[Any wow refugees out there?]

Unlikely...SWToR has all the problems WoW has and has had without the resources laid down for content...It's a lesser game than WoW that was designed to clone WoW but with the addition of character/class stories... Which they stopped producing after launch... Yes folks that's right they stopped producing the only thing unique (besides it's awesome IP) about the game after launch.

 

As it happens those class stories are really the only thing I like about the game still and they stopped making them...

 

FFXIV is getting all the WoW refugee's with maybe a couple that had previously played SWToR returning until something better comes along...basically people that just don't like Final Fantasy keeping in mind that ESO is getting most of those folks.

 

I'm sure A few people will give SWToR a crack but coming from WoW it's likely they won't be here long as they will see a lot of the same things that they disliked in WoW here especially on the microtransactions front.

 

The only reason SWToR doesn't get a lot of hate is because it's not really even on the MMO player base radar...It's practically invisible... it doesn't matter to the masses.

 

SWToR has never done anything significant enough to gain recognition since its launch.

Actually, the entire companion system and the "innovative" crafting system isn't unique at all. It has was done already years ago by a game called Grand Phantasia. What we have is nothing more than a prettied up version of that system with a few tweeks to make it fit into the Star Wars setting.

 

And unfortunately the "innovative" crafting system is total **** for us dedicated crafters.

I'm done with TOR for now. I run out of time today and won't be back until I see significant improvements to player customization and crafting.

I'd say lag/performance issues people are encountering are more important than a combat log.

 

I'd like to have but don't view it all as "crucial".

 

Please stop acting like a combat log would slow down every other aspect of the game.

 

The real reason Bioware won't add a combat log is because then players can see what is broken and not in raids and classes since we would have real numbers to test with.

Here's what I find most hilarious about fans of TOR.... they pay $15 a month. And let's give the TOR fans a benefit of the doubt and say there are 1.7million customers paying that amount out of 2 million subs (yeah, I'm being generous).

 

That's $25 million dollars a month. Any game company could make a kick *** game for what TOR makes in a month. But what does EA do with this cash cow? They pocket the money, and only dole out the bare minimum content to keep the rabid Biodrones glossy eyed.

 

 

TOR players are being taken for a ride and they don't even realize it.

Yes it is. The difference between SWG and TOR is that for a sandbox SWG was pretty damn great TOR for a themepark is not.

The point of the matter is, you are paying for future updates and content.

 

If they patched COD weekly and added content every month to their dedicated servers, they would have tons of people paying $15 a month to get it.

 

Don't they have one million Call of Duty plus subscribers? $15 a month for monthly dlc.

 

We are not paying for future content we are paying to play the game as it is now now then.

It would take a massive overhaul of everything in this game to remove the trinity. It's too late for that.

 

Too late? Maybe but well Final Fantasy 14 is still being overhauled only reason I don't see this happening to TOR is because of EA.
