  1. Yeah. Tab also cleared your target if nothing was in range which was nice for self buffs, heals and such. So you NEVER needed any other key. Of course you picked targets with your mouse in the start of fights though. Mouselook (locked mouse cursor - as in, you don't have to torture your right mouse button) + DAoC tab target = win!
  2. Agree that tab targeting sucks in SWTOR (and many newer generation MMO's as well). In SWTOR it's alot because of LoS. Never played a game where tab target REQUIRES you to have LoS to your target. I use tab target to cycle through available soft targets at least, more than just target and use an ability which needs LoS, which is not possible in SWTOR. The best implemented tab target ever = DAoC. Tab target once = targets nearest available in a 360 degree circle. Tab target consecutively = targets nearest available and then outward for each target. Tab target and then wait ~0.5s -> tab target again = target closest target and then target closest target again. There was NO need for "Target nearest enemy" AND "Target next enemy", same key did both and was very intuitive.
  3. I wholeheartedly agree. It isn't needed and it does nothing to actually improve ANY MMO-game. Looking at WoW when you create a pvp-system is really like looking at a LeCar when you're trying to build a Ferrarri. Instead, hire people that actually know something about having a successful PvP-system. Early DAoC, UO, Darkfall-devs for example. BW: We know you don't actually care about the PvP. If you did you would have put some work into it instead of these half-assed and derelict shortcuts. I'm of course talking about the tears-in-your-eyes piece of crap World PvP and instanced yay-I'm-grinding-like-a-korean Warzones. Get someone with vision and creativity. Why did people play year in and year out of only PvP'ing in DAoC, e.g.? It was fun as hell, competitive, rewarding no matter if you played premade groups or just zerged keeps and it had MEANING! /sighs
  4. Agree. Let peoples skill, group setups and teamplay decide fights. Not consumables. This is not Diablo.
  5. Nooooooo. What the hell. Instancing, cross-realm pvp, no world pvp...soon there's no reason to call games MMO's. Please abstain from this future decision and tell your development team to want something better for this game. How about really sitting down and working on a fully functional, rewarding and fun realm vs. realm pvp-system? I guess you want the easy 'fixes'. But with the easy fixes comes the bad consequences!
  6. 2/10, no rewards for killing players in world pvp is so lame. Instanced pvp is boring *** ****. Grind grind grind...zzzz. When are devs gonna incorporate their beloved roleplaying story elements to the actual pvp. Look at DAoC and get a grip already.
  7. Crazy OP damage. No class should be able to annihilate another player (~12k hp) in a couple of seconds. No point in having healers with that damage. I can at best heal for 3-4k hp in 2+ seconds, no way am I or even 2 healers able to heal someone with a scoundrel/smuggler on him.
  8. What the fu...this needs to be fixed immediately. World PvP is essential to a MMO's fun factor and longevity. I know people are looking to WoW and see how successful it is by just having boring repetitive instances but it's NOT something to strive for. Break this damned boring cycle already. Nothing can beat the feeling of running around with your group in an open world, never knowing what to expect, adjusting your tactics for every encounter and fighting to the bitter end!
