  1. For "special" people here: I HATE the current Green. It must be fixed, as well as other colours! CM won't fix NPCs, wielding sabers with these faulty colour crystals (Green, Yellow, orange).
  2. I think you DO drink after all, since can't see the text in front of your nose, CLEARLY stating that defaultY Advanced Green has FLAWS, and that Green must be Green, not freaken Yellow. So clear your head, turn it on, and try next time to actually READ and WATCH TILL THE END.
  3. Precisely! I RARELY seeing people using Default Advanced Green Crystal You know why, BioWare? Because it looks like s**t, that's why. And those who DO use them, either don't aware, or don't care. In both cases, current version won't be missed as the default colour! Make Green be Green, and what we have now - a craftable alternative named "Yellow-Green". There can't be any "points" and "buts" here - Current Green isn't Green and that's a fact, and must be fixed like "yesterday", when the game launched.
  4. One hardcore troll of a gamer would say something like "Yeah, BioWare. Drop everything and go fix saber colours for these nerds". My response to them: gtfu. In the game with "Star Wars" in it's title, you simply DON'T have excuses to screw up something so iconic and legendary, as Lightsaber! It's visual aesthetic must be nailed perfectly before all the rest! But not for EAWare, since they "Challenge Everything". (Slightly off topic of Viridian, and about Green in general): https://youtu.be/_H4HIMmXrTU - if you care about this, please, let like-minded people know! SWTOR DESERVES visual accuracy and authenticity!
  5. I thought Desert Green is like green from beta (slightly lighter though). Isn't this how "Viridian" should look like (as the reference to KotOR II)? https://t.co/vKiK57LNOb
  6. Thank you for your contribution, Tummiswtor. All this points to one simple truth - Lightsaber Blades Were Screwed After Early Beta. Solid colours were changed for double colours with almost 0% transparency. BioWare REFUSES to fix default sabers since they can't earn money on it directly, so they release the "Fixes" in form of new proper crystals as they were just "options". In truth though, the Overhaul of Lightsaber Dafault Blades would make former and new Star Wars fans to consider subscribing, since the major visual symbol of Star Wars now looks more in line with what they always knew. Details do matter!
  7. I want a system that would allow me to chose what glow effect default lightsabers have in overall game. Yes, with CM items we can have personal customization, but Cartel Market items can't fix NPCs. When running around Corellia I don't want to see these Green Jedi with these buggy broken Yellow-Green sabers, and instead want them all to have the galaxy's standard GREEN Hue Would look like that: Graphics>User Interface>Lightsabers: Default Red Preset: - Default - Imperial Crimson (Beta) - Blood Red Default Blue Preset: - Default - Cloud Blue (Beta) - Farmhand blue Default Green Preset: - Default - Deset Green (Beta) - Mint Green Default Purple Preset: - Default - Derelict Purple (Beta) - Amethyst Etc etc.. This way, before delving into our personal Star Wars saga we can chose the best paring and consistent saber blade choices, not having to worry about cringing in disgust from the look of defaults Green, Yellow, Orange saber blades. So when we interact with, let's say, Arcann, he could have Copper Crystal from the start, which looks more focused and in this sense closer to what we saw in trailers. Or Yudira Ban from Black Talon having Desert Green variant instead of.. whatever she has since launch. If you deny us the overhaul of Default Colour Crystals, to make them look proper, like in early beta, at least give us the means to filter it out on our end so we could fully enjoy the game how WE want.
  8. The fix is long overdue. Cartel Market WON'T fix NPCs sabers, which are very important element of world immersion. Video with detailed comparison:
  9. Addition of Desert Green isn't enough. Since we can't shove the crystal in the hilts of NPC we encounter during story, which are by default equipped with Yellow-Green/ Yellow-Fat/Orange-fat atrocities.. All default lightsaber colours should receive overhaul to the early beta look or better.
  10. .. and everyone will become "Vindicans" and "Vindicanesses". No thanks. SWTOR has the HUGE abundance of classic robe sets and saberstaffs. And such requests as yours for CM releases, is the very thing that keeps those in hopeless and undeserved obscurity.
  11. For "competitive" purposes, as they are now, we could always have current servers. Main thing for SWTOR however, is arguably the storytelling pillar. In Vanilla it could exist in it's purest form, something that for certain players is more then enough. And despite of how rich content is in it's quantity and quality, if one is chewing through it like a gamorrean instead of savouring the content, he/she always be leaving with "stomach aches", unsatisfied and frustrated.. I, however, never had such problems, and be happy to try Vanilla in it's fullest. Yes, I'm biased. And, if there happens to be more people like me, SWTOR Classic would be beneficial for BioWare and EA. Last thing I'd like to add is that often only with passage of time can we truly see the value of things. And so is here, the time will tell.
