down to play? Thank you for the answers to this question. I'll post my current build and views on a Defense oriented Guardian after a bit more run time with something I worked up a little while ago.
