  3. Why dont you nerf good players? how bout everyone gets a rating and if your rating is ridiculously higher than the other teams you get a nerf so the gear is so bad they would have to really work to beat bad players? how bout that?

    sounds like a win according to all the QQ here.

    Also if you continue listening to a certain group of sub par players and dont use meters to balance the classes dps properly with competent players behind the wheel then you are gimping your game and it's going to send it in a downward spiral.

     

    currently with 1.2 balance there is only 4 viable competitive pvp classes

     

    tank assassin

    rage marauder

    pyro powertech

    healer sorc

     

    thats it..... none of the other classes matter at all sorry but its true...

     

    so what now you nerf those classes? how bout bringing the other classes on par with THEM instead of nerfing the current best in slot classes?

     

    I don't understand your devs logic at all.....unless its to cater to the worst kind of players the ones that want something without earning it....

  4. The arsenal merc isnt realy nerfed, more a change to give you more rotation freedom, but yeah, bodyguard mercs are getting nerfed the hell out of them.

     

    yes they are litterally 30% estimated or sp dmg reduction because of cast time and dmg nerf

  5. good luck winning alderaan (or novare) with that setup.

     

    near infinite speed boost alderaan and novaire np they will out zerg you any where you go, they will never die and anything they focus is dead in seconds GG

     

    huttball will be easy with 3 pulls and 5 jumps 5 invulnerabilities and infinite speed boost you dont stand a chance at getting the ball and if you do ball carrier dead in seconds no one can heal through the dmg and you wont be able to kill any of the sorcs or marauders unless you MAYBE catch 1 out of position or if he suicide scores in huttball

    nerf class A because class B crappy players cant beat class A because they dont know how to use class B properly to interupt/cc/los or use there own skills properly to deal with class A skills so they ***** whine moan on the forums and gather sheep and trolls to there cause.

     

    It may be elitist but when it comes to class balance you should only listen to the top 10%

     

    the server first guilds

     

    the top pvpers

     

    game developers that are GOOD at the game themselves

     

    these are the only people you should be listening to not these mindless. irrational, illogical scrubs on these forums. and it seems alot of changes coming in patch 1.2 are being focused in on these plainly obvious rantings of scrubs.

     

    I will pose a few examples :

     

    nerf tracer missile......really? mercs are so easy to kill its not even funny with any force user besides a sorc, operative or powertech destroy them completely to the point they really arent even viable for a slot on a serious pvp team

     

    nerf sorc and bh heals......really? last I checked any good coordinated pre-made can easily focus a healer down and cc dps too frieking bad pugs cant there pugs......what do you expect?

     

    buff marauders?.....really really? they dont need a buff at all they already tear down any class 1v1 and are perfect healer killers....already do significant raid dmg

     

    NOT EVERYONE HERE is a scrub there is ALOT ( not enough ) of rational and good ideas here there just drowned out by i dont know any other way to put this but written diarrhea

     

    am I going overboard or does anyone else here agree with me?

  8. Yea but you have to play rated matches to get that gear : ) and being gimped by 100 or so expertise from mods sucks balls going against competitive teams maxed out with shiny new bm gear, my comm drop rate its garbage i wont be able to replace the gear in time for the patch.
  9. The 3 warzones in this game are terrible.

     

    Well PvP is garbage in this game to begin with but thats to be expected with a new MMO. Nevermind the class imbalance/gear gap ect. Games gonna have that at launch regaurdless, my major prob is with the warzones themselves. The design of the 3 warzones are the root of the ****** PvP in this game. Please hire some Devs that have a clue and revamp this ****. Aldaraan its to easy to defend 2 turrents unless a team is full of trolls. Huttball needs a bigger map OR not let people force speed/leap with the ball. Voidstar is the only one that is almost a legit map. But the fact that a team can wipe u when a bomb is planted then just speed ahead to the next one with you stuck in the first respawn is rediculas. Other than that its not bad.

     

    Love to hear back from the comm on your opinions on these warzones from players who pvp alot in better games. For those who wanna troll this cuz they run with 3 other people and win all the time,,,thats kinda the point of my "rant".

     

    Now granted it hard to say this with no real balance in pvp atm with the major class imbalance and gear gap between players but even with equal gear i forsee this being a problem in the future with rated WZs but I guess time will tell. Appreciate the positive feedback whether u agree with me or disagree.

     

    to be honest sounds like your bad at pvp..... regardless of the wz its awsome with a solid team end of story.