  12. Yes, it's to early to tell for sure. Just giving something to BioWare for consideration. When I talk to veteran SWTOR players, they define EV, KP, EC as "Classic" operations. So, no reason in holding back those. They miss group levelling at planets and difficulty of flashpoints, where you had to carefully "CC" targets to not be wiped. And, of course, the fact that you had to earn different and cool looking stuff by playing, not directly paying. I'm pretty much up for everything that literally "adds", as long as it doesn't go in expense and balance of existing content, and doesn't "remove".
  13. Sure thing, I understand I don't claim that it would be "the ultimate SWTOR experience", but if maintaining such a server wouldn't be too costly, the option itself to feel the game in it's initial form with all I described in the previous post would be nice. Like a good solid savefile in single player game, to which you can return if not happy about followed development of events since then
  14. That is why I said "at some point in the future", since SWTOR, on the surface hasn't changed that much (and I hope it wont). But what I would like to see back are: - Skill Tree - Base Classes and the interactive choice of advanced training - Many and many original abilities (not screwed up visually to be more PVP-friendly) - Hardcore element (reason for people to group up for planetary quests) - Orange Item drops in Flashpoints and rewards for Class Story - Archetypical classes' outlook - Bonus mission and Heroic 2/4 in their original form - End game Tionese/Columi/Rakata items, including awesome weapons with unique names. - NO breaking visual style's balance Cartel Market. If that means sacrificing all needed/not-needed fluff, so be it. After all, it's called "SWTOR Classic" for a reason.
  15. So, it's official: Vanilla servers for WoW are in the works.. So, how about doing the same with SWTOR at some point in the future? Just for this thing alone I'd subscribe for years. Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia, BioWare! Consider following Blizzard's example. What others think?
  16. After six years - still not fixed. And judging from how "many" replies in this thread are, players here don't care about authenticity at all. /bump
  17. No wonder that this problem hasn't been fixed - only 1 of 9 people are able see the obvious difference. Hopeless case.
  18. SWTOR Today. From a peace of art to visually and stylistically unbalanced CM casino. Feel for you, OP.
  19. To broaden the variety in gameplay, freedom of players' expression through their characters, emphasize on uniqueness.. I suggest: to create a customizable discipline/tree and the pool of abilities for Open World and Story instances only, that could be uniquely applied, giving player the opportunity to assemble his own set of skills, abilities and not be restricted by the class of his character. KotOR-style ability sandbox! - Inquisitor using old school Ravage and performing Force Stasis? Power is yours.. - Or a Trooper that takes cover, while preparing an Orbital Strike? Anything to win. Even lore-wise, the Outlander have been through alot, clashed with many enemies and developed into unique warrior. With the proposed system we could define *how exactly* the character evolved! As it is now, the only means to diversify the experience is by "cosplaying" with CM stuff.., and if you think about money, EA, think of immense CM potential for the proposed system too. Goal is to enhance gaming and role playing experience, with no fear of breaking the balance in Group Content and PVP, and give a MASSIVE replayability qualities to each and every class! Spread the word if you'd like to see that in SWTOR
  20. Signed/ But..: ..Yes, revival of the dead must be handled with caution, and BW isn't too subtle about it (SoR..ugh..). However, let's not forget that originally Malgus was thrown into the abyss, not killed. Latter changes were another service to global streamlining of the game, NOT a plot correction. So Malgus HAVE to return. 1) BW, you return him in significant, meaningful, and not contradicting to his original character, way. 2) You leave this great character dead, and not disgracing his story with quick cash-in attempts in cheap expansions.
  21. Want to roll a vengeful Knight? Imagine your Force Stasis being red, or purple. You'd feel like Kylo Ren! Or maybe you'd like to roll a fallen Consular, resembling Count Dooku? Imagine throwing rocks at your enemies, with your saber in Makashi stance, but instead of traditional Consular's light themed abilities, your Dark Consular has dark side manacing aura around him/her. Suggestion: Make alignment affect force and saber based abilities' visuals. This implementation could create a whole new pillar to SWTOR experience and level of immersion, setting people's imagination free in creating the character, thus expanding their play time and popularity of the game.
  22. /bump A good suggestion! Worthy of immediate implementation. Pity everyone here just don't give a flying f*** about such fine details and rather scream with mouthfuls of saliva for being able to kiss Arcan, or wear Empress' Acina's robes.
  23. You're on the right track! Despite questionable RNG system, 5.0 brought us sets like Vicious Adept, and, more importantly, Tribal Hermit, which is equivalent of Centurion Force Master/Mystic (Republic Version) set, which is no longer available since early days of SWTOR. Tribal Hermit can be obtained in Tier 3 Command packs You've made Jedi players happy! Please, bring the same happiness to us, Imperial players. Add Imperial version of Centurion Force Master/Mystic set to the game!
