  1. Have to agree, the armor progression seemed decent and reasonable. But I assume during some meeting along the way someone came in and said "we need to wow this **** up" and so it was..
  2. Is anyone planning a star wars mod for this game?
  3. One of the games major issues, as most people can agree, is the huge imbalance of Republic and Empire players. Below I'm offering an easy system that doesn't leave room to be abused and most importantly is an INSTANT solution to this problem. The way it would work is you would have an NPC located in the fleets of both factions, obviously an alien character so no new voice work needed who would be updated on a daily basis with the total number of level 50 characters for each faction, allowing a small percentage of players to switch to the corresponding class of the opposing faction. So for example, on your server there are 500 level 50 Republic players and 700 level 50 Imperial players. The difference being 200, 100 of those would have to switch from Imperial to Republic to balance the server at 600 to 600. The NPC located at the Imperial Fleet would then be updated with 100 tokens allowing characters to transfer their faction, given out on a first come first server basis and updated daily with server populations. Now lets say you have your balanced population of 600 to 600, but over the next few weeks you only have 20 new characters reaching level 50 on Imperial side and 50 on the Republic side bringing your total to 620 to 650 and it would now work in reverse allowing 15 Republic characters to make use of the transfer if they wished. This system maintains a constant balance of the player base, and if more elaborated on could even consist of a small quest line such as turning to the dark side as a jedi, or finding the error of your ways as a sith type of deal. To handle the gear issue involved in this, any blues, oranges, or greens you have would be destroyed with the transfer. Any end game PVP or PVE gear you have obtained would be placed in token form so you can buy whatever you already had. I think this is the main reason people don't want to re-roll new characters being they already have a full set of battlemaster or champion gear on their main character so it handles that pretty well. And to clarify there would only be 1 transfer per character so if you went Imperial to Republic you couldn't go back at a later date. This would ensure that players who haven't used the service might eventually get a chance to take advantage of it if they wished. Thoughts?
  4. Bioware, please fire the majority of your creative department and hire this man.
  5. Probably not for awhile, the server populations are so out of wack. Probably gonna see server merges before you see character transfers.
  6. wow.. I'm glad other people are experiencing it as well, I happens a lot now in warzones especially when I have the ball in huttball.
  7. This system needs to be looked at, almost anyone who has dealt with it has come to that same opinion. The major issue I see isn't the pace of getting bags, it is getting duplicate items. I'm only rank 54 but so far I've got 3x belts and 2x gloves. And while that made me almost furious when you think about the amount of effort you spend to get these things, I know other people who have got 5 or 6 of the same item. It really kills any motivation to even play this mess.
  8. haha, I'm not saying its specifically them. Just that's the only ones that its happened to me with.
  9. This has happened to me at least 5 times, when I am charging as a vanguard and a sorcerer/sage uses a knockback it sends me into an area with just the background of whatever the map is and my speakers make a loud POP. This is probably the most annoying bug I've ever seen in an MMO.. To make matters worse there is nothing you can do to get out of this area and eventually it just kicks you from the match.
  10. Huttball needs to go into a hole a die. Bioware please fire whoever came up with this miserable game.
  11. I think the point the OP is trying to make is that the choices for PVP are pathetic at best. First off there are only 3 mini games, and out of those 9 out of 10 times you get crappy huttball. I mean honestly when you look at the budget for this game it should of launched with AT LEAST 7 or 8 different maps if not more. Second world pvp is almost none existent for the most part, and the idiotic way the world is instanced makes it even more impossible to find. No one wants a part of it if its not in some way tangible to partake in. Thats the problem with MMO's today they give a constant stream of small reward that keeps you playing and interested but if there isn't a mechanic then you feel like your 'wasting time'. Third when the underlying theme is Republic Vs. Empire you kind of expect something more. I mean, would it of been that hard to make small contestable area's on each planet that give a bonus to its owners? I love the story in this game, its great, thats why i bought it. Its just not enough to justify to myself paying 15 bucks a month to repeat flashpoints over and over calling it an end game.
