  1. Hi,

     

    I'd like opinions on the new tier of gear in relation to healing sages, as it stands my full-augmented wh gear has served me well. However, look through the new vendor there seems to be yet again an abundance of stat combinations that do not seem appealing.

     

    I've been trying to minimize my alacrity, but it seems to be on every piece now :/

     

    What gear will you been grinding for over the next few weeks?

  2. I unsubbed, each "update" has been a utter letdown. Class balance is a joke, lack of any open world. the game for pvpers is basically 4 zones + fleet.

     

    The game doesn't even feel like a MMO, at least with a F2P model other can see how much of a letdown the game is. I had fun playing the stories but that's the only thing this game has and it's not worth paying monthly for. No matter how much "potential" you fanbois chat **** about.

  3. But that was it. There wasn't anything to do...but sit in the catina for hours on end, zip... zero...nada.

     

    Yes there was, craft, pvp, guild cities, real space combat, space pvp, DWB, geo caves, base busting, unlocking jedi, collecting badges, exploring.

     

    dunno what game you played but I found loads to do. Pre-CU only mind.

    Betcha 10$ he has full recruit gear.

     

    Nah, BM is piss easy to get now. But yeah who needs 50% damage mitigation, pro healers are "slippery little ***********" they can los everyone always.

  5. seeing as none of us on the forums are devs, your not going to get a definnite answer on this.

     

    however, taking an informed guess i would say that cross server queues are almost certain at some point, given the amount of interest in them and the fact that something needs to be done about queueing before too many people leave. the question is, how long will it take for the devs to implement them? and how messed up will they be on release?

     

    I guess at least 6months and very messy.

  6. So you played every class story? Sounds like you got your moneys worth and then some.

     

    not all the way. I've spent what £95 so far (40 box 10 upgrade 45 subs) at this point, this game dosent step up for me.

     

    side note - I've played bf3 the same amount of time as this game (according to xfire) and there is no subscription on that oh and it only cost me £26 with expansion.

     

    OMG I just realised EA has me hook line and... :D

  7. And this is why all the top teams (yes, ALL of them) are buildling their teams around Marauders and Assassins? Because they know how easily these classes are countered so they choose to use them? Lol good logic there buddy.

     

    Too true. If I were to build a 8 man team atm it would go something like this;

    4 sents all watchman

    2 shadows

    2 scoundrel healers (not too sure about the healers)?

     

    What team could beat this?

  8. When I clicked the 'Buy' button on the GW2 button not a single **** was givien by me about what SWTOR might become. since playing the beta one thing has changed- I closed my SWTOR sub. Why? because this game offers nothing once you play each class quests.

     

    No changes will bring me back unless they are massive and pvp in origin and I'm a loyal sw fan, trust I payed sony for swg. :confused:

  9. Because when I run away from a powertech, I get yanked back and slowed, a slow I can't even cleanse. And I'm still getting hit for 4k multiple times in a row. For anyone claiming that marauders can easily burn down a good pyro - lol, just lol.

     

    @ Have you played even 1 of these classes? pretty sure you haven't if you had you would not be laughing, you would know a marauder v a Pyro, marauder has it easy if he is annihilation also, he can always get away.@

     

     

    A marauder has crap burst DPS compared to a pyro. Show me a marauder do 25k damage to a single target in 9 seconds.

    Marauders can burn me down too, but it usually takes them at least 25-30 seconds by themselves (and only the good ones can kill me).

     

    @You're wrong. Marauders have some good burst too, not as good a PT but still it's there.

     

    I have a sage healer too (which I've played alot, my main in every game is a healer.) you have some pretty bad marauders on your server, must be alot of re-rolls ey? wonder why.

     

    Good marauders should kill you in 12 seconds (while being beaten on) and you will only be able to cast insta heals, unless you are hybrid specced with traited kb for snare and blind bubble. If you are 31 seer, you die. Bad marauders are just that bad. But bad players play every class so not sure of you point here? Still having a bad one on you its still ouch time.@

     

    So yes, literally the only defense I have against powertechs is to use both force slow and force speed immediately, and if either of those are down, well, I'm completely screwed.

    But no, it's absolutely hilarious reading all you pyros out there trying to justify your class's burst potential.

