  1. woah ok maybe i did word it kind of wrong after your post. maybe i should have read yours more thoroughly i dont want instance lock threat. I have seen other people on other threads say "they should just make it like wow" and i think you and i agree that would be very bad. my bad on this maybe i was misleading. let me be clear, I DO NOT WANT tanking to be faceroll. I just want it to be even or if we are suppose to be better single target tanks then make us better single target tanks. Losing aggro during a key boss mechanic could wipe a raid. And your right with the way enrage timers are asking a dps to throttle back should not be a viable answer. Lets hope we keep this thread going, and hope we see some attention some time soon.
  2. I agree i already have for the most part. I show up to the occasional Guild NM/HM raid i main tank some times other times i OT. Then i log. I normally play my sniper or i play the GTN for a few minutes or a hour then i log and play League of Legends or Skyrim. I have posted numerous times in these forums. i have started Massive threads with thousands of views. no answers. at this point even a yellow post of "We are working on the issue" would be nice just to see progress. I certanly hope they fix this or i may find that the lack of customer service is not worth my $15 a month......
  3. Yea i think in general most of us do not want a garuanteed threat lock on mobs. just maybe higher damage or higher threat %'s. I think the easiest buff would be a boost to Soresu but many others in this thread have put forth idea's as well. i tanked in other MMO's like WoW and i also would hate if they went that way and gave us %6000 threat as well. it shouldnt be that easy.... Just slightly easier, to bring us in line with the Assasins, and Powertechs of the world.

  5. I would love if a Dev visited our post here. Even if it was just a standard "we are aware of this" or even a "working as intended". they moved this post which means they must have seen it, but they haven't commented on it. to me the lack of communication is annoying at best....
  6. Im happy to see some discussion regarding this topic. I think would be a good start, it may even fix some of our threat issue's. Doing more damage would help us gain more threat. So if i cant have my way of just boosting our stance or making a different ability gen more threat then i could concede to a damage increase on all of our abilities.

Please look for my post, and bump it, or post your own input. Under "General" "Juggernaut/Guardian tanks Could use a buff" is the title of the thread. it seems the Dev's reply there and if we get enough posts they may even read it.   9. Again this is like the 5 millionth thread with comments about juggy tanks and threat. I have played Tank on my Juggy from level 1. I am the MT for my guild Hardmode Progression runs. Our DPS IS CRAZY GOOD and also great to take direction. I have stuck with mainly my Solid Immortal build since day 1. I have a solid grip of each boss mechanic and what exactly my rotation and consumable should look like. So lets for example take away the human problem and assume we all know how to play our characters. (pss i know this isnt the case for everyone.) I believe that Juggernauts need a threat boost. The other tanks in my guild agree with this, and are shocked we have not recieved one. The DPS in my raid are shocked Juggernauts have not seen a boost. I can only hope with them re-working Assassins that EVENTUALLY BioWare will read the 5 million some odd complaints on the Juggernaut forum from geared raiders and do something about it. I believe that buff our tanking stances base threat is a great idea. Another idea i put forth in another thread was to add a Threat Mod to Sundering Assault or Retaliation. At this point in time im less worried about tank damage to a degree i think as raids progress its something they will have to address. or you may have guild's telling Juggies they cant raid because they hit enrage timers. Juggernaut tanks do need a buff to our threat i would say at this point its a given. if i had know our threat would be this bad i would have picked a different class....

  11. As much as i hate that this has turned into trolling..... two can play this game. and this was also said about the same post you linked in this section.... This game may have a different mechnic on a few things but the basic role of a "Tank", "DPS", and "Healer" has been established in this game. The "Trinity" as it were has been embraced by BioWare. Thats Why there talent tree even use these designations. Thats also as level 10 they even put them in the mini explanations of each advanced class's options and roles..... SO by definition your arguements are invalid. I would assume you dont actually play this class you just troll the forums. I would like to see a Dev from BioWare or someone join us on this discussion so we could ask the right questions and maybe have a open dialougue about what they expect and what we expect. it seems that while there are about 6 of you in the juggernaut Forum who dont agree their are 6000 or so of us that do, including healers and comments made in other forums. I dont think any of us want to just be handed instant threat forever we just want a slight increase to make holding aggro effective and consistently possible as long as your "Doing your job" This is something that dang near every other tank class can achieve and with reasonable ease by comparison. Soamminmg taunt, then our aoe taunt cant be what they had in mind (or other tanks would have to do this as well). having our DPS wait 5 seconds cant be what they had in mind (if this was the case enrage timers would be longer and fights spread out longer). Its simple whether its our stance, or lowering the CD on our threat producing mechnic to something more in line with other tanks like Assasins/BH, or moving it to another ability like a Proc (retaliation) something should be done to balance the class. Its really just a minor fix. if you are curious: Assasin: (Has 2) Force Pull Instant Cooldown: 45s Range: 30 m Uses the Force to draw the target in, instantly pulling it to your location and generating a high amount of threat. Does not work against targets in cover. Wither Instant Force: 30 Cooldown: 7.5s Range: 10 m Causes up to 5 targets to wither under the weight of the Force, dealing 463 kinetic damage, decreasing the damage all targets deal by 5%, and slowing the movement speed of all targets by 30%. This ability generates a high amount of threat. Lasts 15 seconds. Bounty Hunter: Grapple Instant Cooldown: 45s Range: 30 m Fires a grapple line that pulls the target to the Bounty Hunter and generates a high amount of threat. Cannot be used on targets in cover. Juggernaut: Backhand Instant Cooldown: 60s Range: 4 m Bashes the target for 631 kinetic damage, stunning it for 4 seconds. This ability generates a high amount of threat.
  12. and These should not be required though. The Point i think me and the OP are making is that other tanks dont need to rotate their taunts like this to keep threat. Its not a fix to just rotate taunt into your priorities/rotation, because if you need one of your taunts and its not there, your are going to be in trouble.... We should be atleast the equal of other tanks when it comes to single target.
  13. OK so he has it wrong as well. i will also point out he doesn't show his sources or offer a link to prove that is how the mechanic works. The tool tip is pretty clear.....
  14. Taunt Instant Cooldown: 15s Range: 30 m Taunts the target, forcing it to attack the Warrior for 6 seconds. Player targets deal 30% less damage when attacking anyone other than you. Lasts 6 seconds. taunt does not give you bonus threat nor does it increase your threat Nor does it put you over the person you taunted from Please play the class before you comment in its thread. Just saying.
