Pandabutt I liked your post. I actually think the same about the nerf mob but if BW don't show us that they will THINK properly next time and will FIX what they BROKE I won't believe in them. If fact I unsuscribed, sent complains and requested my money back to Origin. Money is, in the end, the only thing they will give attention..

No. Slicing is broken. But the fact is BW wants you to do biochem, not Slicing.

The millions came from the abusers ( that should have been BANNED ) who were sending their companions continuously on 5-6 characters. You can make one JK with 3 companions ( 1 with +2 Crit Slicing ) per day. THATS WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE FIXED. Of course they didnt remove the money, nor the mounts, items and all the **** bought with those credits... but BW didn't remove the money for the stacking exploit recently fixed that put BILLIONS into the system for certain guilds/players. So they obviously don't care a ****.

3 companions, one with +1 Crit Slicing and 8500 affection. I got three purple missions ( 2x investigation, 1x diplomacy ) after 9 hours of real time. Make numbers.

Slicing is broken. Don't pay attention to anything else anyone says anytime.

The damage is already done. The trust on the Dev team has sink like a hammer in the sea. Now it IS time for BW to be humble, restore Slicing and FIX the problem without killing the skill. And we would love some apologies too.

I suppose you already know but for the 'greater good' I will explain what happened with Slicing. Slicing was a wonderful skill that allowed those without crafting interest or TIME to get cash. Then some evil abusers started leveling alters and sending them continuously on slicing missions. Switching between alters continuously allowed them to make a lot of money very fast and very easily. Regular players discovered the abuse and reported it. Then BW did his very first fail. NERF Slicing. Instead of BANNING or removing the cash they decided to be easier to make the skill that bad that people would stop using it. Instead of FIXING the problem by disallowing tradeskills to 'work' while the character was not online they destroyed a wonderful and really useful tool. Instead of making the best they did the worst. And that's not all... After nerfing the Slicing missions they decided to nerf the gathering nodes. We also noticed a ninjanerf ( a hidden nerf ) in which the Slicing nodes respawn half as fast as the rest of gathering nodes. Halved and Slowed. Like a Boss. And.. well.. here we are. Claiming for a true FIX and the restore/buff/improve/balance of Slicing. Ty for reading. xD

I'm on the Republic side, and half the missions that are profitable are not on my list.

Try using bioanalisis to gather mats for biochem. You'll see the profits overflowing. Gathering skills provide mats. Slicing provide credits. If you sell the mats or use them for crafting you will get far more profit that running slicing missions. If you farm Nodes is the same. Also remember that Slicing nodes got nerfed too. There are less and respawn slower. No offense taken. At least you argumented your opinion instead. Not like many others. Too much work. It was easy to broke one skill and make the QQers happy than to actually find a working solution to make all of us happy. Problem is those QQers did too much noise and the 'masses' started to believe their rant.

I've been doing quite a profit with UWT. My companions has high affection and that might help.

Problem there is as the nodes and its respawn time got nerfed too it IS more profitable to farm any other gathering skill. The crit proc is really, really rare ( meaning a crit on your crit, aka BLUE box )

Wrong. The prices are low because Augments are useless. Stop whining, BW already killed Slicing. Leave it rest in peace.
