  1. Hi there,

I've recently returned to the game, and whilst talking to a friend, I sent a message, of the same construct, three times. I've now been 'squelched' - upon reviewing what this is, I'm a little frustrated that three of the same messages result in a mute.... but hey, any idea how long this very flawed system lasts?

    Kind Regards

  2. the bolster system will nerf the rest of the mods in your mainhand if you mix PvE mods, and Expertise mods in the same piece of gear. the extra stat gains you see are being nerfed incredibly by the bolster system while in PvP, its not worth it. use a pvp barrel.

In all fairness, I'm in the lower tear 'Exhumed' gear, fully geared - bar PvE Hilt. My stats actually get boosted in Warzones, not deducted, and I'm still on 1950 Expertise.

  3. I've been curious for a while as to the viability of using a PvE Hilt instead of a PvP hilt, the 68 Expertise drop isn't really too drastic, and in return you gain 200+ Force Power and extra stat gains. Anyone actually number crunched this? :p
  4. Hello combat team, PvP team, whoever it may concern:

About once a month we at the Ebon Hawk host a guild summit meeting where multiple guilds discuss issues with the goal of improving our server’s community. The guilds involved feel that there is a need for a gear check. We would like to start a petition for a gear check that requires a total of 1900+ expertise for solo ranked war zones.

If you agree that solo ranked should have an expertise requirement sign below!

Cool story bro, needs more dragons and sh*t.

  5. Out of interest, what was your DPS on that game. From what it looks like (with mid not being capped) That's a long game, with poor damage for a lethality sniper.

Additionally, have you considered using a stim? It may help you increase your DPS

  6. I've heard a lot of things about the Lethality / Enginner hybrid spec, but I still know nothing about it? What makes this spec good? Can anyone post the spec for me?

In simple, and plain english. Hybrid Lethality/Engineer sniper has excellent single target and AoE damage. I've not really had the opportunity to use it in PvE, but in PvP it can rack up some satisfying numbers.

    My personal best within PvP was 2.1k dps. Using four attacks;

    - Fragmentation Grenade -> Deals up to 4500 on a critical hit, it can hit up to 5 people, so place it well and that's 7500 - 22500 damage a throw.

    - Corrosive Grenade -> A low cost AoE DoT, when you spec into the DoT after it finishes it becomes a liability to the victim, it can tick a hit of 1200~ on a crit, which grants you a bit of energy to! Cover their entire team in it.

    - Corrosive Dart -> A little more expensive, but still worth using, cover their entire team with it, more dps, more energy no drama.

    - Orbital Strike -> Just a nice chunk of damage

  7. I can't believe it's been this long and BioWare have still failed to fix it lol, I've done three warzones today each of which I got stuck in. Maybe I should stop using it ;).

Either way, sort it BioWare, you useless ***** <3.

  8. Ok so, I have a naga mouse (has numbers 1-12 on the side of it) because of this I have keybinds 1-12, shift 1-12, ctrl+1-12, alt+1-12 (although tbh I don't use ALL of them). Anyway I use WASD for movement, and mouse for camera, and of course mouse for abilities. I have a friend who use to click his hotbars and use arrow keys for movement, and I can tell you, it is so much more inefficient.

In a PVP situation you want to use your abilities when they are avaliable and not have to think about where they are/when you can use them. If you're a half decent PVP'er you can keep a rough estimate in your head of when your CD's come off, then it's just a case of hitting the key that they're bound to.

Really, my recommendation if you want to be picky about this subject, is get a razer naga, and use keybinds. Your reaction time/reflexes will be much better and you will be able to get more out of PVP

Sniper with £64 mouse vs Me with a £5 mouse, I win, £59 saved.

  9. I'm a full on clicking, back pedalling beast, I always outdamage other snipers, even those who keybind, I win one on ones against them and my utility is fine. I'm a casual player though, not a sad-act. So that's probably why.
  10. 10. I misclick the speeder multiple times before I get on it.

