  1. aye, same thing here. so it's affecting both EU and US, looks like.
  2. exact same issue here - got the title and coins for the achievement but can't use the Darth Hexid unlock item, the game saying I already have it (which I'm sure I don't)
  3. Eleora, the red Eclipse - same thing, FWIW
  4. so looks like we're getting another 10-hours offline? I mean I get that technical problems happen but this is borderline ridiculous.
  5. Third row, last but one from the left. What's that? Looks p. cool.
  6. DF is supposedly the better of the two dps trees, albeit it suffers in fights with frequent target switching and can be pretty annoying to manage in a large op group where there's other smugglers throwing their dots on the boss. Tracking your own among a crowd of identical debuff icons can be tricky.
  7. My bad, sorry. For some reason I read "pve" in your post as "pvp." Brain fart.
  8. 2 sec root on tendon blast is our mid-range gap closer - and, p. much, the only one we have. To not use it is poor play.
  9. Quickshot is the exact same model, too, only sans the holoscreen thingie. And I guess it's not a bad thing, two screens would look silly and be a bit unwieldy. That said, two Black Nebulas would be great for (if only) one thing: the shooting sound.
  10. The typical "sweet spot" for surge is at around 75%, that is exactly five pieces of end-game gear. The optimal crit value seems to be around 35% w/o stim, maybe a bit more for sharpshooters. As far as augments go, you want cunning in most slots, maybe some power as well if your crit % is high enough already. As to aim, you shouldn't ever gear for it, but nothing says you can't get the appropriate datacrons, after all they do add to your ranged damage and crit chance, and as a dps you want to squeeze out as much hurt as possible.
  11. Everyone, please meet Jetro Hawksmoor, adept field medic and brilliant pilot. Here's Jetro having a few harsh words with a training dummy. http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc436/datrollcommando/Screenshot_2012-11-08_14_29_01_823520.jpg And here's some closeups on the armour the poster above was asking about. It's a [Prototype] TD-02B Combat Jacket, a purple-quality level 14 world drop. I've seen exactly two on auction on my server, luckily I got one of them crazy cheap, they usually go for upwards of 200k credits. http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc436/datrollcommando/Screenshot_2012-11-08_14_35_47_086700.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc436/datrollcommando/Screenshot_2012-11-08_14_36_30_035156.jpg
  12. This is a good approach, though I came to the conclusion that dropping alacity to gain surge even for raid healing won't net much total healing in the end. Increasing surge by, say, 1.5% means that roughly 35-40% of your heals (depending on your crit chance) will be a whopping 1.5% bigger. Meanwhile, alacrity gives you a consistent cast speed increase on all cast-time heals, and also helps your energy regen by speeding up DS.
  13. The fact that person stacks power has nothing to do with how much alacrity they have, as was stated in the post above. If you ask me, choosing either surge or alacrity after you've hit 75% surge and begun to run into DR is purely a matter of preference and doesn't affect your healing in any significant way. Myself, I go with 285 of each (that's 5 pieces 57 rating a pop). It amounts to almost 76% surge and around 1.7 sec cast time on UWM.
  14. Torhead search returns two items called Hylo Visz's Sidearm, but so far I've only seen the heavy-looking one as an actual item in-game. I'm suspecting it was supposed to look different for Rep/Imp crafters? Anyways, there is a gun with the other, lighter model, its name is C-400 Spec Ops Saboteur. It's a lv 47-ish world drop, there's usually a couple of them on the GTN. Bear in mind its base mods are aim ones.
  15. It's an Armstech craftable, just ask around. Needs three biometric crystal alloys (you know, the mat from end bosses in HM flashpoints) so have those prepared. On topic, I use this baby on my sawbones, looks a lot like some kind of old-school .357 magnum revolver. Farmed Athiss end boss several times at level 50 just to get it. http://www.torhead.com/item/48r16fb/athiss-sawboness-blaster-pistol Works well with a scrapper too, I imagine, looks heavy enough for all those pistol whips.
  16. I usually manage to be in the top three damage done, oftentimes even #1, even if I'm about 150k (sic!) behind what I used to do with AS. I usually clock in at between 250 and 300k in a non-Voidstar battle (add another 80-100k in Voidstar) depending on the setup and situation. As AS, my personal best was 620k in Voidstar, but on average and in a "normal" warzone I did around 400-450k. I believe I could dish out some more if not for the fact I have a sort of reputation on my server for melting people's faces a bit too often () and everyone that recognises me typically gangs up on me as prio. And pvp healers are in short supply on the server... I tried out pure Tactics, but after having a taste of the amazing array of possibilities Storm gives, anything without said Storm feels like a coal wagon in comparison.
  17. I've been running around with this spec I came up with. I use pure dps gear save the shield generator to benefit from the extra cell every now and then. One thing you should keep in mind: This is NOT a pvp tank spec! Sure, it uses Ion cell and has massive flat damage reduction (looking at 53.5% in full WH dps gear), but you shouldn't try to play hero and rush into the thickest battles - be mindful how you use guard as well. Don't shy away from using it, especially if you got a healer buddy with you, but always keep in mind you're way squishier than a pure tank. Here's what it looks like: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801hRGrboroZMsrro0c.2 The first thing you'll notice is how efficient it is against casters. It has four ways to interrupt (Storm, Riot Strike on a VERY short CD, Neural Surge and Cryo Grenade), two gap closers (Storm again and 'Poon on a shorter cd), decent burst (HIB still crits for some 2.8k on full WH geared heavy armour targets) and decent sustained damage due to fully buffed Gut. Sure, it packs less punch than AS, but (especially after 1.4) it makes up for it with amazing mobility, a 30m grenade (suck it, AS!) and much more control over the field. The biggest downside I've noticed is that in more crowded fights, your ammo tends to run scarce quickly, since without tanking gear your regen from shielding isn't that consistent. But in smaller scenarios, you shouldn't have much trouble if you play it right. Feel free to sling mud at it, all comments will be appreciated.
