  2. Yeah, I know what you mean, 1 on 1 my Sorc used to own Mercs. Now I'm lucky to go toe to toe against a Merc with my Sorc 1 on 1. The Mercapocalypse is fun isn't it? Especially when you get nailed by multiple Mercs with multiple electro nets I have no issue with Mercs being tanky now and keeping their dmg output, but electro net puts them over the top.

  4. No, I was just on it a little bit ago, but queues were dead and the mail was broken, so I tried relogging back in and couldn't get back in the server, but there are/were ppl on Harbinger

  7. The Kylo Ren sabre should never have been put into the Old Republic to begin with. It's sad how the lore got so badly messed up by Bioware. I miss the good ole' days when there were color crystal restrictions based on alignment, now they'll sell ppl anything, regardless if it makes sense or not, JUST to make a buck. Bunch of spineless fruit loops
  8. Yeah, that's been driving me nuts. Basically I've settled on my 2 favorite companions and rotate them since the current one is ALWAYS missing when I return from a warzone. This ranks up there with the MESSED UP gear preview window glitch for me. And that one has been around for a while now. Hell, yesterday they couldn't even get the game back up after maintenance and a short patch I'm gonna take a wild shot in the dark and assume this game is running on a skeleton crew?
  9. I have a Lightning Sorc too and personally I'm fine with where Sniper is at atm. Before 5.0 Sniper were kinda in a sad state in terms of PvP, at least from the point of view of fighting against them. Now Snipers can really compete pretty well. But mercs are over the top. To have great dps, great defences, self healing and electro net is a bit much. If mercs wanna keep their survivability and dps, cool, I'm fine with that, but let's at least nerf and/or take away electro net.
  10. That's true, but short sighted. I guess they can sit back and coast since THIS is the ONLY Star Wars MMO. Disney should open up the franchise to a little good ol' competition. I hate letting EA dominate Star Wars like they dominated the NFL games. Only through competition do you get the best product in my opinion. EA has a history of screwing up MMOs anyway, look at what they did to Warhammer Online.
  11. Ranked is a joke now with the bad class imbalance. I see and hear ppl rage quitting ranked and rolling regs only now because of how bad the balance has become. It's bad enough Bioware never invested in a cross server queue system for ranked like they said there were going to, but by continuously botching class balance like this it only let's fotm toons roll ranked matches. Sad thing is it's always been like this. You'd think after 5 1/2 years they'd get it right. Buff one or two classes like mad........wait for the river of tears, then Nerf those same classes into the ground, lol, it's gotten to be a bad joke. I've been on since beta and have to say the devs are and have always been pretty clueless, they always go from one extreme to the other, it's insane.

  14. Not only do both need a slight dps boost, but the force management for madness is rough compared to lightning I've noticed. I literally never run out of force running lightning spec but can't keep any force running madness. So for me, buff dps a bit for both (don't go merc level nuts) and cut the force cost a bit for madness. Personally I'd love to see the dot self heals back up to 25% where they used to be with an 8m Death Field range like we had when the spec was solid in regs. The 5m Death Field AoE range is weak and 10% self heals off dots ain't nothing.
  15. I've heard that many times before and that IS a good idea, they went from PT owning rear ends last year to getting their rear ends handed to them now. You don't even SEE many PTS/VGS anymore in PvP at all. Whoever has the final say on class balance should be fired............immediately
  16. signed............Mercs have great ranged dps burst, great survivability and have electro net so if their DCDs are up they are almost invincible in a 1 on 1 fight. Either tone down their survivability or take away their electro net. Even at it's peak, Madness Sorc wasn't as OP as Merc is now, Sorc got nerfed into the dirt for nothing and Merc got made into gods, great balance.

  18. You obviously didn't read the patch notes for 5.0 class changes very well at ALL.............. It clearly states that all dps classes must now roll Merc...........duh
  19. If you are going to play a lot of ranked matches, go SIN. Both dps sorc specs got nerfed and sorc is at best a dps support class now. Worst part is you'll often be the only dps sorc and WILL be focused down hard, trust me. Madness and Lightning are still fun for regs though, but I'd avoid ranked unless you can build a team around you and roll team ranked. If you pug sorc, just go regs.

  21. Some would argue that MMOs do this on purpose to continuously get people to reroll and grind forever. But I could easily counter argue that this type of tactic hurts games because any game with an imbalance is simply no fun to play. As for the Dev argument, I used to hear Devs only play Sorc/Sage..........look how that turned out
  22. Dear Bioware, Please reevaluate the class changes for 5.0. Mercs are taking over the game for DPS in both PvE and PvP. Certainly Mercs pre 5.0 were a bit of a glass cannon, but the survival changes have gone too far. Not only do they possess fantastic burst at ranged but with their new survivability and electro net at their disposal no other dps class can really compare. It's common to see droves of them in WZs, topping dmg charts with few to no deaths, but they have literally taken over ranked and I would guess endgame PvE is much the same, only Mercs are wanted in tough fights. So, the question then becomes one of a) play what you love and get hampered and restricted in endgame content. or b) follow the fotm herd and roll a merc which is happening more and more equaling an imbalance in the class population. Everyone knew who read the 5.0 PTS notes saw this coming a mile away, yet the changes went on as planned. 5.0 is baffling to me and to many others, I've been a loyal sub since launch and did beta testing as well, but this degree of class imbalance literally breaks the game. Of course it's happened before with other classes as I'm sure will be brought up, but 5 + years in I would have HOPED we could finally get it right.
  23. lol no worries. that is a cool thing to have a bit of extra healing when you're using your rage abilities. On an Anni Mara combined with bleed self heals I wonder if they'd amount to much.
  24. On Mara utilities, does the 1% healing on abilities that use rage only work right after you use Bloodhirst or is it a passive that always grants 1% healing when you use ablilities that require rage?