    9. I play metal music because it makes me feel like I'm good, however I just end up looking like a bellpiece.

    8. I tried to ninja a node as a stealth and failed because I'm a noob.

    7. I keep getting stunned by nades.

    6. I think bolster makes it unfair on geared players, because I spent 20 days straight grinding and need to get a life.

    5. I never learned to read, I play this game because of the voice story. I keep missing chat in warzones.

    4. I get dumped in defence because I'm just a pile of ****.

    3. I got KO'd by a healer

    2. I keep getting bullied, so I hate trolls

    1. I play smash

    Am I a bad?

Wow, stop taking it out on yourself matey!

    Seems legit.

  11. A- Best reason to "Spit on the Dead" posted in this thread. Folk who insist they only "spit" on players killing lowbies ignore the simple reality that killing lowbies draws interesting competition. This game (regrettably) does not encourage open world pvp. We make it as best we can. I'm not sure spitting on folk does that, but if you see returns, I won't pretend I know better. Kudos for trying to foment open-world scraps!

B- This forum is not a reaction to YOU specifically, is it? Being vulgar and rude to other players is MORE worth your time if anybody bothers to object? You are rudest when other people object to your behavior?

Spiili- I genuinely hope you will respond here. :)

    I spit at everyone.

And no, not to me personally, I just thought, oh!, Interested thread, think I'll have a ganders, low and behold it's something worth putting some input into.

The arguments it causes helps fill up the time if there is any, between PvP, and some fantastic screenshots!

  12. Don't. It does not hurt them, and it makes you look like a weenie. :t_redface:

I spit on people when I kill them, because it usually provokes them enough to rage at me, then I get myself into an E-Argument and my evening commences.

Reactions like this forum thread are a prime example of why I still continue to do it.

    Quality

  13. Now, don't get me wrong, Arena's sound like a laugh, but I think you're missing the point Bioware.

You continuously failed to bring us Season 1 in ranked, why be rid of it? Just leave it as it is, a guild competitive style of PvP, No Drama...

Instead of giving us more content, you're taking it away from us, and giving us something else, keep it, then we have more to do as PvPers.

    *******s.

  14. Hybrid Leth/Eng Sniper is the one to be now, with the huge amount of DoT and AoE Damage, you just chip away at their entire team.

Fragmentation grenade crits for 4.2k at times, that on 5 people is hilarious!

  15. Podracing hasn't been invented yet. We race on Swoop bikes.

Thinner, faster and most volatile. A way better pastime.

Through what I've read, Swoops reached roughly 600kph where as podracers hit up to 900kph.

  16. Hi all, first of all, I have to admit it's a rather ambitious idea, but the concept of it seem great!

    The Podracers.

    _______________

These will be constructed from player made components (Cybertech/Scavenging/Armourmech/Underworld Trading). Looted components (Flashpoints/Operations). And Commendation components (Planetary/Warzone ect).

A player will need to construct his podracer, with varied speed, control (Pitch and Yaw), acceleration and physical look. Obviously other factors may affect it, but that's through a further look into it.

These parts are varied in what they do, the rarer the item the better. I feel on people who have a great deal of money should take part in this sort of competition, not as a dig at people who don't have a lot of money,

but more as a way to save, and add incentive to actually holding on to money.

With parts, adding say for instance a part with more acceleration, will hinder other statistics on the podracer, so it will be about balancing stats.

    The Race

    ________

I'd assume it's possible to impliment this using the mechanic used in space, how ever I'm not sure whether it would be possible to impliment other players into the same 'instance'. It would be a drawn track as it is in space, but there will obviously

guidelines in place to ensure that people aren't going miles off.

There will obviously be hazards on the races.

    Other Mechanics

    _______________

As it will be high-rollers or those who spend a lot of time doing operations/PvP taking part in the race, I feel there should be a betting system in place to give other players who cannot compete a chance to contribute towards it.

A system will be inplace to allow players to gamble their money, with odds involved (Changed depending on the Podracers stats).

What I have trouble with dealing with is ensuring it's competitive, like space there should be abilities which allow players to attempt to slow others, trick or playing dirty.

As I said, a very ambitious idea, but I reckon it'd be great fun!