  10. I would like a definitive answer about these mods alot of people in my guild are curious as well.

     

    I have full battlemaster gear

     

    I have replaced almost every single mod with champion level mods that dont have accuracy because it was useless....

     

    I did not save i just simply replaced the BM lvl mods cause i didnt want to spent 600k ripping out mods that are useless

     

    will the champion mods give me expertise or will i be forced to rebuy all my bm gear?

     

    If that the case an im forced to do that..... not sure if i will continue playing.

     

    I have hope that thats not the case.... or at least come patch the mod slots will "update" to newer ones regardless of what is in slot now.

    Anyways not a flame post.

     

    At the very least we need a escape. Can't see why this change would not be exceptable.

     

    Cleanse is second on the list.... when you fight a premade of 2 tanks and 2 healers that guard/shield everyone you will understand : ) They will roll you in every warzone except maybe alderaan and even then there zerg will be unstoppable and will roll you everytime they go to take a point so your forced to try and stay ahead of there zerg..good luck with pugs and not having a ful op to coordinate that.

     

    Pyro is NOT top dps for merc..... ROFL for powertechs all day it is it is disgustingly good because they have more utilization of the tree. BH heals are single target and ok for heal botting someone around. You can heal alright Operatives are a far better healing class than bh atm, and sorc circle is pretty key. BH don't really stand out in the healing scheme except for they wear heavy armor.

     

    2 peice t3 rest battlemaster arsenal 5/33/3 is best for pvp atm for merc....don't really care dispute as you wish It's the only way to go for merc dps in wz atm to stand next to the big dogs. I.E. sorc/op/smug/sniper

  12. I have played over 130 levels from beta to now and well over 2000 warzones as a bounty hunter. Played both classes The power tech and the merc to 50 and pvp'd a bit in beta and hardcore in live as mercenary.

     

    The powertech is far superior in every way for pvp. A pyro specced powertech in any occasion does more damage can get more medals easier and generally perform better than an arsenal or pyro specced mercenary. The powertech has more usable escape and cc options and MUCH higher burst than arsenal or pyro merc right off the bat. You can pull people away from objectives or into fires which is far more useful than jet they also generally have higher hp stats and do more aoe than any merc.

     

    What I expect is some balance and after extensive playtime as a mercenary I suggest these changes to be made ASAP.

     

    Electro Dart Cooldown is waaaay too long. This ability needs to be on a 10-15 second cooldown to be really effective and useful. I get that it may be game breaking in pve but I really dont think so.

     

    JET ESCAPE NEEDED *** we have a jetpack and every single "hunter" class in any game has a move away button. Why does the mercenary not have one. Ever watch Clone Wars? Cadd bane is pretty much a mercenary and uses his jetboots to escape jedi melee ALL THE TIME. Get rid of the useless shoulder charge and replace with a jet pack escape of at least 15 meters extended by talents that is called JET ESCAPE mercenaries would be on even ground with melee and powertechs if we have these options.

     

    Cleanse NEEDS to be able to remove GUARD and SHIELD off enemies, all you need is a few juggernaughts/guardians and 2 or more healers and they are unkillable you will never be able to take them down ever in an 8 on 8 situation. You will see this in rated warzones. You wont be able to kill them. And is unbalanced as all hell. This should be a talent for the healer tree at least and placed on a higher cooldown if given to all specs.

     

    I am not complaining about damage. Mercs left to there devices are deadly...but if a smart team has any sense they will focus you down instantly. Merc Arsenal is the way to go or healer / arsenal hybrid. ATM pyro is garbage. You cannot effectively dot kite like the tree looks to be intended to do without better escape options.

     

    Please I can't be the only one who thinks these are smart and relevant changes that NEED to made. Please support me in this cause to bioware to send some love our way.

    Swtor is a game with bugs, that will eventually be fixed.....eventually. Don't even get me started on the inbalances in the original guild wars...or wow. There were things that needed fixing from the get go that did not get fixed for about 8 months AFTER launch.

     

    1. This game is in it's infancy still I'm looking forward to watching it grow.

     

    2. The whole fantasy mmo thing is pretty damn played out.

     

    3. PvP is only a part of the game....idc what anyone says the meat and potatoes is in the guild participation and what you do with your guild pvp and pve that is what makes it awsome.

