Bioware your DNS name resolution?? cdn-patch.swtor.com = a56.d.akami.net = 60.254.148.107 I updated my host file and guess what I went from 12kb a second to 3.5mb a second. Going forward with contact your Akami and get them to correct their setting or fix up you name resolution in your config files. I shouldn't have to change my computer settings every time their is a major patch.

It's interesting the maintenance is 2 days in a row now yes, a major patch just dropped and I hate bug and lag issues too believe me but in retrospect when the game originally launched there was maintenance all the time. They just added 2 new planets, a new talent system and one time Solo flashpoints. That's a massive amount of content and unfortunately a lot to go wrong. I would rather have another maintenance window today than have to wait a week for a potentially game breaking bug to fixed. Yes it's a pain but minus 2 hours for a better experience the rest of this week balances out in my book.

I would go slicing if you want to keep Biochem but you wont the mission skill Diplomacy that goes with biochem. My other suggestion would be Cybertech, Armstech and Scavenging, then you will be able to make greens from the Scavenging in both and will be able to update your armor, barrels and mods as you go. You wont be able to make Blues and Purples without a mission skill.

Welcome back as has been mentioned do the Makeb story line for gear and don't forget to the bolster from the terminals when you get there. Then between story, drops and vendor you should be fine. After that go do the Oricon story for a set of gear. I suggest going with a friend, if possible, to run it faster because the mob density on Oricon is pretty high.

As long as you have a decent CPU and Motherboard supporting latest SATA version you will get a marked increase in Windows boot, and TOR load times. It means you get in the game faster and less time is wasted which is what you want.
