  1. Never, ever, ever use Shadow Strike without the Infiltration Tactics proc. without that proc, Shadow Strike costs way too much Force and doesn't even do that much damage. As to Force Breach, it doesn't require Exit Strategy stacks really. Force Breach hits like a truck regardless of when you use it. The Exit Strategy stacks are simply a mechanism to increase the damage by a little bit with each use (it's 4% per stack; seriously, why the hell would you wait for it to stack up that much unless you're dead set on only using it once) and they're capped out at 5 to simply prevent abuse of it.

    If you are only using a rotation shorter than 12 seconds, you want to wait to use Force Breach til last. If you want to actually do as much damage as possible over any time frame longer than that, you want to use Force Breach as your top priority attack and completely ignore Exit Strategy stacks (you'll get them no matter what you do and Force Breach hits like a truck whether you have them or not). Basically, unless you're damned sure either you or your target is gonna be dead *really* soon, you're better off just using Force Breach immediately. This could be a problem now (Infiltration is squishy as bejeebus so chances are relatively high that you're gonna fall over unless you've got support), but, with all of the survivability buffs in 1.4 (Shadow's Respite providing 25% DR, Kinetic Field providing 6% more on top of that), you'll be able to stay alive for longer than just an initial burst phase.

    Survivability isn't as bad as people say, Spinning Kick can proc Infil tactics luckily. 30% damage increase to Force Breach can make it hit like a train, rather than a truck, I don't wait till I have a 5 stack to use it, I use it at the end of my rotation which is usually a stack of 2 - 3.

  2. Hi Jarbarian,

    Unfortunately, Shadow Infiltration isn't the most survivable class, but there are methods to use;

    Your rotation looked off...

    Spinning Kick (If in Stealth)

    Shadow Strike (If Possible)

    Clairvoyant Strike x 2

    Project*

    Force Breach**

    Spinning Strike

    * Project is immediatly after the clairvoyant strikes to utilize the proc clairvoyant strike offers ( see ** )

    ** Force Breach is the final move to be used in the rotation other than spinning strike as that requires a criteria, using this last utilizes it's Exit Strategy, giving it more opportunity to stack higher before its execution.

    You need to stat balance as well. 35% Critical (With Lucky Shots) and 75% Surge are the stats you're aiming for, the rest should be put into power/willpower. This maximizes damage.

    Make sure you circle your opponent, be difficult, you maybe melee but you can LOS none-the-less, if you want a more in depth answer, just send me a message and we can talk through it!

  3. This is basically what they did in WAR, but with some improvements. What you've got is a good starting point, but lacks motivation.

    If you have to control the pvp zone in order to gain pve benefits, people wont care. It'll either be ignored, or it will become a pve swop-fest as people take objectives, leave zone, pve, lose zone, come back to retake, repeat. You have to give the pvpers themselves motivation to stay.

    So, for the pvpers, this means valor and gear. Link gear to objectives i.e. take / defend an objective gives you barter tokens which will buy you a pvp set appropriate for your level. This way you encourage actual combat over objectives (structured opvp), give pvpers an alternative way to level, and the pvers can appreciate the world wide benefits.

    To stop ganking, again, do the WAR thing: turn over-leveled players in to chickens / rakghouls upon entering the pvp zone.

    Yeah you're right, there wasn't a lot of benefits for higher level players, perhaps cosmetic armour relevant to the planet for each class as well, call it like Tatooine Conflict, or Scenario gear as an idea.

  4. Its a great concept that would give folks a reason to PVP while leveling.... probably wouldn't be a huge draw for 50s because there are zero rewards for player kills in this game. Still I like it.

    It may be viable to give level ranges per planet, so only certain levels can attend planetary control, so Nar shadaa would be 20 - 24.

    Would leave little margine

  5. Not bad, but you might have to come up with a way for 50's not to gank lowbies, and for 50's to even do it.

    Although under 50's will still be at a disadvantage, they could use the bolster mechanic, so at least they are competitive, perhaps overshoot the bolster, more so than in the warzones, to make them even more competitive.

  6. Hi,

    I'm a PvPer on a PvE server, and not moving now because I'm settled with a PvP guild, I play a Jedi Shadow Infiltration.

    My idea consists of this.

    Each shared planet, contains a battlefield (Open world), so... in no particular order

    -> Tatooine (Not the Rogues Den)

    -> Belsavis

    -> Hoth

    -> Voss

    -> Ilum

    -> Nar Shadaa

    -> Alderaan

    Imperial and Republic can fight over these battlefields to gain control of the planet. There will be a number of objectives required within the battlefield to gain planetary control.

    Once these objectives are controlled, the planet favors the controlling faction.

    There are a lot of disputes as to what the rewards are, mainly because of what was carried out at Ilum. So I suggest convenience and experience rewards are granted, rather than valor and Armour, of course this doesn't exclude those from the equation.

    The Rewards could include;

    5% Experience bonus to the controlling faction

    10 - 30% Off Speeders and other items

    50% off Travel Costs

    A Buff, granted only when on a controlled planet which grants a bonus, like 5% Damage Increase.

    This is just a sketch really, but any suggestive feedback is more than welcomed :)

  7. My bet is most of these people play Hybrid or Kinetic Pha!

    Infiltration is still highly viable, I can often fight two semi-decent players at a given time, swap target to stun then concentrate on the other target.

    My rotation can be some nasty damage too; on a lucky one, I can one string an opponent.

    Spinning Kick - 0.7K

    Shadow Strike - 2.5 - 5.3K

    Clairvoyant Strike (2) - 4K - 5K

    Project - 3.5K - 4.9K

    Breach - 3.8K - 4.9K

    Spinning Strike - 4K - 5.5K

    Just gotta get the rotation right, and use LoS.

  8. My favorite, I was literally in tears with laughter when I saw this cut-scene lmao.

    Sexy Red Twi'lek: (Singing) "Sleep sleep, my little one, sleep like a setting sun, rest your eyes, rest your cries, and I will see you when you rise."

    Brain Damaged Ugly mess of a creature: (Poor attempt at singing) "Trick, Trick, Starships gone mama, all gone."

    Sexy Red Twi'lek: "Hush love, the starships are fine, get some sleep. Well if someone had to find out, I'm glad it was you, you've tracked down our secret weapon."

    Smuggler: "I'm guessing he takes after his dad?"

  9. What they need to do is add a Damage Dealt Reduction on Combat Technique, rather than nerfing its defence, by 10% - 15%, at least then more people would be playing Infiltration perhaps.

    I knew Infiltration was a solo specialization, it's why I prefer it. You can work for the team, for instance in Huttball; get to the opposing team's line, making the path to scoring easier.

  10. I know a lot of you say it's broken, but damn these imps are dropping quick. I may be very easy to kill, but they hardly get the chance cause they're dead before I am.

    Yes mate, the tree is fine as it is, just gotta be patient, when you're on War-Hero, you'll be popping off massive Projects and breaches.

    A lot of people judge it, because when they play it, they die, then cry about it. So you get Hybrids. Stick at Infiltration mate, it's good fun ;)
