  1. Yeah, I was kind of hoping way back that you could. There are plenty of opportunities that pop up where you could, and it would add replay value IMO. I think it would be quite awesome to have the opportunity to switch sides, but that would also require a ton of work. Balancing for one. So you're a Sith Inquisitor or Warrior; all of your rage/lightning based abilities but now you defect and go all good guy and try to join the Jedi! Do you keep all the rage/lightning abilities or do you miraculously transform into the Knight/Consular equivalent? Do you not allow the force users to solve the problems like that? Okay. That'd probably be easier, but they'd feel left out and just as upset as not having the opportunity. Especially since there are clear opportunities in the storyline that would push you towards that route (depending on how you play your character) But you then also need to write an entire story up for the people that choose to defect and those that don't. Switching sides would drastically change the current story lines in place. I'd like it a lot, but I think it may be too late for it.
  2. Like a few others said it's not that people were no longer being born force sensitive it's that they were basically illegal under the rule of the Empire. They were generally killed or they simply lived without any idea they were force sensitive. Most force sensitive don't really know they are, they are just more capable in certain ways than normal people (Examples being heightened reflexes, intelligence, etc). That being said; with the death of Palpatine they'd be free again to start training force sensitives as Jedi. I believe the next trilogy is supposed to start ~20 to 30 years after A New Hope so there is plenty of time for Luke to begin a new Jedi Order.
  3. I find it weird that it went that way with you too; especially if you're exiting/re-entering conversations just to get affection with her. I maxed out my affection with Jaessa by level ~40 without gifts. On my BH my affection with Mako is also 4,000+ and he's only level 24. Granted Mako is your first companion and you don't get Jaessa for a while, but still it went rather quickly for me. I also find it a bit difficult to get to know all of your companions. I fall into the primarily use one companion through the story classification. It was all Vette until I got Jaessa then all Jaessa. I kind of wanted to use Quinn just for the heals to grind 48-50 faster, but fell into the "he's way too undergeared to be effective right now" situation. Vette and Jaessa are awesome, Broonmark is pretty cool, but Quinn/Pierce aren't my favorite. Not poor characters, just not my style. For the Knight it is Kira all the way. She's just my kind of girl; love her personality. I also like T7 a lot; the hardy little droid companion. Haven't gotten too attached to anyone in my IA's story so far as I'm going lightside Agent and Kaliyo just wants me to kill and rob everyone. And I basically have just been sticking with Kaliyo. So far Mako is probably my favorite female companion. She's just awesome. I could go on about basically any class of which companion I like the most at the moment, but I've gotten most of the classes only to ~30ish so it's a bit of a skewed opinion for most of them. SW, JK, IA, and BH I've gotten furthest as (or finished) so that's my opinion on it! Almost wish I could have two companions with me just to increase the amount of story and connection with my companions, but that is obviously a bit much for a MMO.
  4. Basically this. The moment that SoB took off with my ship I wanted to hunt that ***** down and help him take a long, relaxing walk off the side of a cliff. And then shoot him a couple of times; JUST to make sure. I haven't finished the Smuggler story yet, but that definitely got me into it. I had a bit of a hard time getting too involved in the story AFTER getting my ship back (it drops off into a bit of a lull around Taris IMO). I didn't feel weird getting back onto my 'old' ship; I felt accomplished. It's all a matter of perspective really, but if you were expecting to be EXACTLY like Han Solo you were expecting the wrong thing. I can see the possibility of being a smuggler trying to get your first ship. Starting out as doing planet-side cross-customs smuggling on the planet then moving on and getting your own ship, etc. That could have worked maybe, but with the way the game is set-up it just seems to flow better this way. It just fits.