     

    @Dps is as a whole is op atm, PT have a big burst granted slightly op but are a well balanced class that become great when supported by a good team (could be same for most dps atm) You sound very butthurt from this guy on your server, guessing you play against him alot- probably the reason he is so good he played pvp alot.@

    Sounds to me like you have a vendetta against a good player playing a good class. Standard.

     

    btw, if you are saying sage healing is fine you don't know sage or pvp very well.

    Thats the problem, if they throw rated wz's in, then the pugs, and rated groups end up waiting forever to get a que. Waiting to play a game is bad, no matter how someone describes it. If your waiting for a que, and theres absolutely nothing to do(My guild started keeping a record of most jumps from one table to another in the center of fleet) you have failed as a game designer.

     

    Cross server ques, and server mergers and rated wz's need to happen together.

     

    Cool post. Let me add what bioware would need to implement within the next 3 months (when my game time runs out) to keep me as a customer.

     

    -rated warzones

    -better pvp stats

    -8 man groups

    -half decent world pvp

    -massive class update for pvp

    -cross server queues

    -server transfers

     

    would be nice:

    -spectator mode

    -removal of voidstar

    -2 new warzone maps

    -ops group voice chat

     

    Instead we have a group finder coming I think in 1.3? I'm always grouped with the same 3 people, pretty sure i will never use this, at least I looked at the family tree thing (if only for 5mins, I'm slightly roleplay :D)

     

    I like this game, I like lightsabers but it is not worth the £12 a month or whatever it is to a pvp'er, hell is it even worth that to a raider? a roleplayer? anyone?? compared to other mmo's, I think not. The only thing this game has going for it is lightsabers, blasters and old Jedi masters. It's a real shame.

  11. I know at least 20 peeps who have cancelled and only play because they have time remaining, guess what.. they all pvp'ers. Our server's pop is so low our two premades play each other every wz. Sorry, Bioware is a good company but they ****ed up with this.
  12. Watchman may need a slight nerf because it is quite silly in the damage department. However I believe the problem lies more within the survivability of other classes (which needs to be seriously looked at) and also the insane nerf healing took in 1.2
  13. So, basically what you're saying is, you're no longer capable of joining single que's and being effective in a random group unless you have a sentinel to carry your dead weight.

     

    Ya, that's a great argument for sage's being FINE.....

    I didn't say sages were fine, I agree we are broken, but not impossible to play.

  14. With gaurd on me from a strong tank, I am nigh on invulnerable in pvp. l:

     

     

    If this is true you play against bads.

     

    My sage has 18.8k hp @ 1000 expertise and with a good marauder on me I am pretty much healing myself to stay alive after 4secs.

  15. I'v been playing Sage healer in pvp since release, and in my experience while the 1.2 update did nerf our survivability it isn't something a good premade can't work around. I would say guard is a must now where as before it was nice but not necessary, and I usually get our sentinel to smack people smacking me, easy money.

     

    On skills, I use deliverance alot less usually only when i'm not being attacked and benevolence alot more (actually rarely used it pre 1.2) now it is my goto heal for people on 50%+- health.

     

    I still pump out 350k + every wz with prob 500k-600k on voidstar/denova. I would say scoundrel/ops have the edge on us but not by much, and mercs/commandos plus is they have their shield. ah well.

     

    useless nope, nerfed yes- I think this is heightened by the buffs to dps, expertise and every fotm pvper rolling marauder/sent. :wea_03::wea_03:

  16. I usually always get the 300k healing medal unless it's a short game. I'm in battlemaster/columi mix and get the most healing pretty much every WZ.

    My consistency increased greatly after about 4 pieces though.

     

    Until then, you should be trying to maximise the effectiveness of your heals.

     

    cast salvation near cramped fighting areas or places you know people take aoe damage.

    don't use your big heal to keep people at max. Try and always have it down, no point saving it unless your low on force (which should not be the case unless your trance is getting pwned)

     

    However, healing numbers lie, you can be much more effective as a sage, by preventing damage as well as healing it, making enemies do less real dps to you will prob result in you doing less healing, but it is win.

  17. I've lost 100% of my warzones. Counted 33 now. Lost everyone. Im a republic trooper level 35, and i dont approve this games pvp. Nerf the empire. They got quicker casts, longer range, shorter cooldowns. Bioware is digging their own grave right now.

     

    I played 5 wz today as republic won 4, L2p troopers are epic.