     

    4. Tournaments breed elitism enjoy nerdrage? go for it. enjoy your empty servers. theres a game called crimecraft that this problem was proven. I'll enjoy ranked warzones

    and whatnot when they come. I am sure that competitive niche will be filled there.

     

    5. Wild expectations aside i didnt expect everything to be awsome from the get go and quite frankly its unrealistic to think any developer will make a flawless mmo it's just to large of a project. If every game company collaberated for 10 years + to make an mmo then I would expect a flawless mmo.

     

    6. Anything EA touches has the stink of corporatism everything that is wrong with this game should be pinned on them.

  14. Nerf Sorc and Sage period!!!!!! if i have to make poll everyone who does not play one will say that they are ridiculously op.

     

    Heres how to fix.

     

    bubble cd LONGER and lasts HALF as long should be an escape ability not a tanking one unless your specced into assasin tank then it should be given longer lasting properties.

     

    OMGWTF STUN.... . I play a pyro specced merc hunter and there is no way to beat a sorc that knows his class 1v1 its impossible. Remove the stun/slow effect from force lightning/pebbles over 30% hp channeled ability all together it is so op its not even funny.

     

    The interupt stun should have to be specced into and given a much longer cd....not given as a base class ability.

     

    there is a pvp guild of all consulars that we play against on our server they are unbeatable no on can beat them....every night same thing its impossible to get daily done unless i wake up early before work.

     

    I thought id never say it after playing a warlock sine vanilla..... but this class is unbalanced and needs a nerf badly in this game.

  15. Very well written and polite OP. However, it sounds like you just described WoW after it's initial release (minus the zones on rails... WoW didn't have that issue imo).

     

    Nearly every MMO I've played (and I've been playing since EQ), has suffered a poor release. Most of the time there are AWFUL bugs, little endgame content, extremely unbalanced classes, and just a general beta feeling.

     

    Sadly, many players were introduced to MMO's by WoW and started playing WoW long after it's initial release. Thus they assume all MMO's should be as polished and as content rich as WoW is now.

     

    It shocks me how pissy people are getting over TOR's problems, because nearly ALL of it's problems are basically expected of an MMO at release.

     

    100% agree and this is it right there.

  16. Was critting for 4214 with 5 heat sigs in blue 50 pvp gear with rail shot....not too mention higher 3500 heat seakers with the power up this convo is mute though. Sorcs i think just need to be even more squoshyif they have access to as much cc as they do. Cut there hp 1/4 and they can crit that hard and cc without being invincible like they seem at high lvls.
  17. For those of you spouting the "well they said you could play UP TO 5 days early, stop whining" They also didn't say that people could play up to 7 days early either. Anyone here who was invited the first few days, would be feeling the same way if other players were allowed into game prior to you.

     

    It's not even about how many days I get, I wouldn't care if it was only 2 days EA, but the fact of the matter is that 95-97% of the community is in game currently - There is such a small minuscule amount of players sitting on the outside looking in tonight that it's honestly stupid that they don't just invite the rest of the pre-orders to play prior to the maint. tonight.

     

    What is the issue with letting these players in? The fact is there isn't one, except for customer negligence. This is the true issue here.

     

    Games like this are competitive by nature, people are rushing to 50 in the aspirations of being US or World top whatever, playing with their guildies, leveling with their guildies, and this prohibits that to an extent. Anyone who pre-ordered should've had the same "even" playing field.

     

    If they wanted to give an advantage to those players who pre-ordered earlier, the only type of advantage they should've recieved was selecting character names, thats it, not literal game advantages such as leveling headstarts.

     

    I know that 90% of people who read this post will not agree, but in the famous words of Clark Gable, Frankly my dear I don't give a damn.

    Some premades are made for loot just as some raids are made for loot, others are made because the players like a challenge/achivement. However, if you are making a premade for the challenge, then there is no reason to oppose a premade vs premade only queue. Since the idea behind a premade vs premade match in this case would be quality over quantity so to speak.

     

    too bad they have not implemented that yet....they will when there are more max lvl or lose there pvp players to a different game.

     

    opinion: personally raid to get gear....not to be in a social group...I get mad and will flame keyboard turners...people who cant avoid flames or simple obstacles do really bad dps for there class ect....Generally all of the above happens untill you find other players that dont suck group with them , form a guild with them and then eventually take on raids and other players that dont suck in arenas or bgs. This is the life of the "results" players.....

    Im glad they did this stops chinese gold farmers........well slows them down cause you know they will be in game at launch.
