  1. Heck, why not? Could be fun. Character Name: Marokk Level: 55 Faction: Imperial Class: Sorcerer Specialization: Madness, always(unless I decide to go and mend someones broken bones) Your Age: 24 Mic: Yes Time Zone: EST
  2. Press the PrintScreen button. To remove the UI for a fullscreen shot press ALT+Z.
  3. I mostly see it as the "Hermit that lives in a cave" sorta look, (like a Jedi in Exile or something similar) and in my case, on Hoth or iLum judging from the colors. But you are correct it's not the sort of look a Consular should use, since they are considered Diplomats and Teachers of Philosophy and the Force. Personally I like it myself, since the alternative is horrifying on a Male character. Also I don't have a problem with BlackCore crystals, they just need more variants of colors which they are adding with the next content patch thankfully.

  5. Found some more good screen locations. My Jedi Shadow meditating in front of a Datacron surrounded by Mystics in the Spirit World on Voss. http://i.imgur.com/qYHz0.jpg This one I had fun with trying to get it right. Meditating in front of the the Datacron in the Shine of Healing on Voss. http://i.imgur.com/VJKbO.jpg (What can possibly go wrong) "OH SHI-" http://i.imgur.com/Jse3g.jpg "Ouch" http://i.imgur.com/DeS4E.jpg "I meant to do that. 6. Suddenly, all our armor is Medium Rating, all our attacks do Internal Damage, and we have the Armor Penetration that Operatives and Scoundrels had Pre Nerf. (ST Inf spec only) Or completely the opposite, they just remove the Shadow Class entirely, so its just Sage's everywhere spaming pebble storm at everything and die b/c they forgot to hit the heal button.
  7. I don't like sounding as the bad guy so I do apologize for that in my other posts and for this one to, but there is nothing wrong with the Survivability of a 33/8 spec or any other Deep Inf spec Shadow such as 5/33/3 which was good for the Armor Penetration before they ninja'd that one Skill(forget its name) which I originally was. I don't know of any Inf Shadow that uses Shadow Veil not even myself as we would loose out on DMG with it. As someone else said in this thread, it's a much larger difference b/w a good Inf Shadow, and a Bad one. There is a tiny bit of leeway in the middle but its not much and a gap b/w that and being good at Inf is still quite large. I don't know how long you played as a Inf Shadow but if it was only for a few days, thats basically not even trying to understand the class, it takes time which I know there is a lot of things that prevent that. It seems to me that your forte is Tanking though, so stick with that. Your purpose is to irritate and annoy the enemy like crazy until help arrives. You control the mass of enemies by CCing and preventing casts when you can so that the burst DPS like Inf Shadows and Scoundrels(don't know their DPS spec) can take out the other squishies from behind/sides. And to toss guard around to whoever needs it. I myself am terrible at anything other than a DPS, I'm an OK healer sometimes b/c I worked at it to get better but it took time and I despise Tanking with a passion. It's great if others do it but I have always hated Tanking in any game I played(WAR, SWG but there wasn't a real "tank" class with that, Aion<- I wanted to shoot myself after playing that) In short, know what your strengths and weaknesses are. If you still want to try and play as a deep Inf spec Shadow, go for it, but don't complain about lack of survivability when there is plenty of it. I don't like saying it but it is exactly as it is, learn to play as an Inf spec, a good one at that, before going off on a rant about it. No amount of reading guides and watching videos of others doing it can help, you are gona have to experience and learn for yourself on how to do it as that is what ever other person has done.
  8. basically what im reading from your post is you are terrible as anything but a Tank and b/c someone else is great at being a DPS you call BS on them am I correct? I have full Champ Stalker armor/Champ weapon(need 2 more comms for the BM one) and BM IMplants/earpiece and BM Relics, so the only thing i can understand is you are terrible at playing Inf shadow. Im sorry but theres nothing anyone can say or do that can help you then.
  9. Speaking as a 33/8 Inf Shadow, I personally have never had problems with survivability, and have never used anything other than Shadow Technique. I don't Open World PvP on iLum that often unless its for the Weekly/Daily but even then I still never have problems, can usually kill almost all players, including Healers and Tanks with still half my health bar left over. Now in Warzones which I do every day, I still never have problems. Going over what everyone else always says/does, yes pick you targets, when to fight, when to run. Those all count and I usually do all those fine, I die maybe 2-3 times a WZ depending if im up against a Premade or not which would probably be more then that if it is a PRem. I usually get top 2 in DPS and Kills/Deathblows, usually first if im not against a Premade. AND I always solo que, since my guild(friends) hate the PvP in this game, which I can understand. Personally I don't "Stance Dance" or use any other Technique ever other then ST which im specd into so the changes in 1.1.2 have absolutely 0 effect and I do excellent in PvP and PvE(which I dont do often). Since I have never been anything other then Inf I cant say much of anything about Kinetic/Balance spec but I have gone against Assassin's in their Tank/Balance spec(dont remember what its called) and them doing anything to me in terms of damage is like hitting a brick wall with a feather duster, and some of them i know for a fact have full CHamp with some Battlemaster gear and I still melt them like butter so gear is not the issue. So, the bottom line, the "nerf" to Hybrid spec affecting Inf as well, has 0 bearing on it. If you are terrible at just plain Burst DPS and dont know how to survive as a Inf Shadow using ST, stay the Tank spec. At least you can be a meat shield and guard the healers.
  10. You deserve a medal for that, well done sir. http://i.imgur.com/hVxcT.gif
  11. Decided to take more screenshots, thought trying to do a cinematic sorta fight in an Esseles run would look nice so I went on a solo run. Here's defending myself from a blaster shot from IronFist. http://i.imgur.com/X3I7D.jpg After boarding Kilran's ship and trying to disable the tractor beam by throwing pebbles at a massive droid. http://i.imgur.com/rp8Jx.jpg And I tried for a Duel of the Fate's sorta feel here against Vokk, took a few times of spamming to get the shot I wanted. http://i.imgur.com/clGCB.jpg Trying to find more good quality screenshot locations. Will post if I find more.

  13. As a fellow Infiltration Shadow I believe I can assist in some way to help you. Yes, a definite must is to use "Force Slow" in all aspects of PvP, it stops other Melee classes from jumping and moving around so much so that we can position ourselves to use "Shadow Strike" when the buff is up. I personally am Stealth'd about 90% of the time while roaming on iLum for kills and in WZ's, when in stealth I can pop off all my buff abilities and since they don't remove me from stealth (except Adrenals which do remove stealth) I can usually use "Spinning Strike" or "Clairvoyant Strike" x2 as my opener and put "Force Slow" on them. By the time CS has hit twice I can usually hit "Project" off for a good 2.5-3k Dmg w/o a Crit from it and if "Exit Strategy" has at least built up to maybe 3 or 4 that's at least another 3-4k Dmg, in total usually Half give or take of what the max HP players have unless they are Tank's which I try to stay away from. Now if you are attacked first and say stunned in anyway, usually by an Operative as it happens with me, I break the stun and use "Resilience" to remove the DoT they put on me and "Force Cloak" out to buff up and come back and repeat what I usually do when I come out of stealth. One thing I personally have noticed but not sure if others have as well, is "Force Stunning" an enemy will sometimes cause a graphic glitch in which they might either be in a different location than they actually are, or they will be facing a different direction then what you see on your screen which can cause MUCH frustration with Shadow Strike not working.
